Overall length of door shaft = mm. Overall width of door curtain = mm. Opening height required. = mm Floor to centre of the Door Shaft. = mm page 2

5 Motor Support Bracket ( RHS Bracket ) INSTALLATION PROCEDURES 1 Place the two support brackets in place approx. 20 mm from the edge of the door curtain. Pulley No 5 ( Cross-over Pulley ) Wall Fixing Pulley No 8 2 Fix the brackets to the wall and clamp them to the door shaft using the "U" bolts supplied. 3 Place the motor in the RHS Motorhead Support Bracket and secure the extrusion to the LHS Anchor Bracket. 4 Slide the "Slave Traveller" into the extrusion. NOTE:- The "Slave Traveller" does not have a worm-nut as it is used only as a stabilising support Door "U" Bolt Pulley No 7 Front Rope Bottom Pulley Bracket Pulley No 6 Lintel Back Rope VIEW FROM RIGHT HAND SIDE Pulley No 4 Pulley No 1 Extrusion Support Bracket ( LHS Bracket ) Back Rope Bottom Pulley Bracket Pulley No 2 Front Rope Pulley No 3 for the "T", ( i.e. "Towing" ), Bracket. 5 Insert the "Eye" Bolt through the "T" Bracket as shown. 6 Establish the positions for the two Bottom Pulley Brackets, ( Pulleys Nos. 3 & 6 ). Drill the holes for the fixing screws. 7 Anchor the two Bottom Pulley Brackets in place. 8 Reeve the wire rope around the pulleys in the order shown, i.e. Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 and back to the "T" Bracket. 6 Back Rope ( Closest to Wall ) Front Rope Door Towing Bracket ( RHS shown ) Bottom Rail of Door Fix the Door Towing Brackets to the Bottom Rail of the door. Use the wood packing blocks if necessary. Bottom Pulley Wheel fixed to floor 9 Pull the wire rope gently by hand until the slack is taken up. Secure the rope in place using the "Rope Clamp" supplied. 10 Make the final tension adjustments using the "Tensioning Nut" on the "Eye Bolt". Tighten the nut until the rope has a tension of approx. 10 kgs. BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVER- TENSION THE WIRE ROPE. 11 Attach the two "Door Towing Arm Brackets" to the bottom rail of the door. If the door does not have a sturdy bottom rail, use the plastic ( or timber ) packing blocks supplied to space the Towing Arms away from the door channels. 12 Disengage the "Driving Traveller" from t h e w o r m - s h a f t b y p u l l i n g t h e "Emergency Release Cord" which is attached to the "Traveller Lever" 13 Move the two travellers and "T" bracket assembly to the "door closed" position, i.e. to the LHS. Now... Set the "down" travel limit switch in place. 14 Close the door. 15 Clamp the "Door Towing Arms" to the "forward" ropes as shown. 16 Raise the door to the "full open" position. Set the "up" travel limit switch in place. 17 Test the operation of the door. Be sure to check the "safety reverse" feature of the operator. If the door is obstructed during it's working cycle, the door operator must respond as follows :- whilst closing... ( Place a 40 mm thick plank or piece of square tubing under the centre of the door. ) The door must stop and reverse direction within 2 sec after making contact with the obstruction. whilst opening... the door must stop! It should remain stationary until a new command is transmitted to the operator. page 5
