5 Thank you for your entry. Procedure at start 1. Please report to noise check at 19:30 plus your start number (Grid reference 119/ , see diagram later in Final Instructions). Noise closes at 21:20. Please be very quiet through Buxton. You will be given a Process Card at noise. 2. Proceed to scrutineering at Flowflex (grid reference 119/ ) using the attached diagrams. Note that scrutineering will close at 21: Park as directed by the car park marshals. 4. Any competitor not signed on 90 minutes before their due start time at m1 may be excluded. Signing-on closes at 21: Attend the competitors briefing at 22:10 in the Marshal signing on area. 6. Your due start time (23:00 plus your start number). Scrutineering notes 1. MOT certificates and DVLC V5 documents will be checked at scrutineering. 2. Red warning triangles are required to be carried throughout this event and used appropriately. 3. A small spill kit as per J must be carried by each car. 4. Please ensure that your car is fully ready for scrutineering before joining the queue. No remedial work will be allowed within the scrutineering area and if you fail you will be required to rejoin at the back of the queue for any re-test. Other information 1. It is our intention to man as many passage controls as possible however our ability to do so depends on the number of marshals available. In the event of there being inadequate marshals, then some passage controls will be replaced by code boards and will be deemed to be route checks notwithstanding their description on the time card, or road book. Competitors shall be required to record the full details of any such code board in the column marked CODE on their time card, and get these signed for at the next manned control. Where a passage check is manned the marshal will write a unique code in the CODE column on your time card and initial it. 2. Please note that sections ending at a neutral, or transport time control are all designated as Quiet sections and the use of spot lights is prohibited on these sections. Specific details are given in the route handout. If we want you to dip your lights we will issue an instruction Dip either in the route handout and/or on a board. 3. Force Majeure notwithstanding the Clerk of the Course reserves the right to cancel any section, or the penalties at a control or check, should he deem it fair to do so, however our view is that this is a road rally and you are expected to attempt to reach every control and check possible in the time allowed. If it is not possible to reach a particular control or check in the correct direction you should still make every effort to visit all other controls or checks where it is possible to do so. Don t assume that a whole section will be cancelled due to a problem at one control or check. (Force Majeure means that penalties at a control or check will be cancelled if over half of the competitors were unable to reach that control or check). 4. No vehicle which is in breach of the technical regulations for National B Road Rallies will be allowed to start. 5. Please refer below for details of control names and abbreviations to be used on the event. 6. The organisers reserve the right to accept entries received after the closing date, and to readjust the competitor numbers to accommodate such entries as necessary. Page 5 of 10

6 Your attention is drawn to the following regulations and interpretations R11.4 At a manned passage check a competitor must have the marshal s code and signature recorded. This does not prevent the marshal recording a Wrong Direction and awarding a penalty in accordance with R13(c). i.e. wrong direction through, or incorrect completion of route within, a passage check area will incur a penalty. R15.1 Competitors must visit ALL MAIN TIME CONTROLS within maximum lateness to be classed as a finisher. Damage to Third Party Property You are reminded of Section 170 of the Road Traffic Act Rule 286 of the Highway code i.e. Any injury incidents must be reported to the Police Authority. This must also be reported to the Organisers on your Damage Declaration Form. Amend regulations as follows: SR3 MSA permit number is SR6 Route instructions will be issued at various locations along the route, the map book will be issued at the start. This event will include Special Tests, penalties from which will be included in the overall results. SR7 Classes: This is relevant to the role in which you competed previously only i.e. Driver as Driver and Navigator as Navigator - for example, should you change roles and the other crew member not finished in the top 10 then you will be classed as a Novice. SR12 Where a competitor leaves a control before the time stated on the time card (a jump start) a penalty of 5 minutes will be applied. Any competitor found to be intentionally blocking the route, or preventing other competitors from reaching a control or check, shall be penalised by exclusion. SR14 Fuel is available, before the start, at either of the following petrol stations: 119/ (Tesco Express Buxton), 119/ (Morrisons Buxton), 110/ (Tesco Whaley Bridge). Petrol will be available after approx. 60 miles in Buxton. Page 6 of 10
