General safety- and accident prevention regulations: Basic rule: Before Using the machine, check foolproofness and road safety! Take care of the instructions of this operation manual. Also of the general legal safety- and accident prevention regulations! Make sure that all protective equipments are mounted correctly. It is too late for this while working! The user is responsible opponent thirds in workspace! Staying in danger- / workspace is not allowed! Start the machine just from the drive- / operator station. It is not allowed to start the engine by shortout of the electric circuit points on the starter ( when it is available ), because the machine or the accessory equipment could move possibly. Take care of the close- up range before driving ( Children! ) Take care of adequate sight! Do not let the engine work in closed rooms! Emissions of the engine are toxic! The dress of the Driver / User should lie close to his body. Take sturdy shoes! Take care by dealing with fuel- arise fire danger! Do not deal or refill fuel next to open flames, flamable sparks or hot parts of the engine. Do not smoke while dealing with fuel! Stop the engine or take off the ignition key before refuel. Do not refuel in closed rooms. Do not spill fuel! ( Use something to help you fill in (e.g. a hopper)! ) You have to keep the machine always clean to avoid fire danger! Take care by dealing with Battery acid and brake fluid ( toxic and acidly!). You have to couple the equipment and fix the devices just in an approved way! Take special care by couple or uncouple equipment on or off the tractor! You have to bring the stabilizer in the particular position while mount or dismount! (Safety of standing!) Check and mount transport equipment like lighting, alarm unit and possible protection! Never leave the driver s cab while driving!
Consider the centrifugal mass and / or the wide overhang- when driving curves- of the equipment! Use the equipment just when all protections are mounted and brought in protection position! It is not allowed to stay in the work area! Do not stay in the swivel range of the equipment! It is just allowed to activate the hydraulic facilities when there are no persons in the swivel range! There are squeeze- and shear zones on extern activated parts! Before leaving the tractor lower the bottom, switch off the engine and take away the ignition key! No one has to stay between tractor and equipment without saving the vehicle against rolling away. You have to save it by handbrake and / or by put under cotter! Passenger transport, Co- driver, User: The entrainment of persons on the GLS collector is not allowed! Drive operation: Switch on the turbines actuation by idle speed. You have to switch off the traction drive and maybe the accessory when you start the engine! The driving speed always has to be adapted to the surrounding circumstances and to the loading situation. Avoid sudden curve- driving when driving up hill, slide and driving cross near to a hillside. Never declutch or change gears in slope! Couple on trailer and equipment in an approved way. Drivability, Ability of navigation and brake and also the bistable element are affected by equipment, ballast and loading situation. Because of this take care that you have enough ability of navigation and brake! Pay attention of allowed axle load limit, buff load and total weight! Leaving the machine: Safe the transporter against rolling away and unauthorised using ( handbrake, put under cotter ). Switch off the engine and take away the ignition key ( when available ). Do not leave the machine unattended while the engine is working! Do not leave the Userposition ( driver s seat ) while working! Close the fuel tap when you switch off the vehicle! Built- on equipment: Before mount and dismount of equipment on the three point linkage, bring all levers in a position where unintended lifting or drapping is excluded! In the area of the three- point- linkage is risk of injury by squeeze- and shear zones! You have to drap the container when driving on the road. Actuation: You have to use the v- belt as prescribed by the producer! Protections have to be mounted and also have to be in a correct status. Mount and dismount the v- belt just when the engine and the coupler are off and the ignition key is taken away! Take always care of right assembly and safety of the v- belt! Take care before switch on the actuation that there is nobody in the danger zone of the equipment! Never switch on the actuation when the engine is switched off. Attention after switch off the actuation there is danger by subsequent centrifugal mass! While this time avoid to go to near to the equipment. Just when it stops you are allowed to work on it. If there are disadvantages you have to correct them before working with the equipment! Hydraulic installation: Hydraulic installation is under high pressure! By connecting of hydraulic cylinder you have to take care of the prescribed adapter of the hydraulic hoses! By connecting the hydraulic hoses on the tractor hydraulic you have to take care that the hydraulic is depressurized as well as tractor and equipmentsided. You have to mark the coupling boxes and the connector plug by hydraulic operation connections between tractor and equipment in order that faulty operation is excluded! By exchange of the connections there is reverse operation (e.g. lifting / lower)- risk of accident!
