Multi-club event SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS To be read in conjunction with 2016 Qld Off-Road drivers series regulations and the CAMS manual general requirements, general & specific requirements for Off Road vehicles. TITLE AND NATURE OF THE EVENT The event will be known as the Kalbarrie Short Course and will be conducted on Private property at Stanthorpe in Queensland on Saturday 5th November and Sunday 6th November The event will be a round of the Queensland Off-Road Drivers Series. The course is approximately 8km in length. The total event duration is at the organizers discretion. AUTHORITY AND PERMIT The event will be held under the International Sporting Code of the Federation Internationale de l Automobile (FIA), the National Competition Rules of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Limited (CAMS), the Off Road Standing Regulations, these Supplementary Regulations and any Further Regulations or instructions which may be issued. 2 ENTRY DETAILS Entries open on 1st October The entry fee is $ if received before 6pm on Monday 30th November 2016, after this date entry fee is $ and closes at 9:15am on 5 th November Entries limited to 40 entries. The entry fee provides for the driver, co-driver/navigator/s and crew members nominated on the entry form. Vehicles may be double entered. The second driver (only) must display a red marker 50x50mm attached to roof number. Entries may be refused in accordance with NCR 83 of the current CAMS Manual. All entries must be made on the official entry form and accompanied by the appropriate fee. Any entries not accompanied by the entry fee will not be accepted. Direct deposits-confirmation must accompany entry form. Original entry forms must be presented prior to scrutiny. The Event Secretary, must receive withdrawal of entries, by written advice no later than 6.00pm 3rd November The driver may be changed provided the Event Secretary receives this advice no later than one hour prior to the start of the event; such change will be subject to the approval of the Stewards of the Meeting. SCRUTINY The following items must be presented to the Event Secretary prior to being scrutinized: * CAMS competition license/cams Pass Book * Current CAMS-affiliated car club membership card * CAMS vehicle logbook Third Party Extension Certificate All competing vehicles carrying civil registration in Queensland require a third party extension certificate or letter (CTP) stating the full title of the event, location and date. Vehicles must be scrutinized prior to competing in the event. All vehicles must have passed triennial inspection. Competitors must present their vehicle, helmet(s), and racing apparel to the Scrutineers. Additional scrutineering may be available by prior arrangement with the chief scrutineer

3 Vehicle log books may be held by the Chief Scrutineer until the completion of the event. STARTING ORDER Starting order will be determined by prologue. EVENT DETAILs Saturday Sign on and Scrutineering Close of scrutineering. Race vehicles to be lined up at start prior to drivers briefing for reconnaissance Compulsory drivers briefing. Posting of prologue order Prologue reconnaissance competition vehicles only Reconnaissance start closes Prologue start Reconnaissance of main track at completion of prologue competition vehicles only. Double entered competitors only may use a registered 4WD Reconnaissance start closes 10 minutes after first car leaves. Start order posted Cars to line up for section Start of racing Section 1: 3 laps. May be broken into heats. Shout out. Drivers briefing. To be run on the prologue track. Sunday Posting of starting order Compulsory drivers briefing Section 2: May be broken into Heats. 4 continuous laps. Section 3: May be broken into Heats. 3 continuous laps.. Vehicles may be started 1 at a time. There may be a break between each section to allow for track clearing and repair.

