6 M.E.C. V-Belt The modern M.E.C. V-BELT OIL STAT V-belts produced by A Zeta Goa stand out thanks to their excellent resistance and the high level of transmissible power. If we compare them to the famous flat belt, the level of adherence is tripled thanks to contact only being established along the tilted sides of the pulley races ensuring improved adherence. All M.E.C. V-BELT belts also feature OIL STAT. This means they are resistant to the action of oil and heat, they are electro-conductive, thus ensuring the electrostatic charges are deflected properly, and they are ISO 9000-compliant. Produced with last generation technology and subjected to stringent checks and tests, the M.E.C. V-BELT belts can be supplied upon request in customised lengths of up to 22,000 which are not present in our catalogue.

This means they are resistant to the action of oil and heat, they are electro-conductive and as a result, allow safe deflection of the electrostatic charges and are also ISO 9000-compliant. 9 CONVENTIONAL M.E.C. V-BELT OIL STAT BELTS The use of special, resistant, polyester inserts and special manufacturing procedures allows us to produce CONVENTIONAL M.E.C. 16 M.E.C. PERFORBELT OIL STAT V-BELTS These are perforated belts, open-ended and are also oil and heat resistant. They are suitable for demanding or emergency applications. V-BELT OIL STAT Z-A-B-C-FTDbelts with notched raw edges, conventional sections according to RMA and DIN standard The Z-A-B-C-FTD belts are especially suited to heavy-duty conditions and those with technical limits. N.B.: The Conventional M.E.C. V-BELT OIL STAT Z-A-B-C FTD V-belts (with notched raw edges) are the result of a highly advanced production system using blends of high quality rubber. The lighter weight of the belt reduces the centrifugal force, thereby providing greater speed; the forged notches afford greater flexibility and consequently a higher frequency of flexures and faster heat dispersion (resistant to temperatures from -30 to + 80 ). TIMING BELT DD synchronous belts are made double-sided for the simultaneous meshing of notched pulleys along the outside and inside of the belts. This means that just one belt is needed to transmit movement to a series of pulleys, as well as making it possible to invert movement between the outside and inside pulleys without altering the gear ratio. 58 M.E.C. SYNCHRONOUS TIMING BELT HTD for industrial transmissions HTD stands for High Torque Drive. The synchronous HTD belts are characterised by a new profile (rounded notched) which makes it possible to transmit more power with the same pitch as traditional synchronous notched belts. Furthermore, other advantages include the reduction of noise and interference, increased resistance against the notch being skipped and shearing stress, precise angular transmission and constant speed up to 50 mt/sec., low tensioning, excellent reliability, compact dimensions and moderate maintenance. STD MEANS SUITABLE FOR EXTREMELY HIGH TORQUE MOMENTS In addition to the advantage above indicated for HTD belts the following advantages are added: A) longer life thanks to the new profile edge and to a higher quality of the material used for the belt manufacture. As well as the excellent fatigue resistance and wear resistance, and the high friction factor, polyurethane also ensures excellent resistance to ozone, oxidation, heat and mineral oils. Polyurethane also allows adhesion on the strands to be improved as the belt is obtained by pressure die casting. The special ribbing The typical ribbing obtained by melting on the strands in polyamide ensures a higher transverse stiffness, without reducing the longitudinal bending capacity. The ribbing also helps heat dissipation of the belts during operation. The section and the angle The high friction factor given by the polyurethane, enables this belt to adopt the angle of 60. This typical angle allows better support of the strands in polyamide for traction and higher and more stable tension. This allows more power to be transmitted with smaller sections. NOTE: MEC BELT POLIFLEXOSIL MULTIPLE belts can also be supplied: we do not recoend however, using more than three elements. 88

95 M.E.C. PROFILBELT OIL STAT BELTS with rubber backing The M.E.C. PROFILBELT OIL STAT belts are used for transporting material over horizontal, slanted or vertical surfaces. The covering is hot vulcanized onto the V-belt and must have an optimum dragging coefficient for the material transported. The M.E.C. PROFILBELT OIL STAT belts can be supplied in rolls or endless with the rubber surface available with different profiles, qualities, colours and hardness. They are used in sectors where wood is worked, cement industries, in glassworks, the canning industry, the fishing industry, paper mills, body repair shops, in agricultural machinery, transport of packaging and ceramic industry.