Servicing: Resigning high- pressure fluid (hydraulic oil, fuel, cooling water) which is standing under high pressure could interfuse or burn up the skin and cause severe injuries. Because of this you have to consult a doctor immediately- danger of infection! Dispose oil, fuel, batteries, brake fluid, cooling fluid and filter separately and correctly! The assembly on wheels and drives implies sufficient knowledge and specified assembly- tools! You have to retightening bolts for the wheels after all 20 hours of operation. At first you have to take off the earth strap of the battery when working at the electrical attachment! At first you have to switch off the engine, take away the ignition key (when available) and save the vehicle against rolling away when servicing and setting up works and also cleaning is on. Switch off the engine before opening the bonnet, cowling. Spare parts have to conform at least the defined technical demands of the producer! You can reach this by using original spare parts! All safety switch and safety installations have to work correctly! Make sure that all fixings are mounted correctly! Work on the engine just when it is cooled off adequately. Working on the hot engine could cause burn- injuries! Do not work on high pressure systems, e.g. hydraulic, cooler etc. Consult your dealer by technical problems like this. Do not make any changes on the machine by yourself. This can cause arise the risk of accident.
1. Technical facts: Type: GLS 1000 Necessary number of revolutions on the actuation: Necessary hydraulic pressure on the tractor: Capacity volume: Highness of emptying: Number of revolutions of the rotor from the suction turbine: Diameter of the blower: engine speed 150 bar 1 m 2000 mm 2800 min 480 mm V- belt: 2 exemplars (Attention: Just use original v- belts.) W800 SA40 1 exemplar SB 62 Headroom: 1960 mm (inkl. bend) 2180mm Width: 1750mm Tare: 425 kg
4. Preparation on the SF: For using the SF has to be equipped with the GLScollector rear- sided with 3 hydraulic adapters. 2 adapters with double action controller. (Open and close of the door) 1 adapter with single- acting controller (high dump). The inflation pressure in the back tractor wheels has to have all- over the same worth. The drive assembly for the turbine has to be mounted on the SF. 5.Buildup of the GLS- collector: Usually the GLS will be delivered on transport wheels. The drive assembly for the turbine has to be mounted by experts workshop. V-Belt: The v-belt is a high power v- belt. Because of this use just original v- belts by ISEKI- MASCHINEN- GMBH Germany! Take care that the v-belt always has the right tension. If you do not have experience of tension a v-belt, you should approach to the next experts workshop. Never use the collector when the belt guard is demounted. 6. Mount of the collector: Back the front mower SF on the collector, switch off the engine and save it against rolling away. Move the GLS 1000 manual over the base machine. You have to drap the GLS 1000 by the transport wheels and screw it on the intended attachment position. Assemble the v- belt and adjust the initial tension. Attention! For secure assembly you have to use correct tools. When assembling the transport wheels you have to drap first the GLS- collector. Just assembly on permanent, flat background. Transport wheels: The transport wheels have to be mounted at the special assembling points and be fixed by special nuts. The transport wheels only have to be disassembled when the GLS is mounted on the base machine stationary. The transport wheels are not allowed to stay on the machine when driving on street and when operating the machine. Check the right alignment of the v- belt by inspection. You have to assemble the v- belt guard before using! Build hydraulic adapters to the tractor. Take care that the plug clutches will be coupled on the right tractor adapters. Build the electrical connection for the level control of the GLS. Check again if all connections to the base machine are there before you get off the transport wheels. Couple the suction pipe in such a way that you have a preferably straight connection to the mower deck. Attention! Check before using the collector that there are not contaminants in the turbines and in the suction area.let the turbine always warm- up by low engine rpm! Check the functional efficiency of the level indicator.
