Tamco s credit terms are 1% -10 days, Net 30 days. (This discount applies only to merchandise; all freight charges are due in full.) 2. Repeated deviations or violation of our 30 day terms will result in an account being placed on credit hold and/or COD status. 3. Accounts with invoices unpaid beyond 60 days will be placed on credit hold and no further tools or parts will be sold until the account is current (No invoices open beyond 30 days). 4. In the event collections are required, the customer is responsible for all costs of collection. Pneumatic Tool Limited Warranty Tamco Inc., warrants its pneumatic tools to be free of defects in materials and workmanship, to the original purchaser, for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty will not apply to any tool which Tamco Inc., deems to have been abused, modifi ed, misused, improperly maintained, inadequately lubricated, or repaired by anyone other than a authorized Tamco repair house. Authorization to return any pneumatic tool for evaluation must be obtained from Tamco s customer service staff prior to return. All returns must be shipped prepaid to: No collect shipments will be accepted. Pneumatic tools shipped without authorization will be returned to the customer. Tamco Inc., guarantees to repair or replace (at Tamco s discretion) pneumatic tools at no charge to the original purchaser if defects in materials or workmanship exist at the time of inspection. Tamco Inc., makes no other expressed and/or implied warranty. Under no circumstances will Tamco Inc., be liable for damage to property or person, death, consequential, incidental, indirect or special damages of any nature arising from the sale or use of pneumatic tools. General Tool Warranty Tamco Inc., products are guaranteed against defects and workmanship. Tamco Inc., cannot be responsible for failures due to normal wear. Any product that has been modifi ed, misused, abused, or suffered a lack of proper maintenance will not be recognized for a warranty claim. This can cause tool failure and/or operator injury. 5. NEVER use a dull or improperly maintained tool. Failure to properly maintain tools will lead to tool failure and/or operator injury. 6. ALWAYS properly maintain air hammers. Worn parts, bushings, pistons, springs, etc can and will lead to premature tool failure. 7. ALWAYS warm tools prior to use in freezing temperatures. 8. NEVER alter any tool in any way. This can cause tool failure and/or operator injury. 9. ALWAYS use a silicon carbide grinding wheel on dull tools or drills with carbide cutting edges. Drills should be sharpened regularly after drilling or more holes, depending on the hardness and abrasiveness of the material. 10. NEVER allow a pneumatic hammer to run idly. This practice allows undue stress to build in the tool and can lead to premature tool failure and/or operator injury. 11. ALWAYS use tools in accordance with all OSHA and MSHA regulations.

All Toku breakers feature a rugged four bolt back head, drop forged alloy steel construction, forged latch retainers, replaceable chuck bushings, and safety triggers. Whether you are drilling through rock, concrete, or brick, Tamco offers a rock drill that will fit your distinct requirements. The Toku TS-55 rock drill has all the power needed for the biggest jobs. It features rugged construction and is designed for larger diameter bits and deeper drilling jobs. The Toku TJ-20 and TJ-15 are mid-sized rock drills that pack a big punch. These drills are great for road building, shaft sinking, quarrying, as well as general demolition or construction work. Both models include standard, removable in line oilers. Tamco carbide tipped drill bits used in rotary percussion hammers will drill hundreds of holes in granite, and a greater quantity in softer stone and concrete. For best results and a longer tool life, the carbide insert should be sharpened frequently. It is not only easier to grind a small amount of carbide more often, rather than larger amounts of dull carbide less frequently, it also results in a minimal loss of carbide and maximum usable life of the drill bit. It is a good practice to sharpen the carbide insert after drilling linear inches. This measure will vary accordingly to the hardness and abrasiveness of the material being drilled. It is important to maintain the original curvature of the carbide along with the 110 degree cutting angle during the sharpening process. Tamco can provide you with a drill guide to check and maintain the proper profi le and cutting angle. Dull carbide will cut slowly and will require more energy to drill a hole. This extra energy is absorbed by the drill, which can result in fractured carbides, failure of the steel, and/or a failure of the brazing which attaches the carbide into the steel. Dull carbides should be sharpened on a Green Silicone Carbide grinding wheel with a grit size of approximately 80 grit. These wheels are readily available at most industrial suppliers. 42 Intended Uses of Forged Tools Moil Points - Narrow Chisel Bits: These can be used in just about anything as long as they can move through. They are the proper tool to use on cement. When using in hard work, the extra grade tools are recommended. The Broad Moil Point is probably the best tool for cement work as there is more wedging action to it. 3 Blade Chisel, Digging Chisels: Their use is confined to easier working material such as hardpan gravel and the like. Although they might be used in seamy or shaley rock, they should be used for asphalt cutting. Asphalt Cutters: The name of this tool describes its primary use, cutting asphalt. It should be used on soft material becaused of the size of the blade. It could be used as a sod cutter and in hardpan or any place where there are no rocks. Clay Spade: Digging in clay is what this tool was designed to do. It should be used in soft materials where there are no rocks because of the thin sharp blade. Frost Wedge: This tool is used for breaking frozen ground although it may be used wherever a wedge could be driven for splitting action. Tamper Pads and Sheathing Driver: These are quite self-explanatory. Stake Driver / Pipe Driver (two-piece construction) These tools use detachable or tamper shanks and fi t over the outside of the stakes or pipe for driving into the ground. Concrete Buster: This is used for breaking concrete after a hole is drilled. The buster is driven into the hole. This does not work as well as the rock buster because there are no shims for it to slide on. Good Safey Practices Tamco tools are carefully manufactured from quality steel and are properly heat treated. Our tools are safe to use when used properly. Steel will fatigue if continuously used with dull cutting edges. Dull cutting edges also prevent work from being done efficiently. The extra energy used to drive dull cutting edges is absorbed by the steel and contributes to the fatigue of the steel. To provide good production, tools should be sharpened often. When the original hardened steel cutting edges are worn away the tools should be ground on a grinding wheel or reforged - then properly heat treated. Hand-held tools that are struck with a hammer will eventually upset on the head and chip off. Hammers must strike on the center of the face and tools must be struck on the center of the head to reduce upsetting and chipping of either the hammer or the tool. Upset edges should be ground off frequently to avoid chips from breaking off and flying. Tools and drills with carbide cutting edges should be ground on silicon carbide grinding wheels when the cutting edges become dull. It is easier to grind often than to grind a large amount of dull carbide later. Drills should be sharpened regularly after drilling or more holes depending upon the hardness and abrasiveness of the material being drilled. Good safety practice is for workmen to use gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, and safety shoes. Use of these safety items is usually required by utility companies and contracting fi rms and their good safety practices are worth following. Remember - improper use may cause breakage and serious injury.
