It will resume in early September and continue until late November. The space will be humidity minimized, vibration controlled, EM shielded, air flow minimized and sound controlled. The construction work will complete about 10 June. 7 Map Identification No: 14 North Campus Chilled Water Lines New underground infrastructure including 30 inch chilled water supply and return piping will be installed from the Central Utility Plant running northeast past Cook Hall and terminating north of Mudd Library. The project is also planned to include new steam and condensate lines. These new utilities are planned to serve current and future north campus development. The project is scheduled to start immediately after Commencement, June 20 th, 2011 and to be completed by March The parking lot west of the Allen Center is planned to be closed for the duration of the project, and is being planned by another project to be converted to a more pedestrian friendly space. More construction impact updates to follow as project progresses. The cooling pond water level will be lowered as part of the project. 9 Map Identification No: 19 Internal Service Road Reorganization Construction of new service road to accommodate Evanston fire trucks in conjunction with the new traffic lights installed at the Garrett Parking lot New roadway construction and surrounding landscaping, will provide more green space around Kellogg and Lunt Starts immediately after commencement and finishes prior to student return in the fall Contact Information: Andrew McGonigle Cell: Map Identification No: 20 Garrett Traffic Lights Installation of new set traffic lights and reconfiguration of Entrance C, commonly know as the Garret Parking Lot to provide a safer pedestrian/vehicle crossing point. A new left turn only lane will be installed on the parking lot side to enable a smoother traffic flow. Pedestrian countdown signals will be installed as part of the project and a new designated crosswalk installed to improved pedestrian safety when crossing Sheridan Road. The new entrance will be configured on the existing north driveway. The south driveway will remain open during construction but be two way, single lane traffic. Once the new entrance is completed, the south entrance will be closed and regraded and landscaped. 13 Local Access Only will be maintained to the Northwestern University South Campus Drive. Construction zone No Parking at any time restrictions will be in effect for the duration of the project. To get to South Campus Drive follow the local access only signs.
