Below are the rebate application forms you and your participating contractor need to fill out completely. Upon receipt of your application, you can expect your rebate check in 6-8 weeks. Residential Electric Rebate - Use this form for a rebate on an energyefficient central air conditioning system, central air-source heat pump, electric heat pump water heater or programmable thermostat. Residential Natural Gas Rebate - Use this form for a rebate on an energyefficient furnace, water boiler, steam boiler or indirect hot water heater that uses natural gas. Duct and Air Sealing Rebate - Use this form if you had blower door testing and air sealing and / or duct blasting and duct sealing performed by a Con Edison participating contractor certified by the Building Performance Institute (BPI). $1,500 Federal Tax Credit for Energy Efficiency Energy-efficient products or renewable energy systems installed in 2010 may also qualify for a Federal tax credit for 30 percent of the cost (including installation and labor), up to a maximum of $1,500. Plus, You May Qualify for Other Energy Programs New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) offers programs for homeowners who want to be more energy-efficient.
