Founded in 1977, Stocks began manufacturing dual wheels for tractors and a very simple slug pellet applicator, called Fan Jet. Today, Stocks manufacture a comprehensive range of small, 12 volt powered applicators to apply slug pellets, OSR, grass seed, fertiliser and many other seeds and granules. The product range now has 4 models of Fan Jet, plus the very successful Turbo Jet pneumatic seeder and Micro Meter gravity feed boxes, and granule and fertiliser applicators used in the agricultural, horticultural and amenity sectors. In the UK our products are sold through a nationwide dealer network, and are exported to many other counties through appointed distributors. Stocks are also now the largest UK manufacturer of specialist wheels for agricultural tractors and produce most types and designs for other agricultural vehicles and implements. 4 Applicators Introduction Stocks manufacture a range of machines designed for the specialist application of small seeds and granular products used in the agricultural, horticultural and amenity sectors. All are designed and engineered for performance, simplicity, and longevity, and are powered by the 12 volt DC electrical system of the vehicle and come with a choice of basic or sophisticated control systems. Good design, high quality robust motors, the extensive use of stainless steel and plastics and consistent high build quality ensure a long and reliable working life. Stocks applicators are specified as Original Equipment by several manufacturers and are used extensively by farmers in the UK and abroad. Constant product development and innovation has resulted in new machines and improvements to most of the range. We have introduced the new RDS i-con control system - a GPS based colour touch screen control for PF variable rate seeding from field maps, with speed proportionate metering and the ability to nudge rates up or down, and full audio visual monitoring of all functions, and a simple calibration and set procedure. The i-con is compatible with many models of applicator. These include: Fan Jet spinning disc broadcasters for spreading slug pellets, grass seed, OSR, stubble turnips, clover, etc. and granular products, and game feed. NEW Rotary feed Fan Jet Pro Plus,Twin Plus and Duo Plus allow ultra low rate application and speed related output. Micro Meter gravity feed multi-outlet seed boxes for small seeds such as OSR and grass, stubble turnips, kale, etc, and chemical and micro-granular applications. Maxi Meter gravity feed multi outlet stainless steel hoppers for large seeds such as peas, beans and maize, and to meter higher rates of fertiliser, sulphur, and other larger granules. Rotor Meter gravity feed 1, 2 and 3 row applicator for precise metering of many granular and micro-granular products, and small seeds, and NEW Rotor Meter Air Force gives pneumatic delivery of product. Turbo Jet pneumatic distributor for small seeds such as OSR and grass, stubble turnips, kale, etc. Also slug pellets and some microgranular products. NEW VS-2 model is perfect as a low cost speed related metering grass seeder. Special requests or bespoke machines will be considered for particular applications, for example, different hopper capacities or higher or lower product application rates, or to spread new or different products. 5 Fan Jet Broadcaster Introduction all models Six models of cost effective and multi purpose 12 volt electric spinning disc broadcaster to apply slug pellets, grass seed, small seeds, granules and game feed. All models have a choice of hopper size and cost options available to enhance the performance for specific jobs. Please refer to the individual product Pricing Choices for details. Headland Control Slug pellets are pesticides keep pesticides out of water. Follow The Voluntary Initiative Best Practice Advice. All Fan Jets feature a form of headland control to limit and bias the spread and throw of pellets to one side or the other. When spreading pellets alongside a water course or sensitive field margin, please use these features to ensure all pellets or any other chemical granules do not contaminate the water. Spread Width The spread widths quoted are only a guide. The maximum spread width is determined by a variety of factors: Product type and density, application rate, forward speed, wind speed and direction, disc height, electrical power, etc. Density of spread products will diminish towards the extremity try to achieve an overlap. 