6 PLANTING UNIT RUGGED FOR ROUGH! Arm Strong This planting unit is designed for seeding in rough conditions and at high working speeds. The parallel linkage arm is made of one high tensile steel cast piece. This design prevents from twisting and bending under loads and impacts which can occur in the toughest working conditions. 8 OPTIONS AND FEATURES GET THE MOST FROM YOUR ROW UNIT Different front attachments are available to guarantee perfect seeding in different soil conditions Front disc Unit front mounted disc coulter cuts into hard soil in reduced till conditions. The wave profile creates extremely fine tilth 7/8 wide slot. Suitable for wet, spongy soils where it can be difficult to close the furrow. Trash Wheels The adjustable trash wheels clean the row sweeping crop residues away. They prevent from uneven gauge wheels depth control and from trash burying. Trash Wheels + Front disc The combination of front disc and trash wheel ensures improved depth control by moving clods and corn root balls. Moreover the combo version guarantees a better seed to soil contact by reducing hair pinning of residue in the trench at the same time. Spring * The adjustable spring allows to set the down-pressure compared to the soil condition. 9 LONG LASTING PERFORMANCE WITH LOW MAINTENANCE! Save money and time reducing maintenance operations Cardan Shaft Drive Forget chains, lubrication and dusty wearing. No fear while working on high residues, stalks can t damage it. Bushings Self-lubricating sintered bushes, release oil particles that lubricate the hinge and are maintenance free. Super Scraper The scraper has a wear resistant Tungsten carbide profile for NO-STOP working. Super Sealed Hub The double rows ball bearing is oversized and guarantees a great reliability in the most demanding working conditions. Long life is guaranteed by triple seal protection, hub is dust proof ideal to work in wet conditions as well. 9

10 PLANTING CONSISTENCY DEPTH CONTROL Set planting depth from ⅓ to 5 thanks to the two wide gauge wheels with equalizing system to control seeding depth by counteracting left and right wheels. Even seeding depth control is guaranteed in rough soil conditions. 10

11 Gauge Wheels Gauge wheels consolidate soil immediately after furrow opening. Most down pressure is given on the side while the top soil closer to the furrow is just gently firmed before rear closing wheels. Walking gauge wheels Due to the largest diameter of double disc the walking gauge wheels action is guaranteed also planting at high depth (ex: 3 in dry soils). large double disc COMPETITOR small double disc Seed Press Wheel The stainless steel seed press wheel increases seed to soil contact improving emergence in dry soils. It can be easily excluded when not needed. V Shaper Coulter The coulter fitted between opening discs is made of wear resistant cast steel, it shapes the furrow and acts as a scraper inside the opening discs. 11

12 ACCURACY AND EXPERIENCE 99% ACCURACY Accuracy The vacuum system gently pulls and individually holds the seeds into flat seed plate holes, regardless inconsistency in shape and size. Seed Singulator The double seed singulator action can be checked from back inspection door and it can be very quickly and easily adjusted. Singulation is carried out on inner side and outer side of holes avoiding in this way doubles. Cardan Shaft The cardan shaft drive guarantees an even seed plate rotation with no maintenance need. Maximum reliability with user friendly operation! Seeding Tube The special design prevents from seed bouncing during drop. The clip eases the potential of the seed tube contacting the rotating disc openers, which causes seed tube vibration and wear. No seed tube vibration assures a more consistent placement of the seed. 12 Seed Braking System When seed falls into the narrow V shape furrow, it stops immediately maintaining an even spacing. Seeding faults are avoided and even spacing guarantees higher productivity The narrow trench on the MTR is great! This allows the seed to set at the bottom of the trench and allows for a tight close. The maintenance on the MTR is very easy. There are very few wear parts and the grease fittings are easy to get to. Rubber Tire 2 Standard 2 rubber-tire closing wheels suitable for conventionally tilled and loose soil. The soft rubber prevents soil from sticking in wet conditions. Rubber Tire 1 Optional 1 rubber-tire closing wheels are suitable for dry soil and when increasing down-force is required to firm soil. Cam adjustment Thanks to the cam adjustment the rear closing wheels tail can be finely aligned with furrow guaranteeing a perfect seed covering in every soil conditions. 14

15 Beaver tail Gaspardo beavier tails are equipped with 14 ø closing wheels: the largest wheels on the markets. The solid cast tail covers better the seed trench and long last in all soil conditions. 15

16 MAXIMETRO WIDE AND FLEXIBLE MAXIMETRO Each side wing toolbar offers a huge inclination upward (+8 ) and downward (-8 ) giving an overall 16 degrees run. Thanks to this special design, the planter guarantees a superior ground contact on rolling soils and terraces. The depth control is improved and the potential soil compaction reduced. Frame adaptability goes together with an easy and quick folding in transport. 16

18 MAXIMETRO TACKLE SOIL COMPACTION WITH TRACKS MAXIMETRO can be equipped with rubber tracks characterized by the AIR Tensioning System. Tracks offer lower soil compaction because their footprint is larger than that of a planter with wheels. They minimize soil structure degradation even in extremely muddy or wet soils. Planter can be equipped even with 2 pairs of tandem wheels (31x13,5-15). MAXIMETRO 24R

19 Steerable tracks By the MAXIMETRO, Gaspardo introduced steering planters on its product range. The steerable tracks turn as tight as a tire with 5 degrees of steering radius in order to minimize side drift and frame efforts. 19

20 MAXIMETRO HANDLES LIKE A SMALL PLANTER MAXIMETRO is equipped with an exclusive folding system in order to ensure reduced width transport, high clearance and easy handling. The telescoping tongue extends and retracts as the planter folds/unfolds. Automatic lockups combine for superior transport clearance and added safety when planter is in raised transport position. Tandem hydraulic wheels placed on each wings assist folding operations minimizing frame stress especially on the largest models. 20

21 MAXIMETRO 36R - 20 Transports in seconds Heavy-Duty tandem hydraulic powered wheels with reliable lifting arms are fixed on each wing. They fold forward and lift up the wings reducing the efforts on the central section of the frame especially on uneven or hilly soils. 21

Air clutches for row shut-off The row shut-off stops the shaft revolution, prevents from seed overlapping and wasting; when reengaged, the delivery restarts immediately. 24 ROMINA - MARINA SIMPLY HEAVY-DUTY The towed rigid frame of ROMINA is perfect to plant in every soil conditions guaranteeing the minimum power absorption. Contact wheel drive and lever gearbox are features that make the operations easy and safe. The big hoppers for fertilizer (2 x 23 bu.) are featured with the FertiSystem metering units to ensure a precise delivery. Ideal to plant on ridges, MARINA has the same heavy duty toolbar with a three point mounted design. Gearbox The gearbox with two levers is extremely user friendly. No need to change chain position and/or sprocket wheels. 24

The drive line transmission is carried out by PTO-shafts in place of conventional chains (no need for maintenance, no stalk residue getting stuck between chain and sprocket wheels). 25

28 LUCY DOING MORE WITH ONE PLANTER LUCY staggered planter allows to seed corn at 30 in. and beans at 15 in. with the same equipment. Thanks to hydraulic cylinders, each unit can be lifted up from the cab changing planter configuration for example from 15 rows at 15 in. to 8 rows at 30 in Better residue flow A special parallelogram support fixes the staggered units to the tool bar ensuring a perfect residue flow: no clogging and congestion! Moreover, this system allows and easier access to the units for service and maintenance. 28

The folding operation takes a few seconds and makes easy and safe move the planter from one field to another.
