PZD/PZi-32/52 High Capacity Models The PZD pump is simple to set and operate as the injection rate can be entered directly. This eliminates conversions. Injection rate can be set three ways: Stroke speed: 1 to 3 spm Percentage: 1 to 1% Direct entry of injection rate in ml/min Set points can be easily viewed on the LCD High Capacity models are available in material codes VFC, SS and FTC only. VFC model is shown. Calibration function is standard. Calibration measures the actual discharge volume under the exact operating conditions and stores that value to ensure the correct injection rate. 3

The flow checker is an oval gear flow meter which measures the pump output and transmits one pulse for each 1 ml of flow. MODEL FLC1-B FLOW INDICATOR TOTALIZER see page 5 Flow checker output can be connected to Model PZi8 Pumps for instantaneous indication of pump output displayed on the pump LCD. The flow checker output can also be connected to a Neptune Model FLC1-B Flow Indicator Totalizer, to display both instantaneous flow and totalized flow. 5 MODEL PZiA Automatic Flow Control Electronic Metering Pump Features Built-in calibration Maintains precise feed rate by correcting for changes in pressure/viscosity Precise batch injection Benefits PZiA Electronic Metering Pumps are the first in the world to feature an integrated automatic discharge volume control. Special circuitry allows onboard calibration of pump flow under actual process conditions. Each PZiA is furnished with a Flow Checker for feed verification and a constant pressure valve for the best possible accuracy. Once calibrated, the pump can be manually set or can be controlled by an analog signal. The pump then automatically adjusts by increasing or decreasing the stroking speed to maintain the precise flow rate regardless of changes in temperature, pressure, or viscosity. PZiA pump accuracy has been verified by KEMA. After calibration, a specific amount to be injected is entered on the electronic touch pad. Pump may be started manually or initiated by remote signal. The pump runs as long as necessary for the oval gear meter to measure the set amount and resets for the next command. See chart on page 2. SIZE size code selects the capacities per the chart below. Sizes -31, -61 and -12 are available for type PZ, PZi4 or PZi8. Note higher capacity sizes -32/52 have slightly different type codes. Specify type PZD for manual control; specify type PZi for external input. MATERIAL CODE select from chart on page 3. This pump is designed for outdoor use. Avoid installing pump in a location where service life could be shortened (i.e., where it is exposed to direct sunlight or rain). This pump cannot pump liquids containing a slurry.
