7 Allied Electronics Corporation, popularly known as Allied Connectors, is a manufacturer of circular multi-pin military connectors (as per various MIL specifications) based in Mumbai, India. Today, allied connectors which is one of the sector leaders in military connectors. It produces MS, MG and Russian / Metric series approved the LCSO( defense ministry of india). MS Series The Allied MS Connectors of connectors are circular threaded coupling connectors designed as per JSS (equivalent to American MIL C 5015), and are qualified by LCSO (Electronic Components Standards Organisation- Ministry of Defence, Government of India).These connectors are ideal for use in highly ruggedized applications, where power/signal has to be transmitted in an environment of extremely low or high temperatures, with high vibration and shock also present. Apart from providing mechanical protection to the contacts, the connectors offer the advantage of being light weight and easy to handle, which facilitates ease of mating/unmating. MG Series The Allied MG range of connectors are made as per Indian MIL specification JSS 50815, which is equivalent to NATO standard VG These are interchangeable with the MIL C 5015 MS Connectors as they have the same panel mount dimensions and contact arrangements, but not intermateable.the coupling mechanism involves cam shaped grooves on the receptacle and corresponding rivets on the plug coupling nut, with only a 120 deg. turn required to achieve coupling, which is also aided by an audible click and a tactile indication.apart from applications which require quick coupling, MG connectors are used for their high resistance to vibration over and above that which is offered by threaded coupling connectors. These can resist connector decoupling in even the most rugged of applications.the MGR range has an additional wave spring and flat washer in the coupling nut, and stainless steel wear pin on the receptacle to give enhanced coupling/uncoupling performance and even better resistance to vibration. Metric/Russian Range The Metric range of connectors are circular multipin threaded coupling connectors designed and manufactured as per JSS These connectors are mainly used in tanks, aircrafts and military vehicles which are based on the Russian design.
