5 5 / 26 1 Summary of test results Photovoltaic module qualification according to EN IEC 61215: 2005 and Resistance to wind load DIN EN and DIN EN Manufacturer : Apollon Solar s.a.s rue de la Clef Paris France Module types : NICE 80 (framed) Basis of testing : In accordance to EN IEC 61215: 2005 Crystalline silicon terrestrial photovoltaic (PV) modules Design qualification and type approval Resistance to wind load DIN EN and DIN EN By an arrangement between TÜV and Apollon Solar the test procedure according to Resistance to wind load DIN EN and DIN EN was determined for testing at TÜV. To check for adverse effects before and after dynamic mechanical load, performance and electroluminescence measurement were executed. 6 6 / 26 2 Setting of tasks According to the inquiry, a dynamic mechanical load testing, performance and electroluminescence measurement of a crystalline photovoltaic (PV) module shall be performed in accordance with the following standards: IEC 61215:2005 Crystalline silicon terrestrial photovoltaic (PV) modules 2nd Edition Design qualification and type approval DIN EN and DIN EN 12211l Resistance to wind load The tests should be performed in a way; that before and after the dynamic mechanical load test diagnostic measurements (performance and electroluminescence) should be done. 3 Basis of Testing Basis of testing is EN IEC 61215:2005 Terrestrial silicon photovoltaic (PV) modules - Design qualification and type approval, DIN EN and DIN EN 12211:2003 Windows and doors Resistance to wind load Classification as well as all standards that also apply.

17 17 / 26 9 General remarks - Electrical performance rating is outside the scope of EN IEC 61215:2005 qualification testing. The results of performance rating are only related to the test samples that were subjected to the tests. They cannot be generalised to the modules from the series production. - Relative measurements where performed with a flash type solar simulator 10 Measurement results PV module type: NICE 80 By testing NICE 80 (no laminated module module connections made by depression) no breakage or destruction of the module construction or frame occurred. Electroluminescence measurement showed after second Dynamic mechanical load test cell defects contact finger interruptions were added. After second Dynamic mechanical load test the Performance test showed a current break-in, but for IEC qualification the change is within the tolerance no failure.
