Purchase a system with only the features you DO need. Faster delivery than many full line machines. Have a system created that incorporates any combination of roll stand, slitting station and/or nip / pull roll station. Custom control systems that integrates into existing production line controls. Custom framework available for single compact machine if needed. Green Technology Regenerative Drive Option This option is available on driven unwind stands and uses the motor to regenerate power back to the control system thereby saving energy and resources when using a driven unwind with nip or driven unwind with rewind. Retrofit Double Unwind Stand This custom stand was created for a customer who required a retrofitted double unwind stand that incorporated a closed loop tension control with load cell frames. This stand was engineered to bolt onto the customer s existing machine. Unwind Stands Pre-assembled roll stand carries a warranty as a package from one supplier. All components work together for optimal unwind control without the hassle of installing each accessory separately. Simple way to introduce web guiding. Lighter shafts, safer loading. The customer needed a more efficient method for manufacturing a five-layered material. Since the customer already had three individual stands, Double E engineered this stand to replace one of those single unwind stands to give them a total of five unwind sections.

3 ine of Customized Modular R Slitting Stations Custom-built to exact needs and specifications to handle a variety of material types, tolerances, edge quality, and width requirements. Various high-quality Mario Cotta knife holders available. Modular design allows for shear, crush, or razor configurations. Uses patented Expando bottom knives no need to remove shaft from machine to refresh anvil cutting surfaces. Integrated nip section set knife shaft over-speed directly from driven nip. Manual, semi-automatic, or automatic positioning for faster changeovers. Stand-alone Trimming Station Sometimes Double E customers just need a simple slitting solution. This basic standalone trimming station was created for a commercial printer who only needed to split a narrow paper material into two sections. The small station was engineered with light yet strong components that would allow the customer to move the stand out of the way when not in use. Nip / Pull Roll Stations The Double E Company manufactures nip roll stations and pull roll stations that you can use to set tension zones or master line speeds. These stations easily synchronize with any section of the production line to help continue production at an even pace and steady tension. Use of induction motors or servo motors. Siemens motor drivers and controls standard - other options available. Custom touch screen programming available. Adjustable nip pressure and options on nip roll coverings. Accommodate a large range of web widths and materials. Entire infeed with tension control using dancer or load cell. Large Format Nip/Pull Roll Nip / pull roll stations can be an integral part of any converting line and in some applications these stations need to be mobile in order to adapt to line configurations. This particular station was created with the control system mounted directly to the rolling stand which allowed the station to be plugged into the overall system where ever it was needed.

Double Cantilevered Rewind This unique cantilevered rewind stand was developed for a customer that produces a narrow film material. The material needed to be rewound at an even tension while being separated into the finished product and the sacrificed material. Large diameter idler rollers were used to protect the sensitive material.
