2 LED lighting with radiant possibilities Radiant is carefully crafted for big performance without a big presence. The housing form is uniquely contemporary - a straight, strong, sculpted body with gentle curves on the side and top to soften the mass and add subtle architectural detail. Stainless steel rods strengthen the housing structure, and metallic screens prevent the buildup of contaminants and permit airflow to cool the LED components. Even with this advanced thermal management, Radiant maintains a UL Wet Location listing. An integral die cast aluminum arm allows an effortless transition from pole to luminaire, making it a natural fit in any setting, and the two size options 29 and 39 inches long make Radiant ideal for a range of applications. 2

With Radiant Generation 2, Philips Gardco raises the bar by adding additional wattages to suit more applications, all with Class 1 LED systems and enhanced optical performance, while substantially minimizing costs and reducing housing size. In fact, with the advancements in LED technology offered in the Radiant Generation 2, we are now able to achieve the performance of the Generation 1 Radiant with half the number of LEDs. Therefore, what took 2 LED boards in the 46" Generation 1 housing is now possible with the 29" reduced size Generation 2 small housing. The larger housing has also been reduced, down to 39", but don't let the smaller sizes fool you. The Radiant can achieve lumen packages well exceeding 20,000 lumens in the 260 watt light array, bringing with it performance that meets or exceed current 400 watt HID luminaires. Adding to the Radiant's versatility, a dedicated housing designed to cleanly accept a mast arm is now available. This configuration gives the luminaire a sleek and natural appearance in davit arm applications. With great looks, bright light, advanced thermal management and a long life, Radiant reduces environmental impact while saving big on energy expenses the ultimate bright idea. 3

Available in four distinct full cutoff distribution patterns, these optical systems incorporate state-of-the-art LEDs, each individually aimed through a unique prismatic optical system, providing precise aiming and excellent light quality. Radiant can be specified with one or two LED arrays, depending on the desired light levels. Specifiers also have a choice between two tiers of LEDs. For general applications, the standard LED version will do a remarkable job while keeping initial costs down. For those applications where performance is the primary criteria, Radiant is available with Premium Performance LEDs. Utilizing these advanced LEDs, it is now possible to meet or exceed 400 watt HID performance, while using 40-60% less energy. 5 Below are two typical scenarios showing the Radiant against a 250 and 400 watt pulse start metal halide lamp. The first example uses 120' x 120' spacing with a 25' mounting height and clearly demonstrates how a 130LA can outperform a 250 watt pulse start metal halide lamp and provide more than 50% in energy savings. Notice the smoother, cleaner isoline pattern with Radiant, which provides improved site uniformity. 6 Designed to satisfy, engineered to impress Even with its low-profile design, Radiant was thoughtfully engineered to keep all components cool and manage heat thoroughly, providing a long-lasting LED solution that maximizes return on investment. Seamless Transitions There are no visible transitions between components, ensuring that Radiant remains refined and satisfying from every viewing angle. Even the mounting arm is integral, allowing a seamless transition from luminaire to pole. Multiple configurations to optimize energy savings When compared to most HID systems, LED luminaires already save a great deal of energy. But why stop there? The Philips Gardco Radiant is also available with dimming and motion sensing options that can save up to an additional 50% on top of the already great energy savings LED luminaires provide. Automatic Profile Dimming The Radiant with Automatic Profile Dimming (RL-APD) provides guaranteed savings by reducing power and light output by 50% during periods of low traffic. By calculating the night-time midpoint, power is reduced by 50% during the two hours prior to and the six hours after. This results in additional energy savings of 33% on average. Motion Response with Integral Motion Sensor The Radiant with Motion Response (RL-MRI) provides light only when it's needed, reducing power by 50% when the site is not in use. Once motion is detected, the luminaire switches to full light output until no motion is detected for a 15 minute period. The duration and sensitivity of the motion sensor are easily adjusted in the field. Available with the single LED array luminaires only. 6 Automatic Profile Dimming with Motion Response Override and Integral Motion Sensor The Radiant with Automatic Profile Dimming with Motion Response Override (RL-APD-MRI) provides the benefits of both configurations. As with the APD version, power and light output are reduced by 50% during the two hours prior and the six hours after the midpoint. However, if motion is detected during this time, the luminaire increases light output and power to 100%, until no motion is detected for a 15 minute period. This provides the savings of automatic profile dimming with the assurance that motion response will provide the required light levels should someone be on the site during a normally low traffic period. Available with the single LED array luminaires only.

