OFFSET 2 DISC CLOSE OFFSET 1 OPEN THE DOUBLE ECCENTRIC DESIGN PRICIPLE It effects friction-free contact between body and seat because the rotation axis (stem) of the valve disc has a double offset from the center equal to dimensions of A and B (See sketch). Because of the double offset a cam effect is Center of disc rotation Center of valve body produced which prevents wear of the seal surface, decreases seating torque and offers longer service life and easy operation.

Quality assurance system Alfa butterfly valves are designed and manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001/EN and module H of the European legislation for Pressure Equipment Directive. 2. Type approvals Alfa butterfly valves are approved for applications in a number of market areas by international classifications societies. The most important ones are listed in the following table. Testing inspection certificates All valves are pressure and functional tested after assembly according to internal quality procedures which comply with international standards.
