This watertight roofing blade is the basic structural element. When it is in a sequential sectional composition it forms a water-tight cover of exterior surfaces, resistant to loads such as wind and snow. The blades rotate and allow opening, thus regulating the balance of shade and sun exposure. This provides us with an excellent exterior living space in all seasons and ensures long-term use. 5

9 PERGOLA Agava SL TM Pergola Agava SL is a modern outdoor living area designed to perfectly fit into the environment. It can provide exceptional quality of life in the open air with a high degree of visual and thermal comfort. It can be a terrace covering or a stand-alone facility in the back yard. The rotating blades protect perfectly against overheating, all the while providing beneficial ventilation. The blades are designed to channel excess water through support columns. The quality construction is made in accordance with Eurocode standards. It provides a high degree of resistance to strong wind. 9

With the use of steel profiles in the Pergola structure you gain more freedom in designing the perfect solution for your space. You can have greater spans, less visible columns, bigger overhangs and a more elegant and sleek look. Agava can also include a stronger lamella blade, which is capable of bridging a span up to 6.5 meters. The Agava can be equipped with the same quality add-on-s as you are used to at the Agava SL, and more. 17

23 USE OF STEEL ON PERGOLAS TM PERGOLA Agava Advantages of steel Our Pergola frames are made with steel profiles. Steel exhibits desirable physical properties that makes it one of the most versatile structural materials in use. High Strength Higher spans, less deflection, smaller profiles. Uniformity Properties of steel do not change through time. Elasticity Steel can withstand extensive deformation without breaking. Toughness - Steel has both strength and ductility. Sustainability - Can be most easily recycled. In comparison with aluminium, which is the standard material for pergolas, steel is: 3 x STRONGER (355 Mpa for S355 steel vs Mpa for Aluminium EN AW-) 2,9 x HEAVIER (7850 kg/t vs 2700 kg/t) 3 x STIFFER (200 MPa vs MPa) The material properties of steel vs aluminium make it the better material for the Pergola frames, when used in demanding projects, with longer spans, less columns and the need of unique geometry. Corrosion protection The Agava steel structure has to be treated differently than the aluminum pergolas. To protect the Agava steel structure we use a high quality duplex system with approx. 80 μm of hot dip zinc galvanization, 50 μm of epoxy primer and μm of polyurethane coating. The corrosion protection procedure is applied to the structure according to the standards EN ISO (1-8). With the duplex protection system we gain more chemical resistance, surface resistance and the highest overall life expectancy of the protection system, for decades to come. Durability according to EN ISO 12944: Low (L) 2 years to 5 years Medium (M) 5 years to 15 years High (H) more than 15 years The used duplex protection system satisfies the highest durability class of C3-H (high durability more than 15 years*). * The Durability class does not affect the Warranty.
