1 NSULATNG FLANGES Type F - RMA insulating flange sets are rigid flange connections with electrical isolation for pipelines. - The standard versions of RMA insulating flange sets are pre-assembled at the factory and tested for dielectric strength. Works pressure tests are not conducted. - For welding into the pipeline system, they must be dismantled in order to protect insulating sections and seals against damage which could result from heat when welding. - nsulating flange sets with welded-on pipe ends on both sides (i.e. ready-assembled for welding into the pipeline without dismantling) are also available. Works pressure tests may be conducted on this version if required. - Each bolted connection must be checked and, if necessary, retightened by the customer prior to commencement of operation. - The type of seal, either flat-gasket or O-ring seal, in addition to the type of bolt, i.e. conventional hexagon bolt or neck down bolts, will be stipulated by us, depending upon the applicational limit values and the requirement data as a function of the diameter and pressure rating.
