2 hooks The ignition must be turned OFF before installation. These instructions can be used on either the S4 or S4R. The air box does NOT need to be removed on the S4R. Refer to page 4 for the S4R. 1 Remove the seat. 2 Prop the fuel tank in the upright position. 3 Disconnect the two hooks on either side of the air box lid and remove the air box lid as shown in Figure A. Unscrew the bolts on either side of the rear of the air box or just lift up to remove the air box. 4 Disconnect the two hoses going to the air box. 5 Remove the velocity stacks by turning them counter-clockwise and lifting up as shown in Figure B. Figure B Figure A 6 Remove the bolt on the underside of the air box as shown in Figure C. 7 The air box can now be moved out of the way. 3 unplug these 8 Unplug the stock from the injectors as shown in Figure D. Release the spring clips to remove each. Note: Do not discard the spring clips. Note: Do not mix up the stock front and rear. Figure D PCIII USB EX 9 Attach the from the PCIII USB EX to the stock as shown in Figure E. Connect the orange wires to the front cylinder. Connect the yellow wires to the rear cylinder. Reinstall the spring clips. 4 Figure G 12 Install the PCIII USB EX on top of the battery as shown in Figure G. Make sure to clean both surfaces with the alcohol swab before attaching. 13 Attach the ground wire from the PCIII USB EX to the negative side of the battery as shown in Figure G. unplug these USE THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE S4R MODEL ONLY 1 Disconnect the stock wiring harness from the throttle bodies as shown in Figure H. Note: Do not mix up the stock front and rear. 6 Figure M ground wire 6 Install the PCIII USB EX on top of the battery as shown in Figure M. 7 Attach the ground wire from the PCIII USB EX to the negative side of the battery as shown in Figure M. 8 Insert the cd provided into your computer s cd-rom drive. 9 Follow the on-screen instructions to install the PCIII USB EX software.