6 Fan Jet Mini 65, 130 & 240 The Mini is designed for restricted spreading of slug pellets from approximately 2 12 metres, typically mounted to the back of a cultivator immediately prior to seed drilling, or to the back of a seed drill or cultivator-seeder whilst seeding, or a set of rolls after seeding. The standard control is a simple in-cab dial control and provides manual on-the-move rate changes or it can be supplied with the new RDS colour touch screen GPS based i-con control for automatic speed proportionate application, and PF variable rate application working from field maps. It can also spread other granular products and seeds, such as herbicide granules in vineyards and fruit orchards, and game feed. Available with 3 hopper capacities, either 65 litres (approx 50 kgs slug pellets) or 130 litres (approx 100 kgs slug pellets) or 240 litres (approx 185kgs slug pellts) and is named Fan Jet Mini 65, or Fan Jet Mini 130, or Fan Jet Mini 240 accordingly. W660 x D710 x H1200 (240L) Spread Widths For all products we recommend a minimum disc height of 1m from the ground or crop canopy, and calm conditions. Slug Pellets. Variable disc speed and adjustable width deflectors are used to alter the spread width of most pellets from 2 10 metres wide to match the implement. Other products. It can be used as a game feeder, or to apply fertiliser or other chemical or herbicide granules in confined spaces such as glasshouses, orchards, vineyards and between fruit bushes and will spread other granules and seeds at narrow widths. 7 Fitting All models are for use with seeders or cultivators. Select a suitable and robust mounting position. Note; These machines should remain upright during use and transport. Base or back mounting. The 65 and 130 have a tipping bracket that will attach horizontally or vertically for base or back mounting, and has 2 hole positions to adjust the angle of pitch. The 240 does not tip and is only for base mounting. Note; The full weight of the 240 is 250kgs! ATV s. Use only the Mini 65 with an ATV, an ATV Fitting Kit is available - see Cost Options. Electric Controls Provide variable disc and feed motor speed, with instant start and stop of spreading, and on-the-move rate change. Control console, 3.5m fused battery power lead and 6m connector cable are supplied. Extension cables as a cost option. Option of i-con GPS based control for automatic speed proportionate application, and PF variable rates. Spreading Features A high quality disc motor drives the stainless steel disc which has 2 small stainless steel vanes for restricted spreading. The control console dial provides variable disc speed to give the required spread width. Product is metered to the disc via rotating fluted feed rolls powered by a separate 2 speed electric motor coupled to a 12 speed dial on the control console to give a total of 24 feed motor speeds. The fluted rolls agitate the pellets to ensure a consistent flow. Application rates can be changed on the move from the tractor seat. Feed rolls supplied are suitable for most products from ultra-low rate through to high rate applications and provides a very versatile adjustable mechanism. Alternative feed rolls are available for different products and application rates, and are easily changed. The feed motor is switched on and off for instant and positive start and stop. Application rates are set by the combination of feed roll type and speed of rotation. The feed rolls meter product through 2 feed apertures for a more even distribution onto the disc and thus a better and more even spread pattern left and right, than with just a single feed aperture. 9 Mini 130 Width and Headland Control Variable disc speed control is used as the primary method of spread width setting and is ideal to use as headland control with slug pellets, simply dial down the disc speed as required. Integral adjustable width deflectors are fitted to each side of the disc. These can be used individually as a headland control to one side only, or together to give fine tuning or overall reduction of the spreading width. PRICING CHOICE - Model & Cost Options Fan Jet Mini 65, 130, and 240. All models are supplied complete with control console and standard cables. COST OPTIONS i-con control system. For automatic, speed related accurate application rates, and PF variable rates working from pre-defined field maps. ATV Fitting Kit. Suitable for the 65 model only - A universal, all steel, quick fit bracket and attaching mechanism to fit the Fan Jet to the rear luggage carrier. The bracket elevates the Fan Jet above the rear carrier to maximise the disc height, and jacking bolts adjust the angle of pitch of the Fan Jet to compensate for suspension deflection of the ATV under load. Short 2m power and 2.5m connector cables minimise power drop to maximise disc motor speed and spread width. A rear shield bolts to the Fan Jet to protect the operator. Calibration Chute. To assist when calibrating the machine, the chute quickly and simply attaches to the Fan Jet to safely collect and channel the pellets or seed into a collection bag for weighing. 10 Fan Jet Pro 65 & 130 The Pro is the most popular Fan Jet and is suitable to fit to, and use with all machines including ATV s, UTV s, tractors, self propelled and trailed sprayers, and cultivation machinery in fact any vehicle, or even boats, with a 12 volt power source. Although it is used primarily to spread slug pellets to 24m from a wide variety of vehicles, it is equally suitable as a seed broadcaster, especially with the Grass Seed Deflector, or Vario control. Re-seed or over-seed pasture with a tined grass harrow, or broadcast small seeds such as rape, turnip and clover from a stubble cultivator. Use with chemical granules such as herbicide granules in glasshouses or on land, weed control in waterways, low rate fertiliser applications, game feeding, etc. It will spread most free flowing products - widths will depend on the size, shape and density larger, more aerodynamic, heavy products spread further. If the width must be restricted, choose the Vario disc speed control. Available with 2 hopper capacities, either 65 litres (approx 50 kgs slug pellets or 22 kgs grass) or 130 litres (approx 100 kgs slug pellets or 45 kgs grass) and is named Fan Jet Pro 65, or Fan Jet Pro 130 accordingly. 07 Stocks Ag Limited

