1 Instructions to fit the Snorkel Kit S018 Mazda BT on Airflow Vector Pty Ltd 4 Collins Rd, Dromana VIC Introduction Airflow Vector Pty Ltd thanks you for your purchase and the trust you put in our products. It should improve the power of your vehicle as well as reduce its fuel consumption. 1.1 General instructions Follow carefully the instructions listed on these pages and use the template provided, do not over tighten bolts. Do not use silicone on any connections, use mastic. Ensure that safe work practices are followed when installing your Airflow Snorkel. Protective ear and eye wear should be worn at all times when using power tools. 1.2 Disclaimer It is highly recommended that installation is undertaken by a qualified mechanic or panel beater. Airflow Vector will not be held responsible for any damage incurred through incorrect fitment of the templates and workmanship. It is the responsibility of the fitter to ensure that particular care is taken when assembling the Snorkel kit to the vehicle as it may cause damage to the windscreen and or electrical components. Safe work practices must be used at all times when undergoing installation. We guarantee Airflow Vector s kits against manufacturing defects as long as proof of purchase can be established. All models produced by Airflow Vector are verified to suit right hand drive vehicles according to Australian specifications. Variations in vehicle specifications may occur in other markets. 2 2.0 List of Components Ensure that all parts listed are included in the parcel before starting any work The total expected time of installation is around 2 hours.

3 2.1 List of tools and additional parts required Masking tape, Clear tape, Mastic or Polyurethane, NOT SILICON Hammer, Centre punch, scissors. Assorted screw drivers, Spanner set 100 mm hole saw Assorted drill set, Drill, Die grinder Wet / dry sand paper ½ round file, Small square file Zinc rich primer 3.0 Detailed Instructions 1.0 Remove the air cleaner 1.1Remove inner guard body plugs. 1.2 Remove inner wheel arch guard. 1.3 Remove and discard. 4 1.4 Cut out template carefully. Fit it to the guard. Line it up to the true points. 1.5 Centre punch all the marked holes, after covering the area with masking that is to be drilled. 1.6 Drill pilot holes approximately 5 to 6 mm. Then drill out the fixing holes to 11mm 1.7 Using 100mm hole saw at slow speed. 1.8 De- burr all drilled surfaces 1.9 Paint the exposed area's

5 2.0 Using thread lock install the Studs. Trial fit the snorkel body to the vehicle. Adjust the hole as necessary bed down. NOTE studs in 3 locations( see arrow) and bolts in the others 2.1 Install the A pillar bracket on the to upper hole, finger tight. Place making tape over the area to be marked 2.2 Trail fit the snorkel. Fix the snorkel to the guard at a few points. Position the A pillar bracket to meet up with the A pillar. Mark with a pencil. 6 2.3 Take off the A pillar bracket and use it to mark the position of the holes. Centre punch the two positions. 2.4 Dill pilot holes 3-4mm, then drill out to 7mm. Make sure not to push too hard when drilling. To avoid damage to the A pillar. 2.5 Using a small square or triangle file square up the hole. So that the nylon plugs can be tapped in. Paint the exposed area before installing the plugs. 2.6 Screw the the A pillar bracket NOTE: DO NOT use any SILICON BASE SEALANT. Apply mastic to all mating surface. 2.7 Mark cut out with SP351. Measuring from the fire wall side / closest to the cabin a hole 115 wide x 100mm. Using a die grinder cut out the oval shape. Trail fit SP351 to allow it to pass through. De-burr & paint 2.8 SP232 elbow fits outside the snorkel out let. SP351 fits to the inner guard with two bolts. Trail fit. Then apply butal Mastic to the mating plastic parts. Note there are two hose clamps. One to the snorkel and one to joint the parts.

7 2.9 Fit the snorkel body. After fitting the UB SP232 first to the snorkel outlet & the hose clamp is in a position you can tighten it later. Fix the A pillar bracket first, them the main body to the guard. 3.0 Reinstall the air cleaner. Fit SP 351 to SP232 that is already in position, but not tightened before bolting in the air cleaner. Then put 2 self tap screws to connect the air cleaner & SP351. Reinstall wheel arch guard 3.1 Install the air ram. Position it so the top of the snorkel body is inline with the bottom of the inlet of the air ram. This gives the best cyclone action to pre clean the air of the heavier contaminates 3.2 Install self tap screw into the air ram Wipe the plastic parts with silicon based plastic cleaner or similar. Important note: Do not turn the Air Ram away from the direction of travel because it will lessen the positive pressure necessary for proper operation. In extreme situation, at speed above 25km/h (15m/h) a vacuum may be generated causing irreversible engine damage. SD018 BT50 Page 7 of 8
