Adjustment can be made with an optional handwheel working in tandem with an opposing sliding chuck. Axial carriers on the chuck journals assure precise, safe transmission of movement through the winding shaft. Montalvo's line of SKL Safety Chucks* were designed for easy installation and long service life. 4 IP54 Montalvo T and N Series load cells are IP54 rated. T-Series Idler Shaft Load Cells Used in conjunction with a dead-shaft idler roller. Designed with 360 mechanical stops to protect the sensing beam from damage while maintaining sensitivity and performance. These IP54-rated load cells are extremely durable and have a long service life. Available in two sizes, a variety of load ratings, and three mounting configurations. N-Series Cantilevered Load Cells Montalvo s cantilevered load cells are designed to accurately measure tension on single-side frame machines such as tag and label and business forms presses. They employ dual beam construction, ensuring accurate tension measurement across the width of the web. Available in a 50, 90 or new 120mm diameter roller and in multiple widths, load ranges and mounting styles. SW-Series Compact Load Cells Montalvo SW load cells are suitable for sensing the tension of materials ranging from tissue to board. Work with idler or live roll applications. V-250, V-300, V-400 and V-500 models offer the multiple ranges necessary for virtually any application. They require minimum downtime for installation on existing unwinders and are a snap when it comes to OEM applications. In addition, all V-Series brakes feature integral fan covers for extra heat capacity. HP Series HP-Series Brakes The advanced, compact design of the HP-Series offers high sensitivity, high torque capacity and high performance thermal characteristics (equal to the next larger size in the Standard Series). They are available in 600, 800, 1000, 1400,1700 and 2600 sizes, and feature modular design and interchangeable parts for flexibility, easy mounting and maintenance. STD Series HPS-Series Brakes & Clutches The HPS is the high-performance partner to the HP Series. It is a low-inertia, single disc design that offers advanced performance characteristics. C Series MC Series M-Caliper Series Brakes Montalvo's M-Caliper brakes offer excellent torque and sensitivity characteristics for light to medium-duty applications where high thermal capacity is not a concern (applications include tension control, emergency stop, and position control). M-Calipers feature optional friction discs for easy installation, setup, and maintenance. Wear parts are the same as the HP, HPS, and Standard series. CS-Series Brakes Montalvo CS-Series Brakes are a cost-effective choice for light-duty tension control applications. The CS Brake can be mounted in minutes in most applications. Just slide the assembly onto your keyed shaft, secure it with the anti-rotation pin, set screws, apply air and run. CS-Series single disc brakes are available in both 100 and 130mm sizes. 6 Montalvo enclosures are IP54 rated. DTI-3400ce Dancer Controller with Tension Indication The DTI-3400ce adds a new dimension to web tension control systems that employ a dancer. Dancer control is provided by Montalvo's unique Progressive PID circuitry, which regulates output to the unwind brake and maintains the position of the dancer arm. The signal provided by the load cells is displayed on the analog meter and is used for setting and monitoring actual web tension. New features include: Transferable memory card, RS-232 interface to computer or PLC and on board DeviceNet, Profibus DP, CANopen and Modbus fieldbus connections. D-3400ce Dancer Controller The Montalvo D-3400ce dancer controller was developed for unwind applications that employ a dancer arm. It is useful in the processing of imperfect rolls or in applications that experience dramatic tension variations. The Progressive PID regulator offers wide regulating range as well as electronic dampening of the dancer to ensure accuracy. New features include: Transferable memory card, RS-232 interface to computer or PLC and on board DeviceNet, Profibus DP, CANopen and Modbus fieldbus connections. X-3400 Tension Controller Together with the D-3400ce and the DTI-3400ce, the X-3400ce web tension controller is Montalvo's new and improved top-of-the-line family of analog controllers with digital parameter handling. The X-3400ce was developed to provide accurate, repeatable tension control on all types of web processing machinery. It may be used in unwind, intermediate or rewind applications with input signals from any of Montalvo's semi-conductor strain gauge load cells. It is fast, precise, easy to use, and loaded with features that include nonvolatile memory for storage of control parameters for up to 15 materials, semi-automatic calibration and control tuning, and "bumpless" transfer between auto and manual. I-3300ce Tension Indicator Web tension indiction for use with Montalvo SW Series foil gauge load cells. Available in total tension and dual range configurations. I-3200ce Tension Indicator Where web tension indication is required, the I-3200ce is used in conjunction with Montalvo T, N and UPB Series semi-conductor strain gauge load cells.
