2 Vacuum-assisted pumps Technical Handbook p.2 General description The is a line of centrifugal vacuum assisted pumps with open blades impeller for large solids passage. The volumetric vacuum pump has great capacity and makes the pump able to prime even at great depth or with very long hoses. These pumps are designed both for wellpointing, sewage and effluents. The pump primes dry (dry-prime) and can work also in dry conditions (dry run) for an indefinite time. These features make this line of pumps particularly suitable to be used by anyone and in any condition. Diesel-driven pump on trailer Electric-driven pump on trailer Advantages - High efficiency oil lubricated vacuum pump with oil recovery circuit for low oil consumption and no pollution. - Easy replaceable rear wear plate fixed by external stainless steel screws. - Tungsten carbide mechanical seal with long life lubrication. The pump can run dry indefinitely. - Large air separator suitable for the suction of small or large air quantities. Uses The pumps can be used for: dewatering, wellpoint, sock drain, direct pumping as well as for sewage, effluents and liquids with solids in suspension. The impeller is easily accessible thanks to the large dimensions of the separation chamber. Construction All the mechanical parts are in highly resistant cast iron. The shaft is in steel or, upon request, in stainless steel. The mechanical seal is in tungsten carbide. The impeller is of open type with 2 or 3 blades for a large solids passage. The wear plates are in cast iron, with stainless steel screws. All the screws are in stainless steel.
