4 Bauporte History Bauporte was founded in 1992 and in 1999 it took over Grothkarst, a German company that had been developing and constructing high-quality doors since Karel E. Bouman, the current Owner and Director, with a wealth of experience in the door and entrance industry, correctly identified a gap in the market for a supplier of custom-made rather than mass-produced doors and Bauporte was born. Strength and beauty Stainless steel is used for the internal framework of Bauporte doors, guaranteeing the maximum design life. This framework can be clad and finished to the customer s requirements with stainless steel, aluminium, brass or even copper. Glass also plays an important role in completing the construction but can also be used to enhance the appearance with effects such as one-piece glass roofs, coloured interlayers, fritting, and integrated colour-changing LED lighting strips. Remote diagnostics An optional remote diagnostic service is available on all Bauporte automatic doors; helping save money on repairs and maintenance and minimising any down-time should a problem occur. With this option, the doors are linked via a modem and telephone line, allowing Bauporte to remotely diagnose or adjust the door operation if necessary. 9 Bauporte Revolving Doors offer an unlimited range of variations and defy convention. Revolving Doors We specialise and excel in very tall revolving doors and can provide models with rotating doorsets over 7000mm high. Offering all the traditional benefits of energy efficiency and draught prevention, our custom made doors are all available with 2, 3 or 4 door wings. Enlarging the diameter and providing fully automatic operation increases the capacity and provides access for larger items such as suitcases and wheelchairs. Doors with diameters over 3400mm are equipped with folding door wings as standard, allowing them to be used as emergency escape doors. Revolving Doors

10 Full Vision Revolving Doors THE BAUPORTE VISION Full Vision revolving doors from Bauporte feature all-glass construction with glass roofs and are available as Circular or Royal versions depending on diameter. All-glass, bespoke revolving doors for an impressive entrance with timeless design Circular Full Vision revolving doors are available with diameters of up to 3100mm, with manual or automatic operation. Drive units for automatic versions are concealed in the floor under the entrance matting or can be installed on the ceiling of a basement below. Royal Full Vision revolving doors are available with diameters of over 3100mm, with automatic operation. All versions are available in custom dimensions and have the option of curved sliding doors to close off the opening at night if required. 12 Prestige Revolving Doors THE BAUPORTE VISION Prestige revolving doors have a more conventional construction than the Full Vision, with either glazed or solid curved drum walls and a solid canopy. Energy efficient revolving doors that can be customised to suit any design Circular Prestige revolving doors are available with diameters of up to 3100mm, with manual or automatic operation. Royal Prestige revolving doors are available with diameters of over 3100mm, with automatic operation. All automatic doors can be activated by radars, card readers or push-buttons as required. 18 THE BAUPORTE VISION Automatic pivot doors, ideal for windy conditions Configurations: Elegance Automatic Balance Doors Elegance Automatic Balance Doors, also known as pivot doors, provide simple convenient access, with drive units mounted on the header, in-ground or even on the ceiling of a basement below the door. Single door wing Double door wing Multiple door wing Heavy duty drive units are available and door leaves are framed with stainless steel, aluminium or custom metal or, alternatively, full-glass construction. Fire- and smoke-resistant and reinforced versions are all available. The balance door principle is ideally suited to wide entrances where severe or uneven wind loadings are experienced. 19 Elegance Automatic Folding/Stacking Doors Bauporte has developed a folding/stacking entrance door system specifically for department stores and shopping centres. Unique multi-functional entrance system adapts to weather conditions This multi-functional type of entrance consists of 180 degree, manual or automatic swing doors, with overhead heaters, which can be moved to the side and stacked out of the way. The door leaves can be stowed manually or automatically. The advantage of this folding / sliding entrance under various weather conditions: In poor weather conditions, the swing doors are used for entry/exit. Linking the heaters and the self-closing doors, minimise draughts while allowing free passage. In average weather conditions, the door leaves can be opened and locked in the 90 position (either manually or electro-mechanically). Free passage from inside to outside the building, and vice versa is possible. Use of the entrance heaters is optional. In good weather conditions the door leaves are opened and stacked to the sides to create a completely open entrance with unrestricted access. Use of the entrance heaters is optional. Automatic Doors