Dry or steam processed pellets should spread to 20m+, more dense wet extruded pellets should be 24m+. Seeds. It is also equally suitable to spread small seeds such as Grass up to 6m, Rape up to 18m, Stubble Turnips and Clover up to 12 15m. Other products. It will spread any material that flows freely through the feed apertures; for example Game feed, Wheat, Barley, Oats, Prilled fertiliser (low rate only), Refined dry Salt, Sulphur granules, Herbicide micro-granules, etc. Widths will vary according to product density more dense = wider spread. 12 Fan Jet Pro 65 & 130 Fitting ATV s We recommend only the Pro 65 for use with an ATV, especially with the ATV Fitting Kit see Cost Options. UTV s. (Utility Vehicles, eg, JD Gator, Kawasaki Mule, Kioti Mechron, etc). Both the Pro 65 or 130 (and Twin) are suitable to use with these machines and an optional UTV Fitting Kit may be available see Cost Options. Base or back mounting. 13 Spreading Features A custom built disc motor designed to run with the reduced power output typical of an ATV, and still maintain high speed and torque under full load to give maximum spread. The stainless steel double skin disc has 2 long stainless steel vanes running from the centre of the disc to the outside. Pellets are collected gently in the centre, and then accelerated along the vane between the top and bottom disc, with less breakage to give a wider and more even spread of intact pellets with greater efficacy in the field and improved resistance to weathering. Product is gravity metered through 2 feed apertures for a more even distribution onto the disc and thus a better and more even spread pattern left and right, than with just a single feed aperture. An agitator ensures a consistent flow of pellets. The all stainless steel and plastic feed mechanism has stepless adjustment of application rate with an easy to use graduated lockable slide. The two feed apertures open initially with a small elliptical shape for low rate seeding with OSR, stubble turnips, etc, and open fully for high rate / high speed slug pelleting and grass seeding. Electric actuators are switched via the control console and power the separate feed shut off slides to give instant, positive start and stop to spreading. For maximum spread width keep them retracted or simply pull them round as far as required to restrict the spread. Stepless spread bias adjustment provides adjustment of the throw of product to the left or right to fine tune the pattern, and can also be used as a headland control especially if used with the deflectors. All models are supplied complete with control console and standard cables COST OPTIONS Vario Disc Speed Control A disc speed control to reduce the overall spreading width - ideal to use as headland control with slug pellets, or when broadcasting small seeds using an implement, for example when incorporating a cover crop of clover or stubble turnips using a stubble cultivator or grass seed using a tined grass harrow. Use with the integral width deflectors or optional seed deflector, and simply dial down the disc speed as required to match the bout width. ATV Fitting Kit. 16 Fan Jet Pro 65 & 130 Grass Seed Deflector. This easily attached, adjustable, all steel deflector gives a more accurate and controlled placement of grass seed when re-seeding or overseeding pasture with a tined grass harrow. It provides adjustable width and depth of spread, and will deflect seed down into the tines of the harrow especially useful in windy conditions. It is suitable for use with harrows 3 6m wide, and supplied with a grass agitator as standard. Grass Seed Agitator. Replaces the standard agitator to help prevent difficult seeds bridging in the hopper. Calibration Chute. To assist when calibrating the machine, the chute quickly and simply attaches to the Fan Jet to safely collect and channel the pellets or seed into a collection bag for weighing. 17 Fan Jet Pro Plus Fan Jet Pro Plus. This model has all the features of the standard Fan Jet Pro in terms of spreading performance, headland control, and cost options (except variable disc speed is standard) The difference is that this model uses a rotary feed mechanism instead of gravity feed onto the disc. Fluted feed rolls are driven by a reliable electric motor, and the choice of feed roll and speed of rotation determines the application rate. The standard control allows rates to be manually changed on the move, or using the new i-con GPS based control, rates are automatically controlled in proportion to forward speed for ultimate accuracy, and can apply PF variable rate application working from field maps. Rotary feed also allows very low application rates to be used for multiple low rate top-ups without risk of blockages. 