2 Achieving our Blueprint for Sustainability. By 203, we will triple our production capacity for electrified vehicles in North America compared to 20. This includes hybrids, plug-in hybrids and pure battery electric vehicles, with most sales coming from hybrid electric vehicles. This is part of the Ford strategy to offer customers a number of powertrain options both conventional gasoline technologies and electrified options within existing vehicle lines. We call this the power of choice, and it s an important part of our vision to further evolve our fleet and our company. In 202, we were recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for our efforts to reduce CO2 at our manufacturing facilities. Our plan sets us on a course to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30 percent per vehicle manufactured between 200 and 2025 on top of the more than 30 percent reduction we achieved from 2000 to 200. Whatever challenges we face in the future, sustainability will remain a central element of our business strategy. By taking a long-term view and working to add value for all of our stakeholders, current and future, we have been successful in extremely difficult conditions. 4 All-electric Our all-new Ford Focus Electric runs completely by rechargeable battery power and doesn t use a single drop of gasoline. Featuring an advanced electric motor paired with a unique lithium-ion battery pack, it s rated the most fuel-efficient compact car in America, and its top speed can reach up to 84 mph. Charging is as easy as plugging into either a 20V or 240V 2 outlet and is made even better with an incredibly fast 4-hour full charging time. 3 Since Focus Electric has fewer moving mechanical parts than gas-powered vehicles, scheduled maintenance is nearly eliminated. 5 Plug-in Hybrid Our all-new Fusion Energi and C-MAX Energi 2 operate like standard hybrids with the added benefits of an external charge port and a larger lithium-ion battery pack: this technology team-up helps ensure 00% electric performance at higher-capacity speeds for an extended range. 3 In most situations, they operate in pure electric mode until battery power is nearly depleted, then there s a smooth switch to the gas engine. When parked, the battery pack is charged using a standard 20V wall outlet or a 240V outlet. 4 Versus conventional hybrids and gas vehicles, significant savings can be achieved simply by choosing to plug in and fully charge up overnight during off-peak times. 6 Hybrid Our all-new, 3rd-generation hybrid electric vehicles are powered partly by a gasoline engine, and partly by an electric motor with a high-voltage lithium-ion battery pack. They use available electric-only power at low to moderate acceleration (up to 62 mph), switching seamlessly to the gas engine for additional power when needed. The Regenerative Braking System can capture over 90% of the energy normally lost through friction converting it to help charge the battery pack while in motion. Ford hybrids can deliver significant efficiency and emissions improvements when compared to conventional vehicles. Ford Fusion Hybrid Ford C-MAX Hybrid Coming Fall 202.

7 Innovative EcoBoost technology available on cars, trucks and utilities. This year, it s offered on a total of 8 nameplates from Ford. EcoBoost combines direct injection with either twin-turbocharged V6 or single-turbocharged I-4 engine configurations. An EcoBoost 3.5L V6 produces the equivalent horsepower of a V8 with 6-cylinder efficiency, while the EcoBoost I-4 (in either.6l or 2.0L versions) delivers impressive high-torque performance with a mere 4-cylinder thirst for fuel. By 205, we plan to offer an EcoBoost powerplant on 90% of our North American vehicles.

8 Grow your fleet with Americansourced E85 and B20 biofuels. Ford flexible-fuel vehicles (FFV) are engineered to run on E85 (85% ethanol and 5% gasoline), unleaded gasoline or any blend of the two. Ethanol is derived primarily from corn, grains and agricultural waste. We also offer compatibility when it comes to biodiesel, which is made from vegetable oils and animal fats. Built Ford Tough Super Duty Pickup and Chassis Cab models can operate on B20 (20% biodiesel and 80% petroleum diesel), petroleum diesel or any blend of the two. Biodiesel and ethanol are clean burning and more renewable than conventional fuels.

9 Go the extra green mile fill up with clean-burning CNG or LPG. Thrive with alternative-fuel CNG and LPG conversions. If you re looking to really cut fuel costs and reduce emissions, our compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG consisting primarily of propane) engine prep packages are available for upfitting. Hardened exhaust valves and valve seats are a couple of the engine modifications that help ensure improved wear resistance for these environmentally conscious, gaseous fuel systems. 10 Reduce. All of our Ford vehicles are approximately 85% recyclable by weight Reuse. Consumer actions include: Alternators, doors, engines, fenders, fuel tanks, seats, starters, steering wheel columns, stereos and transmissions can be reconditioned and then sold on the used market Batteries can be recycled or sold on the used market Tires can be shredded and cleaned, and then processed into playground surfaces or garden mulch After all salvageable items are removed, the remaining vehicle structure can be pulverized into fist-sized pieces that are scanned by industrial magnets to recover ferrous metals for the production of new steel Recycle. Ford Motor Company initiatives include: Post-industrial yarns are made into seat fabrics Post-industrial cotton from blue jeans, T-shirts, and the like, is made into interior padding Post-consumer nylon is made into resin for cylinderhead covers Post-consumer plastics are made into air-cleaner assemblies, battery trays, carpets, fan shrouds, heater/air-conditioning housings, insulation, instrument panels, parcel shelves, replacement bumpers, roof lining, seat fabrics, soundproofing, underbody shields and wheel-well liners When possible.

11 A rigorous and holistic approach to reducing the overall impact of manufacturing facilities. Each Ford Motor Company facility has a comprehensive set of environmental targets and uses a detailed scorecard to report against these targets, so that we can track and accelerate improvements. As a result of this initiative, we ve lowered our global water use by 62% between 2000 and 200. Now we re aggressively targeting an additional 30% decrease per vehicle by 205. To facilitate performance tracking, we launched the Global Emissions Manager database (GEM). This industry-leading database provides a globally consistent approach for measuring and monitoring environmental data, which helps us improve our efforts to reduce water consumption, limit energy use, curtail carbon-dioxide emissions, and minimize the amount of waste sent to landfills.
