3 Summary of riginal pplication riginal application (application no.05383) for primary recovery scheme was dated ecember, 999, sent in by enesis Exploration Ltd. The area of interest was the SW ¼ of 2-2-4W4, and the producing zone was the claren hannel Sand enesis proposed the following well spacing: a) 4.0 ha S per LS with a minimum interwell distance of 00m b) minimum 50m project boundary This included the four legal subdivisions 3,4,5, & beginning in LS 3, enesis intended to utilize one drilling pad per section & drill up to 4 wells per LS (based on above proposed well spacing)

8 mendment to pproval No. 83 s a result of a name change the EB updated the holder of the subject approval from enesis Exploration Ltd to Vintage etroleum anada Inc on July 30 th, 2002 Vintage etroleum anada Inc became aylight Energy Trust on ec st, 2004 Therefore, approval no. 83 for the primary recovery of crude bitumen from the old Lake il Sands in the SW ¼ of 2-2-4W4 now applies to aylight Energy Trust

12 Bonnyville - acilities There are 2 heavy oil batteries located at W4 and W4 aylight Energy has a 75% WI in the batteries which are equipped with heated storage tanks that treat the oil to pipeline specification Each facility has a capacity estimated to be 2000 bbl/day of total fluid The oil is hauled to the NRL W4 facility for final treating (if required) and sales roduced water is trucked to NRL W4 for disposal The sand is taken to New lta or anadian rude Separators for disposal Solution gas is now vented as there is insufficient quantities to conserve as was originally conserved as such there is a surplus compressor at the 03-2 battery

14 Bonnyville ompliance Issues The operation of the heavy oil scheme is consistent with all conditions of the approval and existing regulations There are no current compliance issues dealing with any of the following: measurement, venting, flaring, data collection/reporting, water use/recycling, well/pad placement, and gas/bitumen

15 Bonnyville uture lans Based on current oil production and remaining recoverable oil, there are no major activities planned for the area, and no major plans that will require applications to the EB Eventually when these wells become uneconomical for aylight, the wells will be abandoned. ntil then, there will be no changes in the heavy oil scheme
