2 RTULTIS on your purchase of a ower-ole Sportsman shallow water anchor system. It has been desgned, engneered, and manufactured to provde the best possble performance and dependablty for years of enjoyment. lease read and retan ths manual. The nformaton contaned n ths manual descrbes the proper procedures for safely nstallng, operatng and mantanng your ower-ole shallow water anchor. UTI: Do not use the ower-ole shallow water anchor as your prmary anchorage. ever leave your boat unattended whle anchored solely wth the ower-ole shallow water anchor.
3 TRII Read ths operator s manual carefully. ecome famlar wth the controls and know how to operate your ower-ole shallow water anchor properly. Do not allow chldren to operate the ower-ole shallow water anchor wthout adult supervson. Do not modfy the unt n any way or add accessores not ntended for ths unt. lways dsconnect power from ower-ole shallow water anchor before servcng. RTI In the event of pump falure the ower-ole shallow water anchor may be manually rased by applyng enough pressure to bypass the ole-rotector valve thus allowng the unt to come all the way up to the stowed poston. If the ower-ole shallow water anchor s beyond reach t can be forced up by drvng the boat forward to shallower water. Depressng the up button on the ower- ole shallow water anchor control may offer assstance. D T TU T SI. e sure to have the ower-ole shallow water anchor n the full up poston when usng outboard motor at hgh speeds. eep your hands and clothng completely clear of the ower-ole shallow water anchor at all tmes. Do not use the ower-ole shallow water anchor as a step or handle to enter or ext the boat. ever allow chldren to play wth or around the ower-ole shallow water anchor. ever leave your boat unattended wth the ower-ole shallow water anchor as the prmary anchorage. In hgh wnd or rough seas the ower-ole shallow water anchor may releve holdng pressure to protect your boats transom. If any debrs gets caught around the ower-ole shallow water anchor, DIST power from motor and remove any debrs. IT D STR UTI ydraulc lnes always have pressure, dsconnectng the lnes wll cause sudden hgh pressure leakage and ower-ole shallow water anchor falure whch may cause bodly harm. Inspect all hydraulc lne fttngs between usage for proper tghtness to be sure there are no leaks. ake sure all power connectons are secure and free of corroson once every three months. Inspect all nuts, bolts and screws after 100 cycles of usage for proper tghtness to be sure the ower-ole shallow water anchor s n safe workng condton. ote: ½ Lock nuts at top knuckle jont and ½ lock nuts at hydraulc cylnder should be tghtened to 48 nch pounds / 4 foot pounds of torque. The ½ lock nuts on stern bracket should be tghtened to 72 nch pounds / 6 foot pounds of torque. nce tghtened f ower-ole shallow water anchor s stll lose replace bushngs. Inspect all hydraulc lnes between usage for possble chaffng or damage from knkng or abrason. eep the hydraulc reservor flled wthn the ndcator marks at all tmes. Thoroughly rnse all movng parts after each use. lways make sure the ower-ole shallow water anchor s n the full up poston when the boat s on the traler. Lubrcate the hnge bushngs perodcally wth a spray Lthum rease to prevent the unt from squeakng.
