3 Hydraulic Reel Ball Stops and Swivels Hydraulic Reel Ball Stop These hose stops are recommended with spring rewind reels and 4-way roller assemblies. Each stop is easily assembled with the fasteners provided, without any special tools. These ball stops are two-piece molded plastic spheres, custom drilled to the size you specify. 4 Planetary Capstan Drives These capstan drives are for utility applications requiring a continuous-duty capstan or collapsible reel drive. Each capstan features a highly efficient, compact planetary gear reduction that rotates on roller bearings and is powered by a compact, continuous-duty hydraulic motor. This provides rated capacities up to 6,000 lbs. on a 7 capstan head and speeds up to 68 rpm. Both the 25 and 32 units can be used either as an end puller or a mid-assist booster puller. The capstans can pull rope, tape or the fiber cable itself and the large working diameters translate into good pulling speeds; 25 (325 fpm at 50 rpm) and 32 (415 fpm at 50 rpm). The torque limiting models limit pulling torque during fiber optic placement. The slip range is factory set and wire locked for protection. The 25 torque limiters can be calibrated to regulate tension within a range of lbs. or 750-1,000 lbs. The 32 torque limiter can be calibrated to regulate tension to maximum of 600 lbs. An open torque model, which is identical in size and features to the 25 capstan head without the torque limiter, is also available. Fiber Optic Capstan Head Designed to work with your existing winch or capstan drive, this is a self-contained end puller. The torque limiting model limits pulling torque during fiber optic cable placement. This torque limiter s variable slip range is factory set and wire locked at a predetermined pull within the range. Identical in size and features but lacking a torque limiter our open torque model dissipates stored energy that accumulates during long tape or polypropylene rope pulls. When used with proper line protection such as our break away swivels, it helps maintain a constant pulling capacity, subsequently boosting the efficiency of your hydraulic puller. This smaller unit is designed to be used as an end puller. However, it may be converted for mid-assist pulling by purchasing our capstan conversion reel and retro-fitting and re-calibrating the torque limiter. 5 Reels Hose Reels Because rewind power is self-contained, spring rewind reels are extremely versatile. No power connections are required and the reels may be installed in almost any position and on all types of equipment. These reels rewind hose automatically when hose is pulled to release the ratchet. The ratchet provides interval locking or may be detached for constant tension operation. A declutching hub arbor prevents damage to the spring from reverse winding. The heavy-duty spring operates through thousands of cycles without power loss. Each unit is equipped with rollers to protect the hose as it extends and retracts from the reel. Each hose reel is equipped with two swivel joints, allowing the use of two hoses simultaneously. Models are available to handle a variety of hose sizes and lengths. Grounding Reels Grounding reels provide a simple, positive means for grounding line trucks or other vehicles parked in electrically hazardous areas. Inverse loop design, silver-plated copper contact pressure under fault conditions. Compression terminals connect the cable to the reel and ground clamp. 6 Hoists Little Mule Lineman s Hoists A fiberglass handle and polyester webbing provide increased operator safety when using proper hotline handling techniques with this lineman s hoist. 360 degree swivel hooks are equipped with safety latches for positive load engagement and a doublelocking pawl mechanism assures one pawl is engaged at all times for positive load holding in all environments. The stainless steel springs and shafts are corrosion resistant and the hoist itself is durable and portable - due to the special cast aluminum and zinc alloy housings. 8 Throttle Control System/Voltage Regulator The Automatic Throttle Control System increases engine RPM, only while in park or neutral, in order to provide higher output of the alternator under heavy electrical loading conditions. Auto-throttles can be used on many types of vehicles and are an excellent choice for applications using DC to AC inverters.
