With commodity prices where they are and projected to go in 2017, it is more important now than ever to keep a close eye on your expenses. But that can be a double edge sword, take for instance the John Deere Field Connect moisture probe. Your first thought might be that it is an unnecessary expense in today s economy, but if you take another look at it, you might be surprised. For $1,850 you can lease a John Deere Field Connect unit from Grossenburg Implement. The unit comes installed in your field and complete support from Grossenburg s and Complete Agronomy Soultions. So, for the initial investment of $1,850 and knowing the exact time to water and how much to put on. This probe could save you (depending on the year) one, two or maybe even three rounds of the pivot running. The typical cost for an electric pivot is $5.00 per acre per inch of water. 5 New Products making farming more convenient Most farmers are up at the crack of dawn and they don t quit till the sun goes down. A lot of that time is spent in the cab of a tractor. In the last few years John Deere has come out with a lot of new products to make it more comfortable and more convenient for you. Cell phones, tablets, GPS and other devices are key tools for today s farmers.
