Top & Bottom Cowl Alignment (no gaps) 2. Retained Nuts secure & correct 3. Oil Door operational 4. Pin Bent in Oil Door hinge 5. Spinner not touching front of cowl & Propeller 6. Oil Cooler not touching bottom cowling 7. Cylinder Heads not touching Top & Bottom Cowling 8. NACA duct secure with no sharp edges 9. 4 Interior Fuel system: 1. filters secure & flow direction correct 2. fuel line secure a) bulk head to fuel pump b) fuel pump to selector valve c) fuel selector valve to gascolator left & right d) gascolator left & right to fuel gauge e) gascolator left & right to rear fuel pickup in wing root f) Fuel Gauge forward fuel line in wing root 3. check hose route (a) (f) 4. check valve operation left & right Check left wing fuel line is attached to left hand side fuel tap. Check right wing fuel line is attached to right hand side fuel tap 5. check valve cover and mount secure to console 6. check finger filters secure Fuel Breather: a. Check breather hose clamps and breather route b. Wing Breather tube to wing root secure c. Wing root breather tube to sharks fin Left & Right hand side secure d. Sharks fin to overflow secure e. Sharks fin secure on fuselage f. Check gauze is not blocked g. Check 1/8 holes have been drilled & clear h. Check Fuel breather tube is secure to body fuel filler i. Fuel Breather check has been conducted: Please note: you must be able to hear air in all three outlets independently by a) Removing filler cap in left wing & blow into sharks fin bocking 1/8 holes b) Removing filler cap in right wing & blow into sharks fin bocking1/8 holes c) With both filler caps in body fuel filler listen to breather outlet under fuselage Fuel Gauge Left & Right: 1. Secured to fuselage 2. Check for leaks 3. Add one litre of fuel to each tank & mark fuel level ensure fuselage is level. 4. Fuel decal in place left & right Fuel Flow Test: 1. Add 20lts of fuel to left & right hand tank 2. check Fuel taps have been indexed i.e. on is on off is off 3. Select left tank only & measure fuel flow a) Fuel pump off lts per minute b) fuel pump on lts per minute 4.