18 Fan Jet Twin The Twin is a low cost machine designed to spread a large, dense slug pellet typically from 20m up to a maximum of 30 metres. It is suitable to fit to any vehicle developing 40 amps, making it ideal to use with most UTV s (utility vehicles) as well as front mounted to tractors, and self propelled sprayers. PLEASE NOTE. If very low application rates or forward speeds, or on-the-move manually or automatic variable rates are required, select the Fan Jet Twin PLUS with rotary feed mechanisms. The Fan Jet Twin model described here uses 2 Fan Jets, handed left and right, which are used together but have individual LH and RH controls allowing either side to be shut off independently.the feed mechanisms, discs and disc motors are reversed on one machine to give contra-rotating discs. Cost options include a robust mounting chassis when front mounting to tractors or self propelled sprayers, and a UTV Fitting Kit may be available. It can spread a large, dense, wet extruded slug pellet up to approximately 30 metres in total. 19 Fitting If fitting to UTV s (Utility Vehicles, eg, JD Gator, Kawasaki Mule, Kioti Mechron, etc) an optional UTV Fitting Kit may be available see Cost Options. If fitting to a tractor front 3 point linkage or loader, or front mounting to a self propelled sprayer, the optional Twin Mounting Chassis may be used. It is easily user adapted to suit various vehicles. We recommend front mounting direct to the chassis of self propelled sprayers using the bolt holes provided in a large vertical bracket of the chassis. A strong rigid mounting is required. Base or back mounting. For other installations, the tipping bracket attaches horizontally or vertically for base or back mounting, and has 2 hole positions to adjust the angle of pitch. Electric Controls Individual LH and RH controls provide variable disc speed and individual start and stop of spreading, and a master switch starts and stops both machines together. 21 Fan Jet Twin Plus & Duo Plus These models have been revised to use a rotary feed mechanism instead of gravity feed feed onto the discs. Fluted feed rolls are driven by reliable electric motors and the choice of feed roll and speed of rotation determines the application rate. Rates can be manually changed on the move, or using a Precision VR control, rates are automatically controlled in proportion to forward speed for the ultimate accuracy and can apply PF variable rates using pre-defined field maps. Rotary feed also allows very low application rates to be used for multiple low rate top-ups, for example when blight spraying potatoes. The two models are very similar, and essentially the only difference is the disc motor. The Twin PLUS uses 2 x standard disc motors used on Fan Jet Pro and Fan Jet Twin models due to the lower power requirement (40A) this model is ideal to use with UTV s (utility vehicles) as well as crop sprayers and tractors, and can spread a large, dense slug pellet typically from 20m up to a maximum of 30 metres. The Duo PLUS is essentially the same except the disc motors are larger and more powerful, spinning at up to 1000rpm faster it is ideal to use with self propelled sprayers and to fit to the front linkage of tractors, and can spread a large, dense slug pellet typically from 24m up to a maximum of 36 metres. Please Note. Due to the increased power requirement (60A) the Duo PLUS is not recommended for UTV use unless high capacity alternators are fitted please note that disc height will still be a limiting factor regarding the maximum spread from a UTV. Both the Twin PLUS and Duo PLUS models use 2 Fan Jets, handed left and right, which are used together but have individual LH and RH controls allowing either side to be shut off independently. 22 Fan Jet Twin Plus & Duo Plus Spread Widths For maximum width, we recommend a minimum disc height of 2m from the ground or crop canopy, and calm conditions. Slug Pellets. It can spread a large, dense, wet extruded slug pellet up to approximately 30 (Twin PLUS) or 36 (Duo PLUS) metres in total. Each machine spreads from the centreline of the vehicle, up to 15m or 18m each side to give a combined total of up to 30m or 36m. Fitting We recommend front mounting direct to the chassis of self propelled sprayers or tractor front linkage, using the bolt holes provided in a large vertical bracket of the integral heavy duty Duo chassis. A strong rigid mounting is required. As a cost option we offer a hydraulic raise and lower front linkage to fit to the front of John Deere self propelled sprayers. 