1 The venerable MAXX is a well-known and proven shifter for many different automatic transmissions and for pump control, fifth wheel, Airport Ground Support Equipment, and other applications. It is an extremely configurable control for right-hand and left-hand vehicles and for a large number of gear variations. Its many configurations support Allison, Ford, Chrysler, GM, and Eaton- Fuller Automatic Transmissions as well as dump-, fifth wheel-, and pumpcontrols, not to mention Airport Ground Support Equipment. Built from solid aluminum castings with steel components for durability and a robust plastic top. The shifter arm is made of steel as are the detent plate, hanger (cable connection) plate, and follower. The angled Position Strip has an orange flag to clearly show the gear position combined with two lamps to improve visibility under any condition. Along with durability, safety is very important to Prime Line Industrial s. Therefore, the MAXX Lever has a pull-up release which locks in neutral and reverse. There is also a more sleek version (shown in the photo) that has a thumb-release button available on some models. If needed, the lever has a provision to lock in Drive or Highest ange, and remain in that position until it is moved by the operator. Both styles inhibit accidental gear selection. eutral start and reverse warning switches are available. If both functions are required within the control itself, two switches should be ordered (and is part of the suffix of the part number). There are versions with six switches depending upon your needs. (MAXX is very configurable.) The MAXX replaces the MA in most applications. ot only does the MAXX uses less space than the MA, it drops into the same opening. See the MA to MAXX cross-reference table. The MAXX can be used on a wide range of industrial applications from simple F-- (--F) to P---OD-D-3-- (--3-D-OD---P) in both right- and left-hand versions.
