GENERAL Application Honeywell EW10 Series multijet water meters are used for flow measurement of cold or warm water in potable water systems. They are available in sizes DN15 to DN0 and have an electronic counter with optical interface as well as M-Bus or RF output. EW100 water meters are suitable for cold water up to 0 C. EW101 water meters are suitable for warm water up to 90 C. It is permanently fixed to the flow sensor but can be rotated for better readability The meter can be read from a single line seven-digit display with units and symbols. A push button provides control of various display loops. All failures and faults are recorded automatically and displayed on the LCD screen. For protection all relevant data is saved in a volatile memory. This memory saves measured values, device parameters and types of error at regular intervals Flow Sensor The multijet technology of the flow sensor combines high measuring accuracy with long term stability. The impeller is connected to the counter by inductive sensing. Power Supply Lithium battery.0v DC with 10 year nominal lifetime. Interfaces EW10 Series water meters are equipped with a ZVEI optical interface for communication and testing as standard. EW10xBF versions additionally have an 868MHz RF module on board as standard. Installation Calming legs before or after EW10 Series multijet water meters are not required Sizes DN15 20 may be installed in any position Sizes DN25 0 may only be installed in horizontal position Avoid installation at highest point of system or system part as air may be trapped in meter It is recommended to place a ballvalve before and after the meter for easy replacement During measurement meter must be completely filled with water Communication and Readout Communication Options EW10 Series water meters have an optical interface on the front panel and either an RF or M-Bus interface. OS-Numbers starting with EW100BF and EW101BF have an RF interface EW100BM and EW101BM have an M-Bus interface Optical interface on front panel Included as standard in all EW10 Series water meters. ZVEI interface, M-Bus protocol, for readout and parametrisation. Required for access to meter: Bluetooth optohead (EWA001799) PC with HydroSet software RF interface Transmission interval 6 seconds, suitable for walk by and fixed RF networks. Open Metering Standard protocol, frequency 868MHz. M-Bus interface Configurable telegram, according to EN1757-, data reading and parametrisation via two wires with polarity reversal protection, auto baud detection (00 and 200 baud), 2 M-Bus connections with 2 primary adresses. Readout Options Manual readout by visiting meter and reading consumption values off display Optical: by visiting meter and reading consumption values out via optical interface RF: remote readout by attaching meter to a mobile or fixed RF network M-Bus: remote readout by attaching meter to an M-Bus network Setup Table.
