3 Measuring up to Pressure cd Druck silicon transducer technology provides highly accurate and reliable pressure measurement, proven for over 25 years in research and industrial applications worldwide. Silicon technology has a high profile and, despite the proliferation of silicon sensors designed by many other companies, Druck s technology continues to lead the world. Today, Druck has one of the most advanced and comprehensive silicon processing facilities and is one of only a few companies in the world turning raw silicon into finished products employing techniques including micromachining. 4 Engine and Powertrain Test From the testing of new lubricants through to the development of high performance racing engines and powertrains, demands placed upon modern test stands constantly increase. A comprehensive range of Druck pressure transducers and calibration instruments offer an ideal platform for these applications. The modular design of Druck transducers allows for complete measurement capability from oil and fuel to turbo inlet and exhaust pressures, from gearbox oil to clutch assembly, with a range of products available on core stock delivery. Engine Coolant and Lubricant High performance measurement is achieved by the PTX 600 series of 4-20 ma transmitters. Pressure transducers measure ranges from just fractions of a millibar with millivolt, voltage, current and digital (including CANbus) output formats. High performance enables precision testing to be achieved within the test stand environment. A wide range of pressure indicators, calibrators and primary standard testers ensure that the performance and accuracy of all measurement parameters can be quickly verified, minimising test stand down time. Engine Fuel A new CANbus output sensor allows critical parameter measurement with the highest accuracy. A selection of Druck products specific to test stands are shown. 6 On-Vehicle Test Meeting the demands for next generation vehicles requires optimum measurement performance, especially when testing out in the field. From the heat of the desert to the cold of the tundra, Druck has a range of rugged pressure transducers which withstand the challenges of severe operating environments. For endurance testing on test stands and proving grounds, pressure transducers may be required for measurement of engine oil, water and fuel, air conditioning or brakes. Engine Oil, Fuel and Water The PMP 317 is purpose designed to withstand the rigours of engine parameter monitoring. Purpose-designed and available in a range of output formats, Druck transducers can be configured to meet specific requirements, delivering proven high performance even at the widest extremes of temperature. Portable test instruments allow for convenient on-site calibration of pressure transducers, tyre pressure measurement and local barometric pressure changes. Air Conditioning In differential format, the PMP 317 accurately measures AC performance when testing on the proving ground. 8 Motorsport Success in motorsport depends upon driver ability, car reliability and performance, team support and management. No less important is the right selection of pressure transducers and trackside test equipment. Performance critical on-car measurements range from engine oil, fuel, and water, to air/fuel mixture and monitoring of hydraulic system and brake pressures. Advanced silicon sensor technology has resulted in millivolt and voltage output transducers of small size and light weight design with precision accuracy at high temperatures which at the same time withstand the high acceleration and shock loadings experienced in motorsport. Engine Oil, Fuel and Water The small size of the PMP 318 series allows for direct engine mounting in high temperature regions. Druck calibration equipment allows for rapid trackside or workshop based verification of all on-car pressure/electrical parameters and local barometric pressure. 10 Component and System Test First and second tier suppliers of components and systems to the automotive industry experience the same high standard of test requirements as the major automobile manufacturers. Whether pressure is measured on test stands for precision systems research, or within a production environment for ECU s, heat exchangers, oil and fuel pumps the complete range of Druck pressure transducers meets a broad range of requirements. Suspension System The PDCR 4000 series is available in customer specified formats of pressure range, electrical and pressure interfaces. From a low cost solution required for production test to the high accuracy demands of research measurement, both standard and custom designed products are available with a range of outputs and pressure/electrical interfaces. Automated pressure controller/calibrators can be configured for either in-cell calibration or alternatively, rack mounted for high speed component and system testing. In addition, a range of primary standard testers, maintain compliance with the most stringent corporate and international quality requirements.
