3 1. INTRODUCTION The survey was based on the results obtained from the responses from postal employees using alternative vehicles (electric and hybrid) Free Duck in their work in deliveryes of mail. Respondents are 34 postal employees, broken down by cities as follows Perugia, Italy-14; Ghent, Belgium-1; Damme, Belgium-1; Szentendre, Hungary-6; Sofia, Bulgaria-1; Ruse, Bulgaria -11. The purpose of this research is to collect information from postal employees who have used Free Duck for the performance of the work of vehicles and their employability. In the course of study are addressed problems related to assessment: - Main Aspects of the vehicle; - Suitability to the specific use; - Road test; - Comfort; - Autonomy, reliability and maintenance; - Type of vehicle most liked (if both used); - Use of the vehicle depending on path; - Use of the vehicle depending on location; - Use of the vehicle depending on route length; - Perceived safety while driving (possibility of incurring a traffic accident); - Safety during the execution of loading/unloading, opening/closing, controls, etc. (possibility of injury); - Functionality of the vehicle compared to the daily postal delivery. 2. INFORMATION ABOUT RESPONDENTS Total number of surveyed drivers-34 1.Age: years years -18 Weight: between predominantly kg over 80 kg. Height: predominantly cm-94 Sex: Men 75, women 25. RESULTS Groups are assessed a total of 12 indicators Main Aspects of the vehicle Difficult/ Sufficient/ Good/ Excellent/ Elevated, Middle, Discreet, Light, Opening/closing the doors Down/climb from the vehicle Location and easy-command of lights, engine starter, etc Front visibility Rear visibility Rear-view mirrors adjustment Easy grip and rotation of the steering wheel Effort to operate foot controls (Brake, accelerator) Accessibility of hand/foot controls Use of the parking brake The prevailing estimates are Good/Discreet-44 and Sufficient/Middle- 30. The main deficiencies observed in: Opening / closing the doors; Rearview mirrors adjustment. 3.2.Suitability to the specific use Difficult/ Sufficient/ Good, Excellent, Insufficient, Adequate, Load capacity Opening/closing the load Goods loading/unloading ease Load Stability and/or fixing systems use The prevailing assessments are Good 45 and Sufficient / Adequate The main deficiencies observed in: Load capacity; Load Stability and / or fixing systems use. The main deficiencies observed in: Stability in case of wind/other vehicles crossing; Stability while braking; Laden vehicle use; Keeping slippery/wet road Comfort Difficult/ Elevated, Sufficient/ Bearable, Good/ Low, Excellent/ Very Low, Asperity dumping Seat comfort Opening/closing windows ease Driving seat space Noise Summer Comfort (presence of hot surfaces, adequacy of ventilation) Winter comfort and weather protection (presence of infiltrations, etc.) The prevailing assessments are Difficult/Elevated 32 and Sufficient/ Bearable-40. The main deficiencies observed in: Autonomy, Reliability of vehicle (failures frequency) Short evaluation about the type of vehicle most liked (if both used). Electric Hybrid The data are derived from 20 interviewees. 14 respondents that essentially are Messengers of Bulgaria, have not opinions because they have not used hybrid version of the Free Duck. Most preferred 80 car Free Duck is electricity Short evaluation about the use of the vehicle depending on path The prevailing assessments are Adequate -56 and Good Short evaluation about the use of the vehicle depending on location EIE/07/119/SI GREEN POST Pag. 6 / 10
7 The prevailing assessments are Adequate -47 and Good Short evaluation about the use of the vehicle depending on route length The prevailing assessments are Adequate -70 and Good Short evaluation about perceived safety while driving (possibility of incurring a traffic accident) The prevailing assessments are Adequate -50 and Insufficient Short evaluation about safety during the execution of loading/inloading, opening/closing, controls, etc. (possibility of injury) The prevailing assessments are Adequate -38 and Good and Excellent Short evaluation about functionality of the vehicle compared to the daily postal delivery The prevailing assessments are Good -38 and Adequate Additional remarks from postmen. Additional comments and suggestions from postmen can be found in final version of Format collection feedback by postmen. Most of them coincide with the results of the analysis. 8 4. SUMMARY OF RESULTS. Summary results of the poll on the individual indicators are shown in the table. VI is incompatible with four levels scale of assessment. The results obtained show an average score 2.39 in the same weight of the 11 indicators. The average score between 2 Sufficient/ Middle/ Adequate/ Bearable and 3 Good/ Discreet/ Low. Opening/closing the doors and Keeping slippery/wet road are most EIE/07/119/SI GREEN POST Pag. 9 / 10
10 difficult for postmen. Improving summer, winter comfort and weather protection are most demanded from postmen. Most positive assessments for Supply/charging operations, Front visibility, Accessibility of hand/foot controls, Effort to operate foot controls Location and easy-command of lights, engine starter, etc. show that Free Duck is designed according to the needs of the postmen.
