KITZ CESTEC -Series 1 Transportation 3 Pipework Cautions for Transportation Caution Pay special attention to carboar packing, if use. The package may suffer a loss of integrity from moisture etc. an amage the prouct. 3-1 Cautions on Pipework Warning When working in high places, pay special attention to safety such as preventing a person from going unerneath. 1-2 Transportation Please maintain the package/packing style at elivery as it is when moving or transporting the valves to pipework site. Do not throw, rop, rag, or roll etc. as this will apply shock to the valve. 2 Storage 2-1 Cautions for Storage Caution Do not store in the corrosive gas atmosphere. The corrosion will occur from the threa an amage the function. Do not rop, upset, vibrate, or apply heavy loas uring storage. The valve function may be affecte. Do not pile up for storing. oa collapse may occur to cause human injury an prouct amage. Caution Do not isassemble the valve when fitting to the pipework. Never use a pipe wrench on the valve. Please use a proper tool such as a spanner. At fitting on the pipework, o not apply torque in the irection of loosening the connecting threa of boy an cap. (left turn) It will cause leakage at the connection. Apply a lubricant to the threa of glan nut suitable for temperature an environment etc. for use. For mounting an removing a valve, be sure to use a spanner on hexagonal collar at the near sie to pipework. If a spanner is use on the far sie collar, it may cause the leakage from valve main unit. In the case of a neele valve, the misection may be ajuste for mounting an removing. Avoi applying a bening moment from the pipework to the valve at installation. If an excessive bening moment is applie, the valve boy may be eforme an cause leakage at the connection. 7

KITZ CESTEC -Series 3 Pipework-2 4 Regular Checks 3-2 Please check the following items before mounting a valve to the pipework. The flui pressure an valve specification are matching. Proper tube size, material, an thickness are use. No amage on the valve an fitting portion. No missing parts. Remove usts an scales etc. in the pipework before connecting a valve. Do not throw, rop, rag, or roll etc. to apply shock to a valve. Remove the protector for the valve immeiately before mounting on the pipework. For etaile instructions on threa cutting an en machining, etc., please contact our company. Attach the glan nut an collar on the tube. Thoroughly screw in the collar until one or two threa can be seen at the tip of tube. (Ref. Fig.1) Collar 1 or 2 threa Insert the tube in the valve boy, an fasten the glan nut as tight as possible with your fingers. Use a torque wrench an re-tighten to the specifie torque. Please refer to the table below for stanar torques. After mounting on the pipework, be sure to fully open all the valves in the pipe line, an remove the foreign matters by flushing. Never operate a valve for open/close uring flushing. If you want to isassemble the joint after having connecte the pipe once an re-connect to the pipework again, paint a pair of match marks using a marking pen (Ref. thick lines in Fig. 2) to inicate the position of glan nut before loosening. Check the secure re-tightening to the match marks at re-assembly. 4-1 Maintenance Inspections If a piping installation with mounte valves is opene for a maintenance inspection, the check on valve seats an external leakage an on operation shall be conucte as necessity. If any sign of malfunctioning on valve seats, external leakage etc. is foun, conuct an overhaul inspection, an the valve has to pass this inspection. 4-2 Cautions at removing from an mounting to pipework Warning When removing a valve from pipework, be sure to rain the liqui an return to the atmospheric pressure. A ball valve may have some seale pressure or flui uner fully close status. Be sure to half open the valve to release pressure an flui before removing a valve. If the flui insie the pipework is toxic, inflammable or corrosive, please completely remove such flui from insie the pipework an valves. Be careful enough uring work to prevent the flui from contacting your boy, or catching fire. When working in high places, pay special attention to safety such as preventing a person from going unerneath, etc. Caution Wear protective goos such as safety glasses, safety gloves, safety shoes, etc. Secure a necessary foothol for working for removing an mounting a valve. For mounting an removing a valve, be sure to use a spanner on the hexagonal collar at the near sie to pipework. If a far sie collar or boy barrel is use, it may cause the leakage from main unit.
