2 ISO Certified Company I. Introduction: AFHT Hydraulic Tester, researched and produced by Accurate Flowmeters & Instrumentation Pvt. Ltd., is a kind of practical and new type product with patent. In the hydraulic loop system, the acquisition of breakpoints data and the measurement of flow rate, pressure and temperature of the system and components are monitored simultaneously. Through the data acquired AFHT Tester evaluates the performance of the system and components and judges the faults. It is widely used in testing and diagnosing for Hydraulic Pump, Hydraulic Motor and Hydraulic valve. 1. Instrument Feature: AFHT-1 Series Hydraulic Tester Feature: a. Easy operation Flow rate, pressure and temperature can be tested simultaneously at one point. Pressure valve adjusts with light power, and the loading is smooth and quickly, accurate. To ensure the accuracy of measurement, the temperature should be kept within ± 3 degrees. Low pressure gauge by pressure-measuring line can measure controlling system s pressure. h. 3 2. Note Loading Valve a. Before starting the equipment, loading must be unscrewed (left screwing to the end). Otherwise, danger easy arises.. b. Near the loading valve is high-pressure oil inlet, the other is outlet. Loading will not be realized if the inlet and outlet are connected at wrong position. c. Please shut off the power when the instrument not in use d. This instrument is connected in series with the equipment system tested, and there should be no pressure in the oil outlet. Otherwise, the loading valve cannot screw. e. When installing the oil inlet and oil outlet mouths joint, make sure you use the spanner to position the six-party joint of cabinet, and then connect to the fittings body. Oil outlet, Oil inlet, Upper Display Screen (Display the instantaneous flow), Loading valve, Under Display Screen (Fluid temperature), Coefficient Modifying keys of testing gauges should not adjust rashly. 3. Components of instrumentation: AFHT Portable Hydraulic Tester consists of the testing system and data system. The testing system includes Simulation Loading Valve, Pressure Meter, Flow Meter and Temperature Meter. Different physical parameters of the hydraulic system are converted into electric parameters and sent to the data processing system. The data processing system consists of Single chip, Display, Touch Switch, Rechargeable Lithium Battery, Power Switch etc. After the electrical signal sent from the testing system is processed, the results will be displayed on the display. 4. 4 ISO Certified Company II. AFHT series hydraulic pressure tester use and maintenance: This section is only general instruction. Relevant information provided by the manufacturer must be referred and specific systems such as Variable Pump or Motor or Serve Control Valve have specific test program. 1. Installation and use When AFHT - 1 Hydraulic Tester is installed at any position of hydraulic pipe, the hydraulic oil always flows from near the loading valves to the other end. If reverse connect arises, no pressure will be formed. In order to obtain the accurate measurements, the oil inlet and oil outlet of the tester keep away above 30cm away from the elbow, tee, valve. Note: The loading valve must be unscrewed counterclockwise before start-up of the equipment. It will cause human injury or equipment damage if the loading valve is fully closed!!!!!! Once the tester accessed with oil pipeline, the pressure will be regulated by Loading Valve. a) Frigid climate will influence on the accuracy of measurement, so oil should be cycled some time before test. Until the temperature goes up to 30ºC the test shall be conducted. After the completion of test, power switch should be turned off. b) Open Pressure Loading Valve on test!!! 2. Maintenance instructions In the design, AFHT Series Hydraulic Pressure Tester is a device that can be used for many years and with less trouble, If trouble arises after the quality guarantee period, it is available to do some simple inspection. 3. Loading Valve If the Loading Valve can't load the system, remove the alve spool and check if there are impurities on it or worn-out parts or or damages on seal ring.

5 4. Battery The batteries for the meters are 12V lithium battery. Charge 4-8 hours before the tester work, and the battery can be used for 30 hours. It is necessary to charge the batteries with supporting charger, otherwise, explosion danger will easily arise. 5. Flow Meter When the Flow Meter doesn't display the reading, it is possible that the turbine rotor is stuck. Take turbine sensors apart and remove the impurities prevent of the turbine from flexibly rotating. After refitted, check the flow readings. If the Flow Meter still not display any reading, please contact the manufacturer. 6. Prompt for testing the Servo Control Pump, Motor and valve. Special test procedure should have detailed regulations. It is necessary to learn the instructions from the relevant manufacturer of hydraulic equipment and hydraulic components. These components are with functions of increasing flow or pressure, and the design has fixed control mode such as push-pull servo control of the discharge of variable pump. It will cause the sharp rise of flow and pressure if try to use manual control instead of servo control. This kind of control-losing test may lead to system s failure, or components damage or human injury. 7. Testing Program a. Testing conditions: Before the installation of this tester, oil-supplying situation of the hydraulic system, oil pump rotation rate, oil pipeline and Cylinder Piston Rod and oil leakage should be first checked. Test method: There are many testing methods by using hydraulic pressure tester; the specific application can be conducted according to the specific circumstances. But remember one point: understand the system graph and be sure no jam in the pipeline. During using the tester, the simplest and the most effective test method is: Serial Test Example 1: Hydraulic pump (power components) test: 1) The tester can be installed between the oil inlet and oil return tank. Make sure the oil wholly pass the tester. 2) Fully open the loading valve, read the maximum flow when pressure is "0". 3) By loading valve raise the oil pressure. Record the flow rate from 0 to specified value or maximum value in order to determine the technical condition of the pump. 4) Now refer the specifications of the hydraulic pump manufactory

Example 2: Hydraulic Valve (Control Components) Test: 1) Valve's test is divided into two parts (here the reversing valve and overflow valve is integrative). First test the overflow valve, then the reversing valve. And the reversing valve shall be measured separately for each group. 2) Other Hydraulic Pump Test.
