Flex Lines: Black with original factory markings. Clamps: Spring style, crimped at carburetor. Fuel Pump: Carter. Original design & style. Natural cast aluminum and zinc dichromate finish. Oil Filter: Engine block color or white with Autolite design. Power Steering, Mount and Pulley: Semi-Gloss Black Components: Pump pulley. Pump (may be all black or all teal blue). Front of pump matches canister, 30 & 9 P/S bracket. Natural Components: Aluminum spacer and aluminum P/S bracket (351). Emission System: correct style, finish and design for year and model. Thermactor on California emissions and 351- must have proper size charcoal canister mounted in proper location and vapor return line. Thermactor Finishes: Natural: Pump housing, bypass/gulp valve, pulley bolts and hoses. 9 Thermactor tubes and check valves (9 painted green). Semi-Gloss Black: Pump rear cover, adjusting arm, pump mount and pulley. Clamps: Wittek type zinc dichromate finish. Pump to gulp valve hose may use Wittek pedestal type. Quality of workmanship, condition and cleanliness Underside of Hood: Same color as exterior. 71 with correct plenum and valves. Hood Hinges and Springs: Original style. 6 ENGINE COMPARTMENT Reason for Deduction Points Deduction Shock Tower Braces and Front Shock Tower Brackets: Two separate shock tower. Painted slop gray. Boss 9 - One-piece black export brace. Shock Tower Brackets: -Boss 9 semi-gloss black, all others phosphate and oil. Brace-to-firewall bolts are zinc dichromate except which are phosphate & oil. Firewall and Inner Fender Panels: Painted semi-gloss black. Fender and Inner Fender Bolts: Original color and style with disc washers cadmium finish zinc dichromate finish. Firewall Sound Deadener (Sealant): At proper places on firewall including any areas where components come through the firewall, such as wiring and heater motor. Ground strap and bolt without undercoating (sound deadener applied before engine installed). Quality of workmanship, condition and cleanliness of above categories 10 Master Cylinder, Power Brake Unit and Rigid Brake Lines: Master Cylinder: Semi-gloss black or cast iron finish. Cap: Semi-gloss black or cadmium finish. Must have USE ONLY ESA-MC5-A BRAKE FLUID CAUTION on cap. Power Brake Booster: Semi-gloss black finish. Rigid Brake Lines: Natural steel finish Clutch Linkage: Correct style, finish and mounted properly. Clutch Arm: Correct boots. Hoses: Molded rubber hose of original size and configuration - FoMoCo or Autolite. Clamps: Wire style with wire staples. Painted Surfaces in Trunk: Must match exterior color except fold-down door or rear seat hardware Boss 30, Dearborn and Metuchen - must have low gloss black overspray on tail light panel. Sound deadener must be present on trunk side of quarter panels all dark gray splatter paint on trunk floor including galvanized plugs. Trap door matches interior color. Hinges painted semi-gloss black. Trunk Wiring: Correct style and covering. Routed as original, with correct attaching clips and hardware. Trunk Weather-strip and Jacking Instructions: Original style mounted on underside of trunk lid. Decals - Jacking instructions, space saver and highway safety decal. Lower control arms (9-70 all have jacking tabs) may be all natural or black with natural ball joint ends. 1 Front Semi-Gloss Black Parts: Sway bar, coil springs (may be natural). Quality of workmanship, condition and cleanliness Power Steering Hoses, Control Valve and Related Items: Correct style, routing and finishes. Front Brakes - Disc: Calipers, natural finish with safety wire correctly routed. Splash shields - semi-gloss black finish. Caliper mounting bracket - natural finish. Two piece rotors and caliper mounting bracket bare cast iron. Front Wheel Wells: Top side show signs of primer, sound deadener and body color overspray. Inner fenders, wheel-side, should show blending of body color, primer and engine compartment color. Spring Cover: Painted batch color on Dearborn cars. Undercarriage: Undercarriage primer batch color (no deduction for red oxide) with some body color and pinch weld paint overspray.
