4 Manifold Actiman Manifold System Features and Benefits The Actiman System is a modular design which means there is no weld construction allowing the manifold to have adjustable centres. The Actiman manifold comes complete with a sight glass at both ends of the manifold to show when the manifold is flooded and also to identify the product. Actiman can now be supplied with the product return system integrated into the main body making the Actiman the most compact system on the market. 7 Product Return System Product Return System Features and Benefits Allows spillage free product change and transfer between tankers or compartments at ground level. The system can have a standalone control box or can be integrated into the manifold control box. Safety Overcomes the need for drivers to climb on top of the vehicle to transfer loads or change the product within the hose. The system is safe, clean and fast. Flow Rate Gives the highest flow rate available for a quicker product transfer. Design Product return integrated into the manifold body creating the most compact manifold on the market. 9 Gas Separator DMX Gas Separator With the high cost of fuels, accuracy of metered fuel delivery is critical. Pumps have been falsely accused of being too efficient and pumping air into the delivery hose, especially on split compartment deliveries and testing. To address this problem, Blackmer introduces the DMX Gas Separator. The DMX unit is installed on the inlet side of the pump and removes the entrained air from the product. This allows the meter to then measure only liquid and no air, making measurement far more accurate. The DMX Gas Separator is sold to OEM tank truck builders around the world. DMX is designed to work with either Blackmer CC8 pumps or Blackmer TXD series pumps. Both pumps require the use of pneumatic relief valves to properly work with DMX Gas Separator. 10 Truck Meter Systems Truck Meter Systems Alpeco s range of truck meter systems combine world renown Liquid Controls flow meters, with industry proven Cargo pumps and DMX Gas separators from Blackmer. System variants offer mechanical or electronic registration, hose reel and bulk metering with wet or dry hose delivery options, all of which are certified by UK NWML. Lectrocount offers the ultimate in electronic metering systems and gives significant operational and administrative benefits to the user. Multi-functional software allows variable set up and control of the delivery system whilst providing comprehensive management information such as end of shift reports showing the number of deliveries, grades and volumes delivered. Lectrocount can be programmed with up to 24 named products across 4 calibration groups thus ensuring optimum accuracy for all deliveries and elimination of the product losses associated with conventional mechanical meter systems. Controllability and safety can be enhanced further with Alpeco s radio remote STOP/START system which can be integrated with Lectrocount to provide finger tip control of the tanker delivery system from the end of the delivery hose. 11 Overfill Prevention Systems Overfill Prevention Systems ATEX approved and compatible with all UK gantry systems, Liberty Overfill Prevention equipment is failsafe in operation and ensures optimum protection against dangerous overfills. The Liberty Bottom Socket incorporates an interlock facility for use in conjunction with vapour transfer valves. The brake interlock switch is located in the centre of the 10 pin plug and is protected from the elements by a dust cap when the vehicle is in transit. 12 Manlid Manlid Alpeco s 20 manlid has been made to the latest standards. The layout has been designed to help the tanker builder integrate the lid into the truck design. When the lid is in position on a tank with the dip tube on the centre line, the vapour transfer valve is angled towards the combing helping flow rates and installation. 18 3 Vapour Recovery VAP300C Self-sealing vapour coupler designed for 3" vapour hoses. 19 Vapour Transfer Vapour Transfer Valve The VTV300 has one of the lowest profiles on the market and in some cases has helped reduce the ullage of compartments. This means that each compartment can carry more product. VTV300 comes fitted with an internal flame gauze The exhaust air from the sequential system can be piped away. The VTV300 has to be earthed. An earthing bolt is located on the side of the unit. A vapour transfer pipe is also available and has moulded cuffs at each end to create a vapour tight seal. 20 Delivery Skids Bottom Loading Skids Applications The Alpeco range of Bottom Loading Skids are self-contained units designed for flow rates of over 2500 l/min per arm. Each skid component is carefully chosen to match the desired flow rate and loading geometry required. The units are constructed from treated mild steel and supplied direct to site in a fully assembled condition ready for bolting down onto prepared foundations. Brand new sites and terminal upgrades are equally well served with this method of construction and real savings can be found in both time and on-site engineering costs. The standard configuration is for single-side loading with up to 5 product lines. Also offered is a modified system for dual-side loading, which is ideal for tightly spaced depots with high throughput. 17

This is the only UK designed and manufactured loading arm available and customers can be assured of full technical sales and service support. 23 Rollover Equipment DOES-1 Device for Offloading Emergency Stage 1. A special fitting to deal with the offloading of an overturned tanker. DOES1 is connected onto the diptube mandrel, secured, and a take off hose attached to the isolating valve. The valve is then opened to allow product to be drawn from the compartment down to the level of the diptube. The DOES1 is designed to fit a four pin diptube mandrel DOES-1A As above but designed to work with a three pin diptube mandrel DOES-2 A device to off-load product from a compartment in an overturn situation when DOES1 has been used, but has not allowed the product to be removed to below the manlid level. It replaces the diptube completely and gives a lower level suction point to reduce product level to below the manlid opening

39 IBC Dispensing Alpeco designs and manufactures IBC delivery skids. Both stand-alone and fixed versions are available. Single or multiple hose reels can be supplied to suit your needs. The stand-alone skid is powered by a diesel engine with its own fuel tank, battery and air compressor which can be used in many environments. The fixed skids are powered locally, usually from a truck s PTO and battery. Alpeco IBC skids are custom built to suit the needs of the customer. 40 Industrial process meters Industrial process meters Liquid Controls Positive Displacement flow meters in aluminium, stainless, brass and cast iron provide the necessary accuracy for batch processing, flow rate control, blending and custody transfer of liquids across a broad range of products, viscosities, temperatures and pressures. Meters can be supplied with mechanical counters and registers, or they can be supplied with the LC Pulse Output Device (POD) for compatibility with Liquid Controls LectroCount electronic registration system or other scalable, pulser-driven counters, batch controllers or flow computers. Liquid Controls flow meters can be easily specified to include an assortment of process connections including ANSI flange, slip-on weld flange, NPT or BSPT threads. Popular applications in the food industry include metering liquid sweeteners such as corn syrup and vegetable oils. A full range of the metal components such as spindles and pistons are available. Please contact the sales team on for an assembly drawing to suit your valve. We can also supply replacement heads for the complete range of valves, including all the working parts, except the body. This is ideal in old installations where the body is in existing pipe work and would be hard to remove.
