Use a plas c pry tool to release (3) clips, con nue applying outward pressure un l all clips are released.. Important Note: Keep fascia close to vehicle, un l the electrical sensor plug is disconnected, per step 7. Page 3 of 13

7. While holding the fascia, on the driver side of vehicle press the clip to disconnect the electrical sensor

Remove (3) nuts from each side of the factory reinforcement beam, with socket.

With chassis beam opening exposed, remove the first rubber grommet from outer side of channel.

4 7. While holding the fascia, on the driver side of vehicle press the clip to disconnect the electrical sensor plug. PUT THE FASCIA ON A PAD OR BLANKET TO PREVENT DAMAGE OR SCRATCHES. 15mm Socket 8. Remove (3) nuts from each side of the factory reinforcement beam, with socket. Note: Save (6) bolts for reinstalla on. 9. With chassis beam opening exposed, remove the first rubber grommet from outer side of channel. Align hitch beam with vehicle studs and slide the chassis support bracket through chassis beam opening. From underneath the vehicle insert the 7/16 bolt, lock washer and washer. Through the exposed hole and screw loosely into bracket weld nut. Page 4 of 13

15mm Socket 5/8 Socket Torque Wrench 10. Replace factory reinforcement beam on top, to sandwich the hitch.

Torque to 45. lbs. Use a 5/8 socket to torque chassis support bracket bolts. Torque to 59. lbs. 3/4 Socket 11. Assemble the latching mechanism.

Delay installing the 7 way connector and C bracket un l later, with wiring in step 27. Torque Wrench 12. To remove hands free trunk release cable holder.

5 15mm Socket 5/8 Socket Torque Wrench 10. Replace factory reinforcement beam on top, to sandwich the hitch. Use the (6) nuts saved from the factory reinforcement beam. Use a 15mm socket to torque the hitch beam and factory reinforcement beam bolts and nuts. Torque to 45. lbs. Use a 5/8 socket to torque chassis support bracket bolts. Torque to 59. lbs. 3/4 Socket 11. Assemble the latching mechanism. Use a torque wrench and an open end 3/4 wrench to ghten the supplied, 1/2 bolts to 90 3/4 Open End Wrench. lbs. Delay installing the 7 way connector and C bracket un l later, with wiring in step 27. Torque Wrench 12. To remove hands free trunk release cable holder. Remove (2) torx screws to dislodge holder Dislodge the controller by re A lease (2)clips. Mark the two hands free trunk release cables before removing the cables. Use a file to smooth out the cut. 14. Mount hands free trunk release controller with double sided tape. 15. To rea ach the hands free trunk release cables, use (6) moun ng bases and zip es to secure the hands free trunk release cables to the rear fascia (as shown). To remove the second part of the cargo area floor panel, pull the spring lock out of the hole, li the spring lock upwards to the release latch on floor panel. Remove (1) screw holding the seat belt guide bracket.

Two (2) clips are holding down the bracket.

8 Plas c Pry Tools 19. On the passenger side of the vehicle, slide the side panel trim piece forward to remove. A plas c pry tool can be used, if necessary. 8mm Socket 20. Remove (1) screw holding the seat belt guide bracket. Li up to remove seat belt guide bracket. Two (2) clips are holding down the bracket. A plas c pry tool can be used, if necessary. Plas c Pry Tools Clips view 21. Start at the top of trim piece, pull outward to all the clips are release, remove trim piece. Page 8 of 13

22. Start at the bo om of the upper trim piece,

Slide the upper trim piece down to remove.

Remove (2) plas c nuts on the threshold.

To remove the threshold, use a plas c pry tool to

25. To remove the passenger side rear side panel, unplug

7 way connector. Secure output wires with zip es.

10 25. To remove the passenger side rear side panel, unplug (3) plugs on rear side panel. Remove rear side panel. 26. Remove the grommet and discard. Route output wires from inside to outside of vehicle to the 7 way connector. Secure output wires with zip es. Phillips Head Screwdriver 27. Use screwdriver to remove (2) screws in 7 way housing. Route wires through the 7 way housing and connect to terminal block (per

Locate the vehicle wiring harness. Page 11 of 13

(Make sure all wiring steps are completed, before connec ng the trailer wiring harness connector to the control module, to prevent electrical surge.

12 10mm Socket 31. Remove the nut from the ground stud, with a socket. Insert the ground ring connectors to ground stud and ghten. 32. Plug in the vehicle wiring connectors into control module. Use double sided tape to secured the control module. 33. (Make sure all wiring steps are completed, before connec ng the trailer wiring harness connector to the control module, to prevent electrical surge.) 34. Reconnect the electrical sensor plug by placing fascia close to vehicle (from step 7). Align the center of the fascia and push clips in, to a ach. (Work from center toward the wheel wells) Page 12 of 13

Important note: Remember to reconnect the electrical sensor plug to fascia before reinstalla on of the
