Lift function The snow blade can be lifted mechanically (foot activation) or hydraulically depending on the tractor type. Lift-out linkage Fig 11 Lift Page 10
Installation 3.4. Swing function The snow blade has a manual (peg bolt) or mechanical angle adjustment element. The snow blade must be swung in lifted status (mechanical or hydraulic) Swing via manual adjustment For the manual angle adjustment you must pull off the peg bolt and reinsert it in the desired angle position of the snow blade. Peg bolt Fig. 12 Peg bolt Swing via mechanical angle adjustment Use the mechanical angle adjustment to conveniently swing the snow blade from the driver's seat. To do this the attached hand lever of the operating rod must be pressed and the operating rod must be pushed at the same time (swing in direction of travel left) or pulled (swing in direction of travel right). Operating rod Hand lever Fig. 13 Hand lever of the operating rod Page 11
Installation Fig. 14 Swing function 3.5. Adjustments on the snow blade: Before starting to clear snow, the slide runners must be correctly adjusted. To do this the snow blade is lowered onto a level surface. The snow blade is correctly adjusted when the steel skids rest on the ground and the scraper bars just barely touch the ground or clear the ground by 1-2 mm. If this is not the case the snow blade must first be adjusted. To do this proceed as follows: 1. Lower the snow blade until it is just a little above the ground, and place it on an intermediate layer that is 1-2 mm thick. 2. Disable the hydraulic system and switch off the tractor. 3. Unscrew the clamp screws of the steel skids. 4. Lower the steel skids to the ground. 5. Tighten the clamp screws and secure them with the lock nuts. 1-2 mm Fig. 15: Adjust the steel skids Page 12
Installation Clamp screw Steel skid Fig. 16 Steel skid 3.6. Trial run The tractor and the environment can be damaged. Only use the supplied material. Danger of crushing due to moving parts. Never reach into the crushing hazard danger zone if parts are moving or can move. 1. Connect the snow blade on the attachment bracket. 2. Start the tractor and move the connected implement up and down. Swing the implement to the left and to the right. Ensure that all threaded unions are firmly connected and that there is no danger of collision with adjacent components. Page 13
Operation 4. Operation Before starting up the implement read the instructions on safety and handling for operation of the entire implement and of the tractor Working with the snow blade When mounted correctly as described in section 3.2, the snow blade is operated by lowering the attachment bracket (mechanically or hydraulically) until the snow blade touches the substrate and with forward movement of the tractor Adjusting the lift height The lift height can be adjusted via the fastening bores in the lift shackle of the lift shaft an the attachment block. Lift shackle of the lift shaft Fig. 17 Adjust the lift height 4.3. Contact pressure The contact pressure on the substrate occurs only through the deadweight of the snow blade Replacing the rubber bar The rubber bar edge guard must be turned or replaced before the metal of the snow blade grinds on the substrate. Page 14
