No unpleasant odours No unsightly discolouration No chance for bacteria Very easy to clean The KANJO SilverLine marked DIETZ s market launch of a completely new product, developed in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology ICT. The result: SilverLine Technology. Its unusual features include, in particular, the iovative surface and material structure featuring water-repellent attributes thanks to nanotechnology akin to the lotus effect and containing silver ions with antibacterial properties. This enormously facilitates daily hygiene, creates signifi cantly greater quality of life and protects the right to dignity and respect in the private sphere. Plastic with nano technology. The admixture of additives during the manufacturing process creates a water-repellent surface. Dirt particles remain in the water and no longer adhere to the product surface. They are washed away with the water droplets. This phenomenon was fi rst observed on the leaves of the lotus fl ower and has since been known as the lotus effect. Antibacterial material. Using advanced additive technology, the Fraunhofer Institute was able to embed silver particles in the plastic material. The silver releases ions on contact with water, reliably killing 99.9 per cent of all common germs and pathogens. This enables the patented material to avoid infections while at the same time preventing odours and discolouration. Made in Germany entirely. The KANJO SilverLine bath lift was not just developed at the Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology near Karlsruhe; the entire production process from component fabrication to assembly takes place in Germany as well.
