Electromagnetic relays are the most extensively used and consist of an electromagnet that attracts an iron armature which makes or breaks a connection with a contact when it is excited (by a current flow that goes through a copper wire coil). An air valve is basically a tap that lets a gaseous fluid go through an opening in the valve, which then expand through the below ducts, while above the valve pressure is at the highest level. Brass is usually employed for these valves.
