1 QUARTERLY COMPLIANCE REPORT (JULY 2014) OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY (U 338-E) REGARDING STATUS OF TRANSMISSION PROJECTS AND GENERATION INTERCONNECTION PROJECTS Pursuant to Commission Decision ( D. ) , SCE hereby provides this quarterly report on the status of transmission projects and generation interconnection projects. Relevant information on the construction status, approval status and the purpose of the project (in the form requested by Energy Division) is provided in the attached tables. Modifications from the previous report are highlighted in gray. Cells highlighted yellow contain additional/corrected information to existing projects, not project scope changes. Project cost information has already been provided to the Energy Division under Public Utilities Code Section 583 and is therefore not included in the table. Construction includes 220 kv switchyard w/expansion to 500 kv substation. Transmission Miles: 64.2 Cost Rage ($M): Notes: The Coolwater-Lugo Transmission Project A was a Network Upgrade identified for Reliability and Deliverability required to support the full project development for Abengoa Mojave Solar's new interconnection at Sandlot 220kV Substation. (Formerly Water Valley) (Formerly Lockhart 220kV). Project No New Primm 220kV Substation Project No New Eldorado 500/230 kv AA-Bank Cost Range ($M): Notes: Project changed only a relatively small amount from prior quarterly submission, yet this small change resulted in a new cost range. Lugo Substation - Upgrade Terminal and Series Capacitors on Eldorado-Lugo 500kV T/L Transmission Miles: n/a Capacity\Voltage Level: 500 kv PIN No.: 7546 Approval Status Utility: Yes Approval Status CAISO: Yes Approval Status CPUC: No Project Status: Engr/Design Planned In-service date: 12/31/2016 Cost Range ($M): $ Purpose and Benefit: The series capacitors and terminal eqipment at Eldorado and Lugo Substations on the Eldorado-Lugo 500 kv T/L are being upgraded to deliver generation in the Eldorado Area to the LA Basin. By upgrading the series capacitor and terninal equipment to 3800A/4000A SN/SE capability, the line will be able to operate at a 70% compensation level and thus push more power from Eldorado into Lugo. 6 Project Estimated Cost Cost Range ($M): TBD Purpose and Benefit: The series capacitors and terminal equipment at Mohave Substations on the Lugo-Mohave 500 kv T/L are being upgraded to deliver generation in the Eldorado Area to the LA Basin. By upgrading the series capacitor and terninal equipment to 3800A/4000A SN/SE capability, the line will be able to operate at a 70% compensation level and thus push more power from Eldorado into Lugo. Generation Interconnection Projects Removed Item from the 2 nd quarter 2014 filing as this project was identified as being completed during the 2nd quarter 2014 and flagged for removal from the 3 rd quarter 2014 report. Updated Item No to reflect that an amendment is in progress to increase the Project capacity from 250 MW to 275 MW as a result of the Project's Queue Cluster 5 Expansion Updated Item No to reflect that the phase II network upgrades are now expected to be in-service on 12/1/2015. Updated Item No to reflect that the Project capacity has been reduced from 325 MW to 310 MW pursuant to the CAISO Tariff Downsizing Effort. Updated Item No to reflect that the Project capacity has been reduced from 325 MW to 276 MW pursuant to the CAISO Tariff Downsizing Effort.
