2 JOKAB Knox Knox is a bistable robust interlock with motordrive mechanism for safety and process issues. It fulfils the requirements for PLe according to EN ISO It has 3 different operating modes: Open, close and reset. In open or close position it works like a normal door lock. If the door handle will be moved up a reset is activated and the machine can be started. As long as the machine is in process the interlock can not be opened. Before the handle can be moved down the system has to be unlocked. An opening of the door from inside position is possible at any time. Christian Heller & Andreas Scheer 2

4 JOKAB Knox Knox is a proprietary system it works only with Jokab Pluto or Jokab Vita. To lock or unlock the polarity of the motor must reversed. A B-version like we have for AZM 200 and MZM 100 is not available. The use of shielded cables is required. For the emergency handle a hole of 45mm 60 mm must bored into the door. 7 PILZ PSEN gate Safety guard system PSENsgate with safety door monitoring and safety locking monitoring. Optionally with illuminated push buttons and E-Stop. An emergency release is standard. The device meets the requirements of PLe / Sil 3 accordint to EN ISO / EN Serial wiring with other Pilz sensors without downgrading the PL/SIL is possible. The PSEN gate has an actuator-break and locking bolt-break detection. The solenoid can be activated by one-channel or twochannel. The locking force is up to 2000 N. 11 PILZ PSENslock If the safety outputs have been shut down by either of the inputs S11 or S21, they cannot be switched back on until both inputs are low simultaneously. Safety inputs S11 and S21 are monitored for plausibility. Both inputs must switch off and on together (partial operation lock). The holding force of the locking magnet is tested on power-up. The safety outputs switch to a high state once the minimum holding force is achieved. If the safety gate is in a locked condition and is opened by force, the safety outputs will shut down.