24 Fan Jet Twin Plus & Duo Plus Spreading Features Powerful 12volt disc motors drive the discs at high speeds. These require sufficient electrical power to work correctly, especially the Duo PLUS. An audiovisual alarm warns of low power or disc motor failure. The contra-rotating discs stainless steel discs are handed left and right, and each has 4 long stainless steel vanes running from the centre of the disc to the outside. Pellets are collected gently in the centre, then accelerated along the vane with less breakage to give a wider and more even spread of intact pellets with greater efficacy in the field and greater resistance to weathering. Product is metered via fluted feed rolls onto the discs which are deliberately biased to spread to the left and right respectively.the choice of feed roll, and speed of rotation determines the application rate.the standard control has 36 equally spaced motor speeds and allows on-the-move manual rate change and an option of Precision VR controls will give fully automatic speed proportionate output, and could be linked to field maps for precision farming variable rate application working from a field map. 25 Width and Headland Control Independent left and right hand control is used to shut one side off for short work and as a headland control. Variable disc speed control is used as the primary method of spread width setting and is ideal to use as headland control, simply dial down the disc speed as required. Stepless spread bias adjustment provides adjustment of the throw of product to the left or right to fine tune the pattern, and can also be used as a headland control. 26 Control Systems The Fan Jet, Micro Meter, Maxi Meter, Rotor Meter and Turbo Jet all have variable speed feed rolls driven by 12 volt electric motors choose Vari-Speed, VS-2, i-con or Precision VR control systems. VARI-SPEED CONTROL (USE WITH MICRO METER / MAXI METER / ROTOR METER / TURBO JET) MANUAL - NON SPEED RELATED This is a simple low cost control, Vari-Speed cab console with manual ON/OFF and a dial to set the application rate. 30 Micro Meter Application Rate Each hopper has 6 outlets. Product is metered by a precision moulded plastic fluted feed roll driven by a stainless steel feed shaft powered by a 12 volt motor driving through a 2 speed reduction gearbox. The feed rolls slide through their housings to provide stepless rate adjustment by opening or closing the feed aperture using a simple rotary wheel and the feed shaft speed can be increased or decreased as required. The application rate is set by a combination of feed aperture setting and shaft speed - which in turn is a combination of gearbox setting (high or low speed) and feed motor speed. For 2 or 3 metre units, each hopper has its own adjuster to slide the 6 feed rolls together. A simple calibration catch and weigh test will determine the rate and settings. Cost option of deep groove feed rolls is available for higher output, eg, grass seed, fertiliser. Please enquire. Blanking Plates Use these to reduce the number of outlets per hopper as required. For example if band sowing behind a 5 leg sub-soiler, use a 1m Micro Meter with 6 outlets and blank off 1 outlet, leaving 5. 31 Spreader Kit Each 1m hopper is supplied with a spreader kit consisting of 6 inverted nylon cones attached to steel tubes, in turn attached to a length of steel channel section which is suspended below the Micro Meter hopper on supplied brackets. These spreader assemblies may be joined together if using 2 or 3 hoppers. The spreaders slide along the channel to the required spacing where they are locked in place. 10m of rubber delivery tube per hopper is supplied to be cut to length as required. 32 Micro Meter What width Micro Meter is required? This is determined by the implement width, the number of feed outlets needed, hopper capacity required, and the decision to broadcast or band sow. Broadcast Typically used for small seeds or herbicide granules if all the bout width has been cultivated. Broadcast width using the spreader cones. Each 1m hopper has 6 spreaders and will broadcast most granules and small seeds evenly up to 1.5m (max), so 2 hoppers with 12 spreaders = 3m even broadcast (max) and 3 hoppers with 18 spreaders = up to 4.5m even broadcast (max). Height of the cones approx mm from the ground and spread widths will vary according to product being metered establish width before use. Band Sow Typically used when sowing rape from a sub-soiler with no other cultivation and band sowing behind or just to each side of the legs over the wings, or applying microgranular fertiliser in bands. 34 Micro Meter Combi-Drive Micro Meter Combi-Drive The Combi-Drive is designed to fit behind, and take a mechanical drive from the existing Stocks Micro Meter i-con OSR seeder, and is used to band sow or broadcast slug pellets or growth promotion granular fertiliser, whilst OSR seeding using a cultivator. The pellets or fertiliser are placed exactly where required, reducing costs, and contamination of water at field margins and focuses nutrients whilst aiding compliance of NVZ regulations. The application rate will be proportionate to the forward speed using the existing GPS based RDS i-con control system to control both Micro Meters. Using a separate hopper, feed units and delivery tubes from the OSR seeder enables independent application rates to be used, and the placement of the slug pellets or fertiliser granules can be positioned wherever is required for maximum effect. Typically integrated into smaller, rigid, non folding equipment and planters to meter and distribute full size prilled or trace element fertiliser for placement when sowing OSR using a cultivator, or a maize drill, etc. The fertiliser is placed exactly where required, reducing costs, and contamination of water at field margins and focuses nutrients whilst aiding compliance of NVZ regulations. 