According to your needs we determine which coating(s) serves you best. i) The Traditional : Chromium carbide having a high chromium concentration specially formulated for us and which has proven its efficiency over the years. ii) Tungsten Carbide : Type 1 having 12% tungsten concentration Type 2 having 55% tungsten concentration Type 3 having 65% tungsten concentration For every type of coating we apply a specific thickness in order to obtain the maximum carbide concentration and minimum cracking. iii) Surface Treatment : Application of a high abrasive resistant ceramic (we are one among few in Quebec to be certified by the manufacturer)

3 B) Core and Flight Configuration : - For every screw we inspect, we correct, if needed, the run out and attrition in order to balance the flow- thru. - We give each flight a positive thrust to improve efficiency and useful life. C) Prevention : - No matter what is done, manufacturing or rebuilding, every screw is subject to a meticulous exam where every square centimeter is visually inspected and a dye penetrating test is performed to detect any sign of potential cracking. D) Service : - We have the expertise to dismantle and to reassemble your complete press. Furthermore, we do have in stock a wide variety of spare parts. 10 SUB s Maxi-Flow Backing shell No. 4 for Thune s screw press 10% d obstruction 50% d obstruction SUB s Maxi-Flow backing shell No. 4 was designed to clear the perforated plate at its maximum. Sub s Maxi-Flow backing shell No. 4 allows drainage over 90% of the surface of the perforated plate as compared to 50% of the surface for Thune s backing shell.

11 Screen plates for backing shell type Optimum (AFT) SUB AFT - The SUB screen plate is strengthened along the 2 running axes to prevent premature warping. - The interior part of SUB screen plate is one piece. It eliminates the risk of unfastening and yields to a more precise jointing (no flatted ends). - The holes of the SUB screen plate are conical therefore lessening the risk of clogging and improving drainage performance.