7. Dismount of the collector: The dismount takes place in reversed order like it is described in the mount. Attention! You have to drap the linkage completely before dismount the collector. The back door has to be closed. Before mount and dismount you have to bring all operating levers of the collector in position, so that there is unintended lift or drapping excluded. When mount and dismount there is risk of injury by squeeze- and shear zones. When operating with the hydraulic excavation it is not allowed that there are any persons in the danger zone. When driving with the GLS consider that the outer allowances of the vehicle and the position of centre of gravity change. 2. Start of operation of the collector: To avoid plugging of the suction turbine you should keep the following order: a) Start the SF b) Switch on the collector by low idle speed c) Switch on the mower deck d) Adjust the engine on nominal speed e) Drap the mower deck f) Start slowly and adjust the operating speed to the Grass conditions Attention! Pay attention if there are contaminants in the terrain. These have to be taken out before start to work. 8. Work with the collector: 1. Put on the suction pipe and the suction shoe Fix the suction pipe on the fitting of the suction shoe canal on the mower deck. The suction pipe will plugged on the suction shoe and with a clip. You have to attach the other end of the suction pipe on the manifold of the suction turbine and with a clip.
3. Carrier trip: The GLS Gras- and Leafcollector is just allowed to be transported in empty and in lowered postion. Please take care when transporting on the roads: The collector has to be equipped with lightning installation according to road homologation, (backlight, route- indicating signal, stoplight, licence number, reflector). Additionally you have to fix the running light, when the collector protrudes above 400 mm across the break light of the tractor. By low garages entrances the manifold inlet assy can tool lot dismounted. 4. Drain the box: High dump: Before emptiing the collector you have to lift the box in the wished as the case maybe maximal Highness. Following the rear door will be opened hydraulically. Attention! The draining and lifting of the box is just allowed, when the collector is mounted on the SF correctly. Do not drain the collector on slope! UPSET DANGER! Do not stay in the swivel range of the box! Stay below the box is just allowed, when the mechanical depression barrier is activated and the collector is drained previously.
9.Servicing and care of the GLS- collector: 1. Swivel and link: All swivels and links are: a) have special steel bearing b) mounted with safety bolts c) greasable The swivel- and link points have to be cleaned and greased weekly. By excessive work the bush has to be replaced by new ones. 2. Hydraulic constructions: a) Check the hydraulic system if it is leak- proof daily b) Check hoses and adapters on damages c) You have to exchange porous and shredded hoses. At the latest after 6 years the hoses have to be exchanged. 3. Bolts: All bolted joints have to be checked on fix hold constantly and retightening after the first 8 hours of operation. 4. V- belts: Check the v- belt tension after the first 8 hours of operation. After that you have to check it all 50 hours of operation and re- tension possibly. 5. Rotor: When operating it is unavoidable that contaminants, like little stones will be absorbed and reach through the blower. It depends on the abrasion of the turbine how often contaminants. attain through the turbine. Because the rotor is balanced on the nominal speed of min -1 contaminants could cause damages on the rotor and consequence is unbalance. In this case the machine has to be stopped immediately. Contact your IMGdealer directly. The rotor has to be balanced newly and maybe has to be renewed. 6. Cleaning of the machine: To guarantee a correct function it is necessary to do the following cleaning work after every application: a) Clean the net in the box. b) Clean the rotor and the fan housing. c) Take out grass remainders of the suction pipe. d) Clean the mower deck and the suction shoe. 7. Storage of the collector: If the machine stores a long time, like beyond the season, in winter etc., you have to take care on the followinging instructions: a) Clean the machine accurately, especially take out Grass leavings and dirt of the blower, the suction pipe, the suction shoe and of the box. b) Oil all swivel- and link sites. c) Check the tyre pressure. d) Correct colour- and corrosion damages. e) Bathe the machine with light spray oil. f) Store the collector dry and lee.