41 Turbo Jet 8 & 10 The Turbo Jet is a versatile and accurate pneumatic applicator to meter and spread most small seeds up to 8m wide. It is available with 8 or 10 outlets, and with either VS-2 or i-con controls. VS-2 is the ideal machine to establish or rejuvenate pasture, or apply low cost cover crops, and the GPS based i-con provides the ultimate in accuracy with precision farming variable rate for OSR seeding. The Turbo Jet is typically used to sow small seeds such as rape, mustard, turnips, etc, at very low rates down to 2 kgs/ha or below, through to full rate grass seeding at 40+ kgs/ha. It is also suitable to apply slug pellets prior to or post drilling, fertiliser - both prilled and micro-granular, herbicide granules such as Avadex and cereal seeds used to stabilise blowing soil. (Alternative feed rolls are available to enhance performance with micro-granular products.) Two or three Turbo Jets may be used together to apply OSR and fertiliser and slug pellets at the same time. It is possible to do this using only one control - please enquire for details. It is usually fitted to cultivation equipment of all types such as tined grass harrows up to 6m wide, or 3m wide mounted stubble cultivators, to 8m wide x 20m long tillage trains. It is suited to both folding or rigid equipment and will work up to 30m from the power source. It is adaptable for broadcasting or band sowing and the 8 or 10 outlets can be doubled to 16 or 20 for the ultimate broadcast effect, or can be individually blanked off to band sow with a 5, 7 or 9 leg subsoiler. Use it with tined grass harrows to undersow or re-seed pasture, or with almost any cultivator as a low cost one pass seeder. A 12 volt motor drives fluted feed rolls that meter seeds into the individual air tubes. High capacity electric fans ensure a reliable spread, and the versatile feed mechanism easily adapts for different rates and products, and a selectable agitator prevents difficult grass seeds from bridging. The Turbo Jet is supplied as standard with everything that should be required, and the only cost options are extra extension cables when fitting to long cultivators. NOTE. The TJ8 is the most popular model, with the TJ10 being especially useful for a 9 leg cultivator or for ultra-high rate grass seeding in the amenity sector, eg, for golf course, playing fields or parks. 43 Spread Width Maximum width 8m from 8 or 10 outlets and delivery tubes. 44 Turbo Jet 8 & 10 Spreader Kit Each Turbo Jet is supplied with 16 (TJ8) or 20 (TJ10) spreaders and 8m of steel channel rail and brackets (4 x 2m lengths). These are fitted to the implement, and the spreaders slide along the channel to the required position where they are locked in place. Product is metered by the feed rolls down individual delivery tubes to the spreader kit. A 30m reel of tube is supplied as standard to be cut to length as required. 41 Stocks Ag Limited

45 Broadcast or Band Sown effect The spreaders have a detachable spread plate which is retained for broadcasting and simply removed for band sowing. Broadcast Broadcast width of each spreader will vary with different product being spread, but typically up to 4m wide single tubes are often used without being split, and over 4m it is usual to fit the Y connectors. The tubes and spreaders are fanned out to suit. Typical height approx mm and will vary according to product being metered. 47 Feed Mechanism Small seed and grass seed rolls are supplied as standard. Fluted feed rolls on a stainless steel shaft are driven by a 12 volt electric motor. The application rate is set by the combination of feed roll type and shaft speed. Simple calibration catch and weigh test to establish application rate, a calibration tray is supplied. 48 Turbo Jet 8 & 10 Small Seeds Individual feed rolls for each outlet ensure accuracy down to very low rates or 2kgs/ha or below of rape seed. These feed rolls are assembled on the shaft in combination with spacers to give the required application rate and forward speed range. They are easily changed as required. Grass Seed and Mixes High capacity feed rolls are supplied to meter high rates of grass up to 40 kgs/ha at 6m wide at 12 kph. An agitator powered by a separate electric motor is fitted inside the hopper base and used with grass seeds to prevent difficult seeds bridging, and ensure a constant flow of seed to the feed rolls. Airflow Twin high capacity electric fans and large bore tube deliver powerful airflow for reliable spreading and the fans are totally enclosed by mesh air intakes to prevent the ingress of straw and chaff. The fans are extremely reliable IP 68 rated waterproof and dustproof, and the meshed intakes are easily accessible to clean down if required. 