2 SH 130 & SH 45 NORTH WHAT TO EXPECT GENERAL INFORMATION SH 130 Purpose To improve mobility and relieve congestion on I-35 and other major transportation facilities within the Austin San Antonio corridor. Description SH 130 (Segments 1-4) will be a new 49 mile tollway located east of I-35 through Williamson and Travis counties, extending from I-35 north of Georgetown to US 183 southeast of Austin. It is the 2002 Project of the Central Texas Turnpike System, which also includes SH 45 North and the Loop 1 Extension. SH 130 will be a four-lane divided facility with major interchanges at I-35, US 79, SH 45 North, US 290, and SH 71. Ultimately, SH I30 will become a six-lane facility with a median capable of accommodating future transportation options, such as rail. In December 2004, a Notice to Proceed was issued to the Developer, Lone Star Infrastructure (LSI), to begin right away and environmental work for Segments 5 and 6 of SH 130. Segments 5 and 6 will extend SH I 30 from the Mustang Ridge area through Caldwell and Guadalupe counties, tying into I-10 near Seguin, Texas. Construction o fsegments 5 and 6 has not yet been funded. SH 45 Purpose To improve mobility by providing an efficient cross city route between Austin, Pflugerville, Round Rock, and neighboring communities. Description SH 45 North will be approximately 13 miles long, extending from Ridgeline Blvd West of US 183 eastward to SH 130. It will be four to six-lane divided roadway, with major interchanges at US 183, Loop 1, I-35, and SH 130. SH 45 North will also include limited frontage roads. This project is part of the 2002 Project of the Central Texas Turnpike System, which also includes Loop 1 and the northern 49 miles of SH 130. Construction Schedule Segment Open to Traffic SH 45 North Open Construction Schedule Segment Open to Traffic 1 (1-4) I-35 to US 79 Open 2 (5-10) US 79 to US 290 Open 3 (11-13) US 290 to SH 71 September (12-15) SH 71 to US 183 December 2007 Joa Realty JoaRealty.com help@joarealty.com Phone Fax West Ave. Ste
3 LOOP 1 & 45 SOUTHEAST WHAT TO EXPECT GENERAL INFORMATION Loop 1 Purpose To relieve congestion on existing Loop 1 and surrounding roadways by providing a more efficient route between northern Travis and Williamson counties. Description The Loop 1 extension will be about three miles long from Parmer Ln to SH 45 North. It will be a six lane divided roadway with limited frontage roads. This project is part of the 2002 Project of the Central Texas Turnpike System, which also includes SH 45 North and the northern 49 miles of SH 130. Construction Schedule Project Limits Open to Traffic Loop 1 Open SH 45 Southeast Overview State Hwy 45 Southeast is a major connector facility for the Central Texas transportation system. SH 45SE is not part of the Central Turnpike System and is not funded through the CTTS Series 2002 Obligations. SH 45SE will provide a direct link between I-35 and SH 130. SH45SE will run East/West between I-35 at FM 1327 and SH 130 s junction with US 183. The 7.4 mile long facility will be, under an initial Developer contract, a four-land roadway with limited access and a wide median to accommodate future transportation needs. As traffic warrants and funding is available, the facility could ultimately expand to six lanes. Interchanges will be at the I-35 frontage roads, N. Turnersville, Wright Road, FM 1625, and the SH 130/ US 183 interchange. A future interchange is planned at Wright Road. Construction of SH 45SE is expected to begin during the summer of 2005 and the project is expected to be open to traffic by December

6 RULES OF THE ROAD SAFETY FIRST SAFETY ON OUR ROADWAYS Safety is a priority on Texas roadways. Toll roads are no different. Please stay alert and pay attention to roadway signs. To make sure your drive is a safe and pleasant experience: Never back up or make sudden lane changes at a toll plaza Never try to walk across a toll road, even at toll plazas If you are having a problem, do not get out of your vehicle Observe posted speed limits Wear your safety belt at all times Limit distractions, such as eating or talking on a cell phone Always drive friendly Joa Realty JoaRealty.com help@joarealty.com Phone Fax West Ave. Ste
7 AVOIDING VIOLATIONS VIOLATIONS ON THE TOLLROADS AVOIDING VIOLATIONS What happens if I don t pay? You must keep money in your TxTag account if you are using a tag to pay your tolls. If your account balance drops too low to pay the toll, a camera will take a picture of your vehicle s license plate as it passes through the toll lane. If this happens, the owner of the vehicle could receive an invoice or Notice of Toll Violation in the mail. If you find yourself in this situation, contact the TxTag Customer Service Center immediately. It s the law According to Texas law, not paying the toll is a misdemeanor offence. A toll violator will have to pay the original toll and may also be charged between $25.00 and $ in administrative fees. Fees will increase depending on the level of effort necessary to obtain payment from the vehicle owner. IF a court hearing becomes necessary, the court fine can be up to $ per violation, and additional standard court fees may apply. Violations can be paid through by phone, by mail, or in person at the TxTag Customer Service Center. Tips to help avoid toll violations Keep Funds in Your TxTag Account Violations can occur because of insufficient funds in your account. Unless you are an AutoPay customer, remember to keep track of your account balance and activity. Update Your Account Information If any of the information you provided to the TxTag Customer Service Center changes, be sure to update your account as soon as possible. This will allow us to contact you if your account balance is low or if a problem arises. If you are an AutoPay customer, remember to update your credit card information as well. Notify Us if Your Vehicle is Sold or Stolen You must deactivate your tag by contacting the TxTag Customer Service Center as soon as possible if your vehicle is sold or stolen. Pay Attention to Toll Lane Lights Where Available- Use the lights to get feedback on your toll tag account status. Joa Realty JoaRealty.com help@joarealty.com Phone Fax West Ave. Ste
