PERMADOR / PARADOR HIGH PRESSURE GATE VALVES PERMADOR Description and properties Description of function PERMADOR gate valves have a wedge-shaped plate shut-off system. The contact force required for sealing is applied by the wedging of the shut-off fitting. The wedge plate design has significant advantages Realization of the ideal wedge, with a lower opening than closing force. Introduction of the contact pressure in the mean seat diameter, avoiding deformation of the sealing plates. Body seat ring PERMADOR Guiding of the shut-off fittings The body seat ring and the guiding in the shutoff fittings form a single unit. This is why no guide rails are necessary here. The integrity of the body is not compromised. Pressure sealing bonnet The seal consists of pure graphite. The internal pressure presses the bonnet against the seal, which in turn is supported in the body. Gasket Thanks to the sloping partition, the pressure forces are redirected to both the body wall and the bonnet. Gland The gland packing consists of individual prepressed open rings. The following materials are used according to the application area: Stem sealing Pure graphite and PTFE. Contact pressure is applied via studs in the packing. The rolled packing space and the burnished stem ensure the optimum distribution of contact pressure throughout the packing space. Sealing surfaces Stellite sealing surfaces in the body and on the sealing plate guarantee high wear resistance, even with high surface pressures. The lapped surfaces ensure reliable sealing. Stem The hammer head stem is forged from a corrosion-resistant chrome steel in one piece. The stem shaft is burnished. The trapezoidal screw Stem thread is produced using special whirling machines with maximum precision and surface quality. Stem bearing The stem force is captured via the threaded bushing using an axial deep groove ball bearing with a long service life. The bearings have long-lasting lubrication and are protected against pollution by oil seals. The threaded bushing can be lubricated via a grease nipple. 07
PERMADOR / PARADOR HIGH PRESSURE GATE VALVES PERMADOR Overpressure safety devices In a closed PERMADOR gate valve, heating of fluid enclosed in the third chamber can cause undue pressure in the body (fig. 1). The resulting pressure in the body cause the permissible pressure to be exceeded, leading to the failure of the component. This can occur especially with gate valves with self-sealing. To avoid prohibited operating conditions of this kind, the system designer is required to provide suitable pressure relief devices (see fig. 2-5). PERMADOR / PARADOR HIGH PRESSURE GATE VALVES PARADOR Description and properties Description of function PARADOR gate valves have a shut-off system, which consists of two parallel sealing plates. The sealing plates are preloaded on heat-resistant compression springs and remain in contact with the sealing surfaces of the body during the entire lifting movement. The specially designed shut-off system reliably prevents the build-up of pressure in the valve body. Other benefits: constant actuating forces The parallel shut-off system cannot be mechanically stuck or jammed. No increase in actuating forces in the end position. Intermediate positions The parallel sealing surfaces of the shut-off system are pressed by the spring force and the operating pressure during the entire lifting movement. With moderate pressure differences, intermediate positions of the shut-off device are possible. K2000R SWING CHECK VALVE Pressure sealing bonnet The seal consists of pure graphite. The internal pressure presses the bonnet against the seal, which in turn is supported in the body. Thanks to the Bonnet sloping partition, the pressure forces are redirected to both the body wall and the bonnet. Bearing pin The corrosion-resistant bearing pin for the sealing plate is secured using a u-shaped bracket, and the bracket is clamped onto the bonnet Bearing pin with screws. The screws are doubly secured and specially designed to prevent loosening and falling out. CONSTRUCTIVE Design K2000R General information K2000R is a swing check valve that ensures perfect, simple operation thanks to its glandless bolt mounting. The sealing plate is actuated by the differential pressure of the flow medium. The degree of opening is determined by the throughput rate. In the fully open position, the sealing plate opens sufficiently for the nominal diameter. The non-return valve is closed with a bonnet. Shut-off system The mounted sealing plate is freely suspended on an eyelet in the bearing pin attached to the body seal. The bracket prevents the bearing pin from falling out. It is connected to the pressure sealing bonnet by means of two hexagonal screws. The screws are secured against unwinding using locking plates. In addition, the length of the screw ensures that the plate suspension secures it against falling out. Sealing surfaces The sealing surfaces on the body seal and the sealing plate are armoured and guarantee high wear resistance. The lapped surfaces ensure reliable sealing. Bearing pin The bearing pin is made of wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant chrome steel. The shaft is polished. Pressure sealing bonnet A bonnet forms the end of the main body. The sealing strength increases with increasing internal pressure. Thanks to the sloping partition of the seal, the pressure forces are redirected to both the attachment and the bonnet. The intermediate ring is mounted on the split ring, which is positioned in the attachment. The preloading of the bonnet takes place in the pressureless, cold state via stud bolts with hexagonal nuts. 11