49 Fitting to the Implement The positioning of both the Turbo Jet itself and the spreaders will vary according to the seed being used, the implement type (rigid or folding) and length and width, the effect required (broadcast or band sown). The Turbo Jet has a robust 5mm pressed steel base plate which should be used to bolt to user supplied brackets. The spreaders may be attached equi-distant across the width in front of or behind following depth control rolls or press rings or wheels or positioned in line with sub-soiler or cultivator legs. 50 Conditions of Sale The following General Conditions of Sale shall apply to all contracts for the Sale of the Company s goods and shall prevail over any terms and conditions inconsistent with them whether appearing on the order placed with the company or otherwise. Acceptance A quotation does not constitute an offer and may be withdrawn at any time prior to confirmation of an order by the company. Prices quoted are based on present cost of materials and labour and are subject to adjustment to cover any variations which might take place prior to the date of dispatch. All quotations are made exclusive of Value Added Tax which will be charged extra at the current rate. Any quotation is also subject to the goods referred to being available for execution of the order. No clerical errors or omissions in quotations or acceptances of orders shall annul the sale, but shall be subject to subsequent correction by the Company and no compensation shall be allowed to the purchaser in respect thereof. Illustrations The company will not be bound to sell goods that correspond with illustrations, leaflets, advertisements and drawings or other matter issued by or on its behalf. The Company s designs are necessarily subject to alterations, and the purchaser shall purchase upon the understanding that such alterations may be made if the Company deems such alterations to be necessary. Weights and Measurements All weights, measurements and horse-powers, etc., given in estimates, illustrations, leaflets, advertisements or drawings or other matter issued by or on behalf of the Company are believed to be correct but are not guaranteed and shall not be binding on the Company insofar as it fair and reasonable to vary such estimates, illustrations, leaflets, advertisements, drawings or other matter issued by or on behalf of the Company. Delivery The time given for delivery is an estimate only. It is given in good faith but not guaranteed and the company will not be bound by it. The Company shall not be liable for the consequence of any delay in delivery. All deliveries will be ex-works and unpacked unless otherwise stated. Where goods are carried and delivered by the Company or any other carrier, the care, carriage and unloading thereof whether by the Company s employees or otherwise shall in all respects be at the purchaser s cost and risk unless special arrangements have been made to the contrary in writing, and no compensation or damages will be paid by the Company, for loss, damage, delay, detention or mis-delivery whether caused by the act or the default of the Company or its employees or by accident or otherwise. The purchaser must notify the carrier and the Company in writing within 3 days of any damage to goods caused in transit or any irregularity in the carriage or delivery of the goods. In cases of non-delivery the carriers and the Company must be advised in writing within 14 days of the date of despatch, which is indicated by the date of the Company s relevant Advice Note and Invoice. In the prosecution of any claims against the carriers in respect of damage, shortage or nondelivery, the Company shall be the agent of the purchaser and the purchaser shall indemnify the Company against all loss and expenses occasioned thereby. The Company advises that all goods packed in cases or cartons be opened and inspected for damage immediately. Payment Unless otherwise agreed in writing payment (as to which time shall be of the essence) is due at the end of the month, following the month in which the Company s invoice is dated and (without prejudice to the Company s other rights and remedies) any sum not paid when it is due shall thereafter carry interest as well after as before any judgement until date of payment in full at the rate of three percent annum above the base lending rate of Lloyd s bank PLC for the time being. If any payment is not made on the due date the Company reserves the right to withdraw credit terms. The purchaser shall not be entitled, whether by reason of any claim against the Company or for any other reason whatsoever, under any circumstances to defer payment of any monies payable to the Company as and when such monies become due and payable. Cancellations No orders given to the