4 Shoot out. 2 cars on the track at the same time (1 car at the start line and other car at approx. halftrack). Cars will start using a handicap from times taken at prologue with the slower car staring first using the time difference to start the second car, the first to complete 2 laps will continue to the next round. If a car catches the other car it will be the winner of that run (no overtaking). A breakout time will be allowed for car times in prologue if a car exceeds prologue time + 5 seconds it will be out. If both cars breakout the first car to do so will be out. Drivers will have the opportunity to ask for their time to be altered before the start (time may only be adjusted to a lesser time-faster). The shoot-out is not part of the QLD series. OBSERVED LICENCE TEST Please make notification on your entry form if required, you must have completed and passed your lecture and have all of the relevant paperwork with you. PASSAGE CONTROL PROCEEDURES At each passage control competitors DO NOT STOP but car numbers will be noted. It is the responsibility of the competitor to report to the start control at their due start time. COURSE MARKINGS Will be in accordance with the current CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. LICENCE REQUIREMENTS Hold currant cams license NO, NON, NOJ or NONJ. CLASSES AND CATEGORIES Refer to section 12 of CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. PENALTIES - per occurrence * Jumping the start: - 5 minutes. * Failure to comply with a specified control procedure: - 30 minutes. * Shortcutting or other deviation from the course: - 1st breach 30 minutes 2nd breach exclusion. * Travelling on the course in the wrong direction: - 60 minutes plus any additional penalty as deemed appropriate by the stewards. * Competitors deemed to be driving dangerously within the pit area and the various entries and exits or damaging property- penalty as deemed appropriate by the stewards. * Failure to refuel or do hot work in the designated areas: - exclusion. * Failure to follow direction from an official or marshal may render a competitor liable for exclusion. * Failure to pass through passage control 30 minutes. * Failure to report at main time control exclusion. * Other breaches penalties at the director s discretion up to 100 minutes. Note: Under provision of NCR 192, the stewards of the event only may impose a penalty of exclusion. JUDGES OF FACT

5 Timing officials, start officials and course officials will be appointed Judges of Fact, and as such, their decisions cannot be the subject of a protest. Facts to be judged are:- Refuelling, Driving, Conduct, Noise, Emission Levels, Jumping the Start, Failure to obey, Flag Signals and Failure to obey directions of an official, Deviation from track. REFUELLING Refuelling must only be undertaken with the vehicle stationary, the engine switched off and with competitors and crew out of the vehicle, and as detailed in the Off Road Standing Regulation 4.6. * Competitors need to note the attire requirements for any person involved in refuelling the vehicle. * While refuelling there must be a crewmember suitably clothed standing by with a fire extinguisher. HOT WORK AREA A hot work area has been allocated exclusively for welding, grinding and other similar hazardous activities. These activities can only be done in the designated area during competition. PROTESTS To be lodged in accordance with part XII of the NCR s.. AWARDS 1st, 2nd and 3rd Outright Driver 1st, 2nd and 3rd Class Driver Additional awards or trophies may be awarded at the discretion of the promoter. GENERAL * A speed limit of 10km/h must be observed on the property at all times whilst not competing or doing reconnaissance - Penalty as deemed appropriate by the stewards. * No persons other than the officials, recovery, accredited media or competitors will be permitted on the course, except with the written permission of the Event Director. * The event organizers will provide recovery throughout the event. * All children must be subject to parent/guardian supervision during the event. * The entry form and disclaimers are part of these supplementary regulations. * Dogs are not permitted unless with prior arrangement. To be kept on leads at all times. All generators to be turned off from 10pm am except by arrangement * Event organizers reserve the right to abandon, cancel or postpone the event in accordance with NCR 59 of the currant CAMS manual.

6 ALCOHOL, DRUGS AND OTHER SUBSTANCES Any holder of a CAMS Competition or Officials licence (or equivalent licence issued by another ASN) may be tested for the presence of drugs (or other banned substances) and subject to a penalty (ies) for a breach in accordance with the CAMS Anti-Doping Policy and/or the CAMS Illicit Drugs in Sport (Safety Testing) Policy as published on the CAMS website. Consumption of alcohol in the paddock, pits or any section of the competition venue/course under the control of the Officials is forbidden until all competition is concluded each day. Accordingly, any holder of a CAMS Competition or Officials licence (or equivalent licence issued by another ASN) may also be tested for the presence of alcohol by a CAMS Accredited Testing Official (CATO) in accordance with the CAMS Standard Operating Procedure for Breath Alcohol Testing. CAMPING. Camping is available at the track. RUBBISH All competitors and supporters are responsible for the containment and removal of their rubbish during and at the completion of the event. DIRECTIONS Follow the Stanthorpe Texas Rd. Turn into Nundubbermere Rd at Broadwater Follow for 15km.Track is on the Right.. Presentation at the completion of competition.
