3 Foreword GB/T Wind Turbine Low-Speed Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator is divided into two parts: Part 1: Technical conditions; Part 2: Test methods. This Part is the first part of GB/T Wind Turbine Low-Speed Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator. This Part was proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation. This Part shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee for Standardization of Wind Machinery. 4 Wind Turbine Low-Speed Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator - Part 1: Technical Conditions 1 Scope This Part of GB/T specifies the main types, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, mark and package, and validity period of low-speed permanent magnet synchronous generator used for grid-connected wind turbines. This Part is applicable to low-speed permanent magnet synchronous generator (hereinafter referred to as generator). Other types of generators may adopt this Part by reference. 2 Normative references The following documents contain the provisions which, through reference in this Part of GB/T 25389, become the provisions of this Part. For the dated references, their subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Part. However, the parties who enter into agreement based on this Part are encouraged to investigate whether the latest versions of these documents are applicable. For undated reference documents, the latest versions apply to this Standard. This condition is called low-speed. Page 5 of 14

6 Recommended voltage levels are as follow: 690V, 1050V, 3150V, 6300V, 10500V. 4.4 Generally, generators are three-phase or double three-phase or six-phase AC output. 4.5 Generally, generators use F insulation class or above. 4.6 The maximum operating rotating-speed of generator is not more than 500 r/min. 4.7 The generators rating is the continuous rating based on continuous duty (S1). 4.8 The structure and installing type of generator shall comply with the provisions of GB/T Generator s degrees of protection shall meet the requirements of wind turbine, and shall comply with the provisions of GB/T Generator shall have reliable cooling methods, and shall comply with the provisions of GB/T The cooling medium used must not be harmful to generator. 5 Technical requirements 5.1 Generator shall comply with the provisions of this Part, and it shall be made according to the drawings and technical documents approved by the prescribed procedures. 5.2 Under the following environmental conditions, generator shall normally operate: a) Altitude that is not exceed 1000m; b) Ambient air temperature of the operating place is not higher than 40 C and not lower than -20 C. As for cold areas, it is not lower than -30 C (when users clearly give the requirement of low-temperature environment). Note: if generator is used under the condition of altitude exceeding 1000m OR ambient air temperature is higher than 40 C, it shall be according to the provisions of GB755. c) The wettest month of which the highest relative air-humidity of monthly average is not larger than 95%, at the same time, the lowest temperature of this month s monthly average is not higher than 25 C. 7 and shall not have harmful deformation for 2 min Insulation resistance limits are as follow: a) In heat state or after heat test, the insulation resistance of generator s stator windings shall not be lower than UN/ (1000+PN/100) MΩ. Note: UN rated voltage, unit: V; PN rated power, unit: kw. b) In +5 C~+35 C, when insulation resistance of buried temperature detector element is measured by 250V megger, its insulation resistance shall not be less than 1 MΩ. c) When insulation resistance of moisture-proof heater is measured by 500V megger, its insulation resistance shall not be less than 1 MΩ Every phase of generator s stator windings and double three-phase windings shall be able to withstand the withstanding voltage test for 1 min and have no puncture. The frequency of test voltage is 50 Hz, and it shall be sine wave as possible. The effective value of voltage is (2U+1000)V. Note: U 2 times DC bus voltage of power converter, unit: V. The same generator shall not repeat this test. If users have a request, it is allowed, after installation, before starting to operate, to conduct another test again on the spot. 8 f) Inter-turn impulse withstanding voltage test; g) Vibration measurement. 7.3 Mechanical inspection items include: a) Assembly inspection: CHECK whether generator assembly is complete and correct, including inspection of pole, rotor, stator, bearing, general assembly and inspection of other important parts. b) Rotation inspection: when generator rotates, it shall be steady and brisk, and it shall not have lag-delay phenomenon. c) Appearance inspection: generator s surface paint shall be dried, complete and uniform. It shall have no stain, collision and crack phenomena. d) Inspection of installation dimension and appearance dimension: appearance and installation dimension shall comply with the relevant provisions. 7.4 When encountering one of the following situations, it shall carry out type test: a) When manufacturers conduct the first time trial or small batch trial production; b) When the changes of design or process are enough to cause the changes of certain characteristic and parameter; c) When the deviation between the inspection test result and the previous type test result is not permissible; d) For regular sampling test of mass produced generators, the sampling-test time shall be at least once every three years; it shall have at least two generators each time. In test, if there is generator not qualified, it shall sample double quantity from the same batch products to re-test the unqualified items. If there still is unqualified generator, then it shall test each generator for this item. 7.5 Generator s type-test items: a) All items of exit-factory test; b) Determination of the starting resistance torque; c) Determination of inherent voltage regulation rate; d) Heating test; Page 11 of 14

9 c) Generator model and production serial number; d) Generator mass and overall mass; e) Package size; f) On the appropriate location of the outer of package, it shall mark words such as: No Rolling, Keep Dry, Upward, Strong Magnetism inside the Electric Motor and No Collision. Graphs shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 191; g) Package hoisting mode and location. 8.8 Each generator shall be accompanied with the following documents. Documents shall be placed in moisture-proof bag and shall be fixed inside the package: a) Accompanying document list; b) Maintenance instruction manual; c) Qualification certificate of product; d) Electric motor winding and temperature measuring element s diagram; e) Other documents required by users (it shall be indicated in contract). 8.9 Under the condition that users correctly use and store the generator according to the instruction manual, manufactures shall ensure the generators operate well within one year of usage, but not exceeding two years from the date of manufacturing. Within the stipulated time, if generators are damaged or can not operate normally because of poor manufacturing quality, manufacturers shall, free of charge, repair or replace the parts or generators for users.