Company can be cancelled without the Company s consent in writing having been obtained and it shall be an implied condition of such cancellation that the purchaser shall indemnify the Company against all loss and expenses occasioned thereby. Defects (a) The company warrants that where it is satisfied after inspection of goods supplied by it that material or workmanship of the Company is defective or that the goods differ materially from their description it shall either (at its discretion) replace or repair the goods provided that: (i) the purchaser gives written notice to the Company of any claim within the warranty period relevant to the goods in question, and (ii) the goods are returned to the company at the purchaser s expense, and (iii) written notice of any defect or material difference in the goods from their description is given within six weeks of the date of such defect arising or such material difference being discovered. The warranty periods applicable to particular goods are as laid down from time to time in the Company s warranty circulars or as otherwise notified to the purchaser. 47 Stocks Ag Limited

51 All warranty periods commence with the date of the dispatch of the goods. (b) The aforementioned warranty in (a) above does not apply to defects in the Company s goods or damage to the Company s goods caused by: (i) the misuse, operation beyond the limits of rated capacity, or neglect or default in the use of application of the goods (other than by the company), or (ii) fair wear or tear, or (iii) the use of spares or spare parts not supplied by the company, except to the extent that the Company has recommended the use of such spares or spare parts, or (iv) faulty workmanship or negligence on the part of any person (other than the Company), or (v) any accident misuse or neglect attributable to any person, firm or corporation (other than the Company). (c) Except as mentioned in (a) above no condition warranty collateral warranty or representation as to the goods or their quality, design, specification, performance or fitness for a particular purpose is given by the Company or shall be implied into the contract for the sale of the goods by law and the Company shall not be liable whether in contract, tort or otherwise for any loss, damage, expense or injury (except personal injury or death) whether to person or property howsoever caused and whether direct or consequential suffered by the purchaser, its employees, agents or any other third party arising out of the contract for the sale of the goods or the goods supplied. Returns The return of goods supplied against firm order will not be accepted. In certain special cases where a genuine error in ordering has occurred and replacements are required, the original goods may be accepted back after prior permission in writing. Any such goods accepted back will be the subject of a handling charge to cover outward carriage and restocking. No representative of the company has authority to change these conditions of sale in any way whatsoever and no attempt to repair, or promise to repair or improve the Company s goods by any Company representative shall change or extend these conditions of sale in any way whatsoever. Reservations of Title (a) Until such time as full payment is received by the Company for all goods supplied by the Company to the purchaser and the purchaser has paid in full any other monies owing to the Company all goods shall remain the property of the Company and the purchaser shall hold the goods as bailee for the Company and shall store the goods in such a way that it is clear that they are the property of the Company. The purchaser s right to possession of the goods shall cease if he (not being a company) commits an available act of bankruptcy or, if being a company, the purchaser has a Receiver appointed over any of its assets or enters into liquidation (compulsory or voluntary) and the Company may at that time (without prejudice to its other rights and remedies) terminate the purchaser s right to sell the goods and recover or recall all or any of its goods in the purchaser s possession or under the purchaser s control and the Company its employees or agents is hereby irrevocably authorised to enter upon the purchaser s premises to recover the goods. (b) The purchaser shall have the right to sell the goods in the ordinary course of business and shall hold any proceeds of sale in respect of goods (which shall be kept in a separate account) and any rights arising from any sale thereof as trustee for the Company. Termination/Suspension Without prejudice to its other rights and remedies the Company shall be entitled to suspend wholly or partially the supply of the goods in the event of shortage of materials or labour, disputes or any matter of force majeure or beyond the control of the Company or if the purchaser shall be indebted to the Company on any other account or be insolvent or go into liquidation or have a Receiver appointed over any of its assets (if a Company) or (if an individual) commit an act of bankruptcy.
