First I would like to introduce Grizzly Manufacturing to you. Grizzly Manufacturing was founded by W.F. Messer Sr. in While in the fabrication and construction business in the 70 s he had manufactured sprockets to fill his job needs. After several years of experience, he decided to form a separate stand alone business dedicated to building sprockets. He has always insisted on using the best materials for building sprockets, a practice we still use today to insure the highest quality American made sprocket for the customer s dollar. Over the years Grizzly has grown to over 50,000sq foot manufacturing facility on 10 acres, utilizing the latest in CNC machinery, mixed with years of experience. To introduce myself, I am Guy Messer, the son of Mr. Messer, and currently general manager of Grizzly Mfg. I had my first experience building sprockets as a young boy; painting and packaging them for shipping. Through my teens I worked in every stage of building sprockets. After attending Troy State University, I returned to the family business where I sold sprockets in the field to many different industries. This allowed me to gain hands on experience of various applications and the needs of the customers. This experience taught me just how important a quality product and on time delivery is to the customer. In 2005 I moved from field sales to general manager, where I use this experience to drive me every day to deliver on time, a quality sprockets to my customers. In addition, we can even manufacture sprockets based only on chain dimensions. * Consistent Quality - Our Sprockets profile is generated by computer and loaded directly to our LINATROL cutting controls. Each sprocket is measured for accuracy to insure consistent quality. This results in a proper chain/ sprocket fit each and every time our sprocket is installed. Experience- Grizzly Manufacturing has been making all American flame cut sprockets since Grizzly Manufacturing has continually trained our employees to maintain a high standard of sprockets. As technology has improved we have upgraded our machinery to stay on the cutting edge of the sprocket industry. * Extended Life Material- Grizzly Sprockets uses American made C Carbon Steel Plate. All Grizzly sprockets come standard flame hardened with an average 45-50Rc ( Brunel). Sprockets can be made from other materials upon request. *Precision With our state-of-the-art manufacturing process, tolerance are consistently closer than those on cast sprockets and equal or better than competitive flame cut sprockets. To ensure precision, quality control checks have been installed at six steps of the manufacturing process. * Availability Normal Delivery on all standard sprockets is one to two weeks. Specials may vary per quote. Expedited sprockets available with same day shipping. The Grizzly Advantage will result in extra profit dollars for the ultimate consumer through longer product life, with ease of availability and consistent quality. 4

5 When ordering Engineering Class Sprockets Please specify the following: 1. QUANTITY- Number of Sprockets required. 2. CHAIN- Specify the number and type of chain to be used. The number of your chain can normally be found on the sidebar or barrel. NUMBER OF TEETH- Any number of teeth are available on all Grizzly Sprockets. When ordering double-duty, hunting or skip tooth sprockets, please Specify the effective number of teeth. CONSTRUCTION- Standard, split or segmental construction should be specified. TYPE- Standard, hunting tooth, double-duty, chain saver, skip tooth, etc. BORE- Please specify the exact diameter of the shaft. HUB Please specify type (A, B, C, D, QD, Taper-Lock or SHEARPIN) KEYSEATS AND SETCREWS- Standard pricing will include one keyway and two setscrews or one key and one setscrew. 3. NUMBER OF TEETH 4. LTB 1. One way is to multiply the number of teeth times chain pitch, then divide by pie. 2. On an odd number of teeth sprocket measure across sprocket from root to tooth across the sprocket and that will give you a close measurement of pitch diameter. 3. On an even number of teeth sprocket measure from center of tooth to center of tooth across the sprocket, and that will give you a close measurement of pitch diameter. HOW DO YOU MESURE LTB (LENGTH THROUGH BORE)? 1. Measure inside the hub, from one end to the other 2. Or measure the plate thickness of the sprocket, measure from the edge of the hub to the plate (both sides if applicable) then add the measurements together to get your LTB HOW DO YOU MESURE PITCH OF SPROCKET? 1. The best way is to refer to chain spec. sheet. 2. But if you measure from center of one tooth to the center of the next tooth, you will have the approximate pitch of the sprocket. 5

Wide Tooth Drums: Grizzly s Wide Tooth Drum Sprocket offers a solid full width tooth, the tooth is machine cut from 1045 steel, welded to the drum. 2. Plate Style Drums: Grizzly Plate Style Drum Sprocket offers a pair of flame cut, Hand matched machined plates, welded to the drum. Both Sprockets are available as Splits, Multi-Strand, Flanged, or mounted on a shaft, Along with Bronze-Bushed and all types of Taper bore bushings. 10

33 Warranty: We warrant that each of our products of manufacture will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. We will correct any such defects in material or workmanship under normal use and service. We will correct any such defects in material or workmanship by repair or replacement of the product F.O.B our plant. Charges for correcting defects will not be allowed, nor can we accept goods returned to us for repair or replacement, unless we are previously notified of the defect in writing. The foregoing warranty is expressly in lieu of any and all representations and warranties, expressed or implied, including any implied warranty or merchantability of fitness for a particular purpose, whether arising from stature, common law, custom or otherwise. The remedy of repair or replacement of the defective products set foregoing warranty shall be the exclusive remedy available to any person. No person has the authority to bind us to any representation or warranty other than this disclaimer and the foregoing warranty. Cancellation or Suspension: Cancellation or suspension of manufacturing or shipping date of any order will be accepted only on terms which will indemnify us against loss.