Added Strength Lateral stainless steel rods run the length of the housing to provide strength and rigidity while unifying the housing structure. Long-Lasting Finishes The finish is a fade- and abrasion-resistant, electrostatically applied, thermally cured TGIC powdercoat. Radiant housings are thoroughly cleaned and treated prior to paint application. Several standard colors and more than 200 optional colors are available. 10 Radiant Specifications GENERAL: Philips Gardco Radiant LED area luminaires combine LED performance excellence and advanced Gardco LED thermal management technology with a distinctly contemporary architectural style to provide outdoor area lighting that is both energy efficient and aesthetically pleasing. HOUSING: The Philips Gardco Radiant LED housing consists of a die cast aluminum arm adapter, an extruded aluminum housing body with an integral LED radiant thermal management system, and a die cast aluminum end cap. The structure is secured with lateral threaded stainless steel rods running the length of the housing to provide rigidity and unify the housing structure. Metallic screens are integrated to the top of the housing to prevent the buildup of dust, dirt and contaminants, while permitting required air flow for cooling. OPTICAL SYSTEMS: Lensed LED arrays are set to achieve IES Type II, Type III, Type IV and Type V distributions. Individual LED arrays are replaceable. ELECTRICAL: Luminaires are equipped with an LED driver that accepts 120V through 277V, or 347V through 480V, 50hz to 60hz, input. Driver output is based on the LED wattage selected. Component-to-component wiring within the luminaire will carry no more than 80% of rated current and is listed by UL for use at 600 VAC at 302 F/150 C or higher. Plug disconnects are listed by UL for use at 600 VAC, 15A or higher. LED THERMAL MANAGEMENT: The Gardco Radiant LED housing design provides extruded aluminum integral thermal radiation fins in the upper housing, combined with lateral air ways, to provide the excellent thermal management so critical to long LED system life. Metallic screens are integrated to the top of the housing to prevent the buildup of dust, dirt and contaminants, while permitting required air flow for cooling. APD CONFIGURATIONS: Luminaires with Automatic Profile Dimming (RL-APD/RL-APD-MRI) are provided with the Philips DynaDimmer module in single LED array luminaires, or with programmable LED drivers in dual LED array luminaires. The DynaDimmer module or programmable driver is programmed to operate at 50% power/50% light output two (2) hours prior to the night time mid-point and remain at 50% for six (6) hours after the night time mid-point. Mid-point is continuously recalculated by the DynaDimmer module based on the average mid-point of the last two full night cycles. Short duration cycles, and power interruptions are ignored and do not affect the determination of mid-point. MOTION RESPONSE CONFIGURATIONS: MRI: RL-MRI Luminaires include the DynaDimmer module and an integral motion sensor. Luminaires operate at 50% power and light output until motion is detected, whereby the DynaDimmer takes the luminaire to 100% power and light output. The luminaire remains on high until no motion is detected for the set duration period, after which the luminaire returns to 50%. Duration period is factory set at 15 minutes. APD-MRI: Luminaires combine the benefits of both automatic profile dimming and motion response. The luminaire will dim to 50% power, 50% light output, per the APD dimming profile. If motion is detected while the luminaire is operating at 50%, the luminaire returns to 100% power and light output. The luminaire remains on high until no motion is detected for the duration period, after which the luminaire returns to low. Duration period is factory set at 15 minutes. MRI and APD-MRI luminaires are provided with the WattStopper FS-355-L3W motion sensor, with a maximum recommended 20 ft. mounting height. The area coverage and range of the integral sensors make them most suitable for applications not requiring long range detection. MRI and APD- MRI are available with the single LED array luminaires only. FINISH: Each standard color luminaire receives a fade and abrasion resistant, electrostatically applied, thermally cured, triglycidal isocyanurate (TGIC) textured polyester powdercoat finish. Standard colors include bronze (BRP), black (BLP), white (WP), and natural aluminum (NP). Consult factory for specs on optional or custom colors.
