1 3 October 2011 Dear Player, 2011 WORLD BILLIARDS CHAMPIONSHIP in association with EBOS and The Northern Snooker Centre, Leeds October 2011 I am pleased to enclose your personal copy of the Group Draw and Playing Schedule for the First Group Stages, which will be played over Monday 24 th and Tuesday 25 th October You should familiarize yourself with your own match schedule, to ensure you report to the Tournament Director not less than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled match start time. You should note however that due to the format of this years event, previous matches scheduled for your allotted table may in some circumstances still be ongoing, and if this is the case you will be required to wait until the Tournament Director calls you to your table. If this is the case, you will be required to wait at the venue. There will be a minimum break of 30 minutes between the conclusion of one match and the start of another at all times. Your are reminded that that the following penalties will apply if you are not at your allotted match table when required for the start of your match: Upto 5 minutes late Opponent starts on +100 points. Between 5 and 10 minutes late Opponent starts on +200 points. Over 10 minutes late Match awarded to Opponent 500 points to Nil. The above will be strictly enforced, and the Tournament Director s decision is Final in all cases. If any player is late for a match more than once during the tournament then they will be disqualified. COMPETING PLAYERS All competing Players will be bound by the WPBSA rules of conduct for the duration of the tournament, and Players are strongly advised to familiarize themselves with these in full. Any breach of these rules for whatever reason will be referred to the WPBSA s Integrity Unit for consideration and determination. DRESS CODE All players are reminded of their obligations in terms of dress code, which should be adhered to at all times whilst playing. Specifically, this relates to long sleeved shirts, waistcoat, dark trousers, shoes, and bow tie. Players will only be exempt from wearing a bow tie following the provision of an upto date Doctor s Certificate to the WPBSA or the Tournament Director prior to their first scheduled match. Any logo s that are worn on Players waistcoats must receive prior approval from the WPBSA. Country flags or National Association Logo s are permitted to be worn, providing they meet the size limits required of Logo s generally. WITHDRAWALS Your attention is drawn to Section II K3 of the WPBSA Rules Handbook relating to withdrawals. This will be strictly enforced. Please be aware that in the event of a withdrawal there will be no refund of entry fees.

No changes will be made to this playing schedule under any circumstances, except in exceptional circumstances approved by the Tournament Director, Clive Scott. Note 1 Note 2 - The Qualifier s from the 1 st Preliminary Stage will be seeded into the 2 nd Group Stage based upon their record in the 1 st Preliminary Stage, in the following order: 1) Number of wins, with the higher number taking precedence. 2) The Player s Positive Aggregate difference, with the greater number taking precedence. 3) Where Groups contain 5 Players, the number of wins and aggregate difference will each be multiplied by 0.8 to provide for an average, used to compare with that of Groups containing 4 players. 3) Where players cannot be split using the above method, they will be free drawn to determine their seeding for the 2 nd Group Stage. The 2 nd Stage Groups will be made up as follows: Group A Seeds 1, 8, 9 and 16. Group B Seeds 2, 7, 10 and 15. Group C Seeds 3, 6, 11 and 14. Group D Seeds 4, 5, 12 and 13.
