1 Maybank QRPay October Promotional Campaign Terms & Conditions Maybank QRPay October Promotional Campaign ( Campaign ) is organised by Malayan Banking Berhad (3813-K) ( Maybank ) and shall be subject to the Terms and Conditions herein. By participating in this Campaign, the Eligible Participants (as defined in Clause 1 below) hereby expressly agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and any decisions made by Maybank in respect of the Campaign shall be final and binding. 1.0 Eligibility a) This Campaign is open to all account holders of Maybank or Maybank Islamic savings or current account(s) who have an active Maybank2u (M2U) registered account and are registered to utilise Maybank QRPay (QRPay), which is an electronic payments platform utilising Quick Response (QR) codes included as a functionality of the Maybank2U app. b) The eligibility of users for QRPay is governed by the Terms and Conditions of that product, with eligibility for usage of QRPay being the primary prerequisite for eligibility in the Campaign c) This Campaign is open for individuals who are eighteen (18) years of age and above with valid identification document. d) This Campaign is open to all valid users of the Maybank QRPay. (All individual customers who have fulfiiled the above criteria will hereinafter referred to as the Eligible Participants ) e) Employees of Maybank and its group of companies are eligbile to participate in this Campaign except for employees of Maybank2u, Virtual Banking & Payments, advertising and promotions agencies who are directly involved in the promotion of the Campaign as well as their immediate family members. 2.0 Campaign Mechanics and Conditions a) This Campaign commences on 5 th October 2018 and ends on the 5 th November 2018 ( Campaign Period ). b) During the Campaign Period, Maybank shall enable and facilitate the provision of a 31% discount, capped at a maximum aggregate discount of RM10.00 per transaction, off purchases at selected merchants at their designated premises/outlet(s) as listed in Appendix I ( Merchants ). c) By inputting the promo code QRPay during the QRPay payment process in the field Promo Code, Eligible Participants will receive the discount described in (b) above off the retail price of their purchase at the Merchants, subject always to the provisions herein. d) The QRPay Promo Code shall be valid for the first 19,600 uses only during the Campaign Period; e) Each Eligible Participant shall only be entitled to use an aggregate maximum total of three (3) promo codes during the Campaign Period, after which time any further attempt to use such promo code will not result in receipt of such discount. In the case where a transaction is processed with the provision of such discount per (b) above and such transaction occurs with a merchant not listed in Appendix

2 I herein for any reason whatsoever, non-exhaustively including undisclosed or undiscovered technical failure, regardless of whether such transaction was made inadvertently or maliciously, Maybank reserves the right to immediately freeze the Eligible Participant s account for the invalid amount pending investigation, with written notice and explanation of such action being issued to the Eligible Participant within seven (7) working days of it occurring. f) General Terms & Conditions a) Maybank shall not be responsible or held liable in any manner whatsoever in respect of technical failures of any kind whatsoever, intervention, interruptions and/or electronic or human error in the administration and/or processing of the transaction performed via QRPay, Maybank2u, and/or the determination of the participants eligibility for the Reward. b) Maybank reserves the right to amend, shorten, cancel, suspend or terminate this Campaign or any part thereof with seven (7) days written notice. Such notice may be published by Maybank via Maybank2u website ( and/or through any other mode of communication as determined in the absolute discretion of Maybank. It shall be the responsibility of Eligible Participants to be informed of or otherwise seek out any such notice validly posted. a. Notwithstanding the above, Maybank may without prior notice during the Campaign Period amend Appendix I to reflect additional Merchants being included in the Campaign after the commencement thereof. c) For the avoidance of doubt, the amendment, shortening, cancellation, suspension or termination of this Campaign by Maybank shall not entitle the Eligible Participants or any other persons whatsoever to any claim or compensation against Maybank for any losses or damages suffered or incurred as a direct or indirect result of the such amendment, shortening, cancellation, suspension or termination. d) Maybank shall not be liable for any losses, damages or costs incurred or suffered by any customer as a result of the customer participating in this Campaign. Furthermore, Maybank shall not be liable for any default of its obligations under the Campaign due to any force majeure event which includes but not limited to act of God, war, riot, lockout, industrial action, fire, flood, drought, storm or any event beyond the reasonable control of Maybank. e) The terms and conditions stated herein shall be governed by the Laws of Malaysia and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Malaysia. f) Maybank is entitled to, at its discretion, disqualify/reject any Eligible Participant who does not comply with the terms and conditions stated herein and/or are found or suspected to be tampering with the Campaign and/or its process or the operations of this Campaign. Tampering shall include fraudulent activities involving any act of deceit and/or deception and/or cheating with regards to the Campaign. g) Any variation of any of the terms and conditions stated herein shall be binding on the participants and be deemed to be brought to their attention through any notice displayed at the Maybank2u website. It shall be the responsibility of all Eligible Participants to maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of any such validly made variations to these terms and conditions.

3 h) Eligible Participants also agree and consent to their information or details (including without limitation personal data or information) being processed and used by Maybank for: i. the purposes of the Campaign; ii. marketing and promotional activities conducted in such manner as Maybank deems fit in any media, including but not limited to any form of advertising or publicity media and materials such as audio and/or visual recordings published through newspapers, television networks, radio stations or online and digital media and on the Internet, without further express consent from the Eligible Participant. Marketing and promotion activities include without limitation the use and/or publication of any details provided in and/or in connection to the entries, interviews material as well responses and related photographs. In this regard, each Eligible Participant agrees to co-operate and participate without further express consent and/or payment or consideration, in all reasonable advertising and publicity activities of Maybank in relation to the Campaign; and iii. other promotional, marketing and publicity notification/information including future promotional, marketing and publicity notification/information from Maybank from time to time. i) For information, enquiries, feedback and/or complaints related to the Campaign, please contact Maybank's Customer Care hotline at or Alternatively for feedback and/or complaints, the Eligible Participants may choose to Maybank via the feedback form at Maybank2u website (